Dishonest sales tactics throughout my purchase. I was sold a vehicle protection plan that was expressly described as providing 100,000 miles of additional coverage. At the time of purchase, no paperwork for the plan was provided--only a $3,000 line item on the invoice. After the sale, I had to specifically request the protection plan documentation. When it was finally provided, the coverage was 40,000 miles less than what was clearly represented to me during the sale. Additionally, I negotiated the vehicle price to $300 below the advertised price, but the final paperwork reverted to the original price. I caught this discrepancy just before signing. I was going to purchase a Hyundai Ioniq 6 SE from this dealership. I was just quoted a $2,999 CPO charge on a vehicle that was not advertised as a CPO vehicle. This is probably the shadiest and most unethical upcharge I have seen on a used (or new) car purchase. Not only does this undermine Kia (and Hyundai's) reputation, it appears that this upcharge is either not for a genuine Hyundai CPO, or covers items already covered under Hyundai's warranty. Quoting Amber Smith from Parkside Kia... "You will see a 2,799 [I was quoted $2,999 on paper] add on to the car and that is the car being kept as a Certified Pre-Owned. It will be covered for 1 year bumber to bumper and continuing the powertrain warranty for the battery for the remainder of the time it has, your inteiror and exterior will also be protected for 5 years on this vehicle as a benifit of working with us. Repeated Tint Issues After purchase, I had to return three separate times to address problems with the window tint. Even after those attempts, I was finally told, "This is just the best we can get." It was close enough to avoid the inconvenience of yet another trip--until I noticed the door panel clip was broken, likely due to scraps of tint film being jammed behind the panel. This was incredibly frustrating and sloppy. 2. Glove Box Broken Without Notification During my first oil change, the service team broke the glove box arm while checking the cabin air filter--without telling me. I only found out because it wasn't working. I was told a part would be ordered. I waited... and waited. When I followed up, they told me the part had arrived--but "they forgot to call me." I booked an 8:00 AM appointment, confirmed the day before. I arrived early at 7:50 AM, only to receive a text that my appointment had been canceled while standing in line. I received no reply. I've invested over $200,000 in vehicles from Parkside Kia, including the latest Niro. I have not asked for anything unreasonable--just that what I was promised and paid for be delivered, and that any damaged parts caused by poor service be repaired or refunded. I even said I'd accept removal of the flawed premium parts and a partial refund--estimated around $500-$1,000. Nothing extravagant. Just what's right. Final Thoughts: All I want is for wrong to be made right. Absolutely Unbelievable - Parkside Kia Sold Me the Wrong Car I genuinely can't believe I'm having to write this. I purchased a car from Parkside Kia nearly a month ago. All paperwork was signed, everything seemed finalized. Took the car in for a service today and that's when the nightmare started. During the service, they suddenly "realized" they sold me the wrong car. Yes, you read that right. A MONTH after the sale, they discovered their own mistake and then had the audacity to call me and say I either needed to return the car or pay them more money. What kind of dealership doesn't even know what vehicles it's selling and then tries to hold the customer responsible for their screw-up? This is not just wildly unprofessional, it's borderline fraudulent. Parkside Kia clearly has no grasp of basic organization, accountability, or customer service. If you wish to spend the next 25 or so minutes attempting to talk to a human at the facility, go right ahead. The AI voice does everything it can delay or deny your contact with a human employee at the dealership to schedule service or ask a question regarding your KIA purchase. Out of curiosity, I called the Rusty Wallace Kia dealership on Callahan Drive. The call was immediately answered by a pleasant human voice that put my call through to the Service Department. Just took car in for maintenance. I'm from out of town, on way home when I turned the air conditioning on it was making a horrible noise. I have reached out multiple times by calling with messages left and email with no response. Vehicle was starting to smell hot. Took to someone else because I can't get a response and they said it looked like something had been dropped on it and fan is cracked. I am a travel nurse, purchased my new vehicle from them in August 2025. I requested to keep my tags as I was leaving for Texas the next day, and was assured by finance department this wouldn't be a problem. Towards the end of September, I started receiving emails and calls concerning my DD214 to receive the military discount. I had brought it into them the day I signed the final paperwork. Parkside Kia claims because it had my previous married name on it, I now needed to provide my marriage license/divorce papers or it wasn't valid. I explained that my social security number was the same, my credit check should have all my names listed and I emailed them a copy of my veteran's ID. It's now going on 4 months without my promised registration and no one will answer my calls concerning this issue. I have called and left at least 5 messages on the machine and with the front desk. I finally speak to someone and after looking up my vehicle I was told my car was under warranty. I then find out after taking off work and scheduling an appointment it wasn't. WARNING!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! I just purchased a new Kia K5 (mid May 2025) at Parkside Kia in Knoxville and when I got home I saw that the sales manager had intentionally ripped me off $1,000 above what I agreed upon with the final handshake with him. The sales manager there (Curtis) actually changed the one to a two on my final offer of $31,000 out the door but he didn't allow me to see his acceptance of the final deal sheet until after I had already signed the closing papers, he simply came over to me and said "I'm not going to lose your business over $300 am I?" I said "no" and shook his hand, agreeing verbally to $31,300 out the door. They charged me $1,000 more than that in the closing papers. I should have caught it, but to my defense I trusted them to get it right and I was having so many numbers thrown at me in the closing that I didn't catch it. When I got home, I saw it clearly. When I came back to talk to the head manager of the dealership to make it right, I saw that the sales manager had actually forged my signature on a deal sheet that I had never seen to make it look like the $32,300 was where we were going with the negotiating. I know for 1,000% certainty that I NEVER signed anything $32K or above. I had thoroughly explained to the sales rep that Kia Chattanooga had the same car and I could save almost $2,000 by driving an hour down there to get that one. They tricked me into thinking I was getting the car for just a little above Chattanooga's price by fraudulently changing the one in $31,000 that I wrote with my own hand writing to a 2... after the handshake was given. The 2 did not even look anything like the two that I draw all the time, my twos have a curl at the bottom and a curve at the top, that one looked like a Z, and I showed them proof of that with 2's I had written in the past on check copies, and when I zoomed in on a photo on my iphone of the final agreement I signed that they changed, anyone can tell that the 1 was manipulated into a 2 because the top and bottom lines that make the 2 were double thick compared to the one that I had drawn. The general manager did nothing for me to fix this, he even accused me of "buyer's remorse" which couldn't be further from the truth. I just don't like having $1,000 stolen from me. Contacted the Factory, got the parts and the ok to repair it, made a call, got me a rental car to get me back and forth for a week. The repairs took more than the week the warranty covered, so Parkside gave me a loaner to use until confirming the repairs were done correctly, then BOOM out the door, zero issues zero charges, Their service advisor kept me up to speed on the progress, and unlike most car dealers, was totally honest about the whole process, start to finish. Please read this review before you choose Parkside Kia in Knoxville. They are awful, and just another "hoity toity" dealership. They have all the ingredients that make going to a dealership cringe worthy. Even though we were purchasing the most expensive and high-end vehicle they carry, I guess we didn't hit a high enough pretentious score for them. One would think that based on their advertisement that customers are first and other nauseating dribble, we would have been treated like royalty when we were actually treated like crap. Here is our story. We ordered a 2025 Kia Carnival XS Prestige, Astra Blue, Tuscan Umber interior on August 10, 2024. Just shy of 20 weeks later on December 19, 2024, we terminated the order. We had put down a $1,000 (non-refundable) deposit when we ordered the vehicle. The only piece of paper we received was a tiny cash register receipt for the $1,000. On September 28th, we had not heard from or received any further paperwork on our vehicle from Parkside, so we visited the dealership. They provided us with a piece of paper with a few sentences showing that it was ordered, but with no details on the car itself and if it was actually our car that was ordered. We never received phone calls, emails, nothing. On November 7th, we called the dealership and tried to talk to Matthew Morano, our "salesperson" and never heard back (he was worthless), but Dominick texted us and said that they were still waiting for Kia to "fill" the order? All he said was that he would let us know when he had an update. That was the only communication we ever got from them in nearly 20 weeks, and although we knew the vehicle could take a while to arrive, some communication was expected. Dominick had told us that he would try to find one in the area, but we never heard from anyone even though there were vehicles in the area (Bristol, Atlanta, Columbia SC, even as far as Cincinnati that we found ourselves. However, even those Kia dealerships were unscrupulous and left a bad a taste. On December 16, we called to see if we could get our deposit back. The sales manager said that he would refund us at that point. We never heard back from him after he told us that he had to take another call. On December 19, we wanted to talk to the manager of the dealership to arrange to come in and pick up our check. We had left a message on the 18th that we were coming, but never heard back. After being on hold on the 19th for 17 minutes after saying that we were coming to get the check, we finally drove to Knoxville (42 miles from our house) and were able to get the check arranged by RJ Crites, General Manager, the only person who treated us with respect. We were very interested in buying a Kia because of its quality, warranty, ratings. This dealership changed our minds quickly and we ended up purchasing the sister car to the Telluride, the 2025 Hyundai Palisade at a down to earth, caring and family-feel dealership, Tarr Hyundai, in Morristown, TN whom we've purchased another vehicle through recently. Tarr actually found our vehicle in Canton, Georgia and we had it the next day. They took the time to make the sale and give their customers what they wanted. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Tarr and our new vehicle. read more

I bought my car April 1st through Sam's Club auto buying program. I never received any discount and was told I was not eligible as only programs offered were veterans and loyalty. I reminded them I was only buying from them due to Sam's program. Did not matter. And to make it worse, I still don't have my auto registration( why rush as it's only been close to 3 months). And they sneaked in the extended car warranty after I repeatedly said I did not want it. After discussing my husband texted Patrick not even 30 mins later and said we will take it that he will be working in town in am and could stop by first thing, at lunch, or after work. Well Patrick replied: "okay, come after work". The next day I got up after 3 hours of sleep to make this deal happen. Patrick met us in the entry saying "the car had just sold! I was a little upset because he could have called my husband and he would have ran by earlier in the day. My husband thought they had an understanding. Patrick told my husband "well we can't go off of a verbal to hold & I couldn't tell you to miss work just to come buy a car". We looked at other Sorentos and he offered one with similar mileage same trim style for $ 6,000 more. He keep running back and forth to speak with his manager constantly.. which I find really odd.. Patrick knew we had a loaner car. He started lecturing my husband saying things "well, what are you going to do when your loaner is up? You need to do what's best for your family... Well, that higher trim level you like you would have to put like 16 grand down and it will have a high interest rate" He became very pushy, rude, & insulting. I had a gut feeling of I'm not making a deal with this guy at all. Listen people he did not know me, my finances, or my income. How dare a single man lecture another man on what's best for his family! Extremely unprofessional! We left. I went down the road a few days later and got a beautiful vehicle.. 2022. Low mileage. HIGHEST trim level with lowest interest rate I've ever had and NO I did not have to put 16 grand down. Parkside Kia was very shady in my opinion and needs to hire HONEST non-lecturing salesmen that stick to their word. He worked with us covering trade in, showed us the selection of vehicles we were interested in, allowed us a chance to test drive the vehicle we were interested in, negotiated and agreed on a price, and took us through finance in just under three hours. Had to pay not only Parkside Kia mechanics but my own mechanics for the job and not even an apology from them. Instead, I have been harassed by robocalls and crap mail. Had bought a beautiful 2021 Kia Stinger GT2 and found out there had been a $2500 rebate on the car that had not been accounted for and wanted to discuss it 2 days after I bought it. I brought a male friend with me (long time family friend who we introduced as 'dad' but was really someone from another dealership) and we sat down with the General Sales Manager Cliff and basically went downhill from there. Cliff never acknowledged my existence even though I was the one who had purchased the car and talked to my friend the entire time. He then had the nerve to ask him "is she an adult" and my age while still ignoring me. He refused to listen to anything we tried to say and told my friend to "adjust his attitude" even though he was the one causing a scene. At one point we simply asked if we could get a pen and his response was "No" the whole incident was extremely awkward. In all I have never met a more rude person in my life and caution anyone to go there. Thankfully got out of the whole deal, Cliff decided to ask for the keys back rather than do his job and withheld the title to my trade in until I brought back the spare keys. The look on their faces when I showed up the next day in a 2022 version of the exact same car, and saved 4K and $50/month, from Rusty Wallace Kia to give back the keys and get my title however was priceless. read more

We purchased our 2023 KIA Sportage in June from Parkside KIA. A week and a half ago I drove over something on the interstate that caused the check engine light to come on. It was unavoidable. So, I contacted Parkside KIA service department and explained what had happened. I was afraid to drive the vehicle and asked if they could work it in or could they tell me if I could at least still drive it with that light on. I was told that I had to make an appointment and they would not be able to work it in. The next available appointment was at the end of December! Obviously, I can't go a month and a half, without having a vehicle to drive. This is my only vehicle. I took it to their competitor at Rusty Wallace KIA. They originally told me on the phone that they could work it in, but it may be week or two. I took it there on Monday. The service guy was super helpful and was able to order the part the same day and it was fixed by Friday! This was Thanksgiving week! I can't believe that they work so fast to get my car fixed. Whatever I hit put a hole in the under shield and broke the charcoal canister and was dangerous to drive. Rusty Wallace KIA service department went above and beyond. I went to Parkside Kia the other day wanting to look at cars. I worked with Brandon and he was phenomenal. But that was the only phenomenal part of the experience. I had a pre approval for up to $50,000 but wanted to keep it under $30,000 and I told Brandon this. I first started looking at a brand new K5 GT and was told the price was $36,000. This was a little higher than I what I wanted to pay and I told Brandon this. He then suggested I look at the Kia Forte GT because they are cheaper. He then brought out a 2020 Kia Forte GT that had been traded in the day before and did not have a price. I test drove the vehicle and really liked it, but just needed to know the price. Once back at the store, I again asked for a price and was told that it would have to be serviced first. I then waited for 3 hours for them to simply give me a price on the vehicle that I was interested in. They also had no idea what type of pre approval I had and wouldn't give me a price until after they found my pre approval from my bank. When I finally did get the price, they had the Forte priced at $33,000 or $35,000 and was going to be $39,000 in total for a car that's 2 almost 3 years old. Once I got home I decided I was going to look up the KBB of the Forte I had looked at. I made sure to add every feature that the car had. The KBB value of the car I was looking at was $27,000 (a lot less than $33,000 or $35,000). Also, the MSRP for a brand new 2022 Kia Forte GT with the nicest package is $27,000. Again that's for a brand new 2022. So how is a car that's 2 years old worth more than a brand new car? I felt like you took advantage of my pre approval and I WILL NOT recommend anyone to this location. Do not come to Parkside Kia. They are shady and will try to take advantage of you. Side note for the financing department, next time you wanna screw someone, at least give them some lipstick so they can look pretty before you screw them! read more

What a letdown! I went online and found the car that I wanted, then I went through the whole process to get an online quote (which is an option online). I also went through the process to get an instant quote on what my trade-in would be worth. Trying to be on top of things-you know....to make things easier. If it's an option, why not go on and get some of the questions and paperwork somewhat completed? Got a phone call the following morning to come and look at the car. I then asked the salesman what the price was and what my numbers might look like and he proceeded to tell me that he didn't want to give me a price over the phone until the dealership was able to look at my trade-in vehicle. Even though I had already completed the trade in quote tool on their website. I then made special trip that same day after work to go look at this car. I was completely let down when he told me the asking price for the vehicle. Why was all let down you ask? There is also an online option to see the window sticker. Yes, I checked everything before asking for the online quote just to cover all my bases. Upon arrival to the dealership I was told that the asking price for that vehicle was MORE than what showed on the window sticker. This was NEVER mentioned via email, phone, text until I sat down at the dealership. If the option for an online quote is there you should be able to actually GET an online quote. Also, if you go through the process to get an online instant quote on what the trade-in value is you would think this info would be checked before contacting the customer. Why are these even options if they are not going to be fulfilled by the dealership? I got my hopes up for absolutely nothing! That is a trip that could have been avoided had the "online quote" actually happened! I do not recommend this dealership for the simple fact that all things aren't disclosed until they get you in the seat in front of them. One day later....below is the very "professional" response I received from the Sales Manager Steven Abshire. Hi Kim, This is Steven Abshire. I was your sales manager yesterday. I am sorry that you felt that you did not have a good experience at the dealership yesterday. I have reviewed your communication with Jeremy. I saw that you asked if it were possible to do numbers and Jeremy said that we need trades, which is accurate with the car shortage. You then asked if you could come in after work. I don't see where our sales person was rude or manipulative at all. When you arrived I worked numbers for you and put the KBB instant offer into your trade, even with the moderate accident on the Carfax. Getting to your payment was mathematically impossible with the amount of negative equity you have. I am at $475 at 0% for 96 months. Since you have done your research you know that there is not 0% available let alone at 96 months. Instead of wasting hours of your time we let you know that we couldn' t get there. Isn't that the better option? As I am sure that you have come across in your research new cars are selling above the manufacturer's suggested retail price because of the unprecedented new car shortage in America. Used car prices are higher than normal because of hyper inflation in the market. You are seeing this from gasoline, to groceries, to utilities, to food. I even offered a car that would get you to your payment goal and you refused it because it didn't have leather, a sunroof and other options that you wanted. We did everything we could to take care of you while you were here. Your review is unfair to Jeremy as he went out of his way to give you good customer service. I am sorry that we could not accomplish what you wanted during your visit. It was mathmatically impossible. Read Jeremy's reviews on dealerrater.com or google. He cares deeply for his customers. I hope you will reconsider your review as it is something that will cause damage not only to Jeremy's reputation but also his ability to help customers in the future. Thank you for your time. My mother took her car in today for a recall. They called her back to tell her that they could not get her car computer to talk to their diagnostic computer. They said they would have to find out why and that it would be $138. Since she is older and did not know better she said ok. Well the tech took one of the fuses out and found a loose wire. So needless to say for a recall that should have cost her nothing cost her $138 due to a loose wire. If they are hurting for money that bad I would definitely stay clear a loose wire $138 just think how much a major repair would be. Also the lady we dealt with was very rude. read more

Parkside Kia is the way to go! I had a recall and a defect in the seat of my Sedona. All employees were courteous and helpful with the entire process. The facility is neat and clean and they have a great waiting area with drinks, seats, snacks and even charging stations for your phone. We have really enjoyed our van and it makes us even more confident in our purchase when we know a top team like Parkside Kia is there to support us when we need them! read more
