Summit justified the high cost bc each tooth was a 4 surface level cavity. Fast forward 5 months later - we discovered one cavity wasn't filled properly. It had to be completely removed and redone by another dentist because there was decay still left behind. Not only that, but the repair was a 2 surface repair. How does a cavity go from 4 surface level to 2 surface level? Hmm .. Our new dentist told me he has never heard of a 4 surface level cavity in his 30 years and removed and correctly filled the tooth for less than $200 - which is a typical cash pay price we learned. We asked summit for a refund for the 1 cavity (fair considering our child didn't feel comfortable going back) and they refused and stopped responding completely. Very disappointed that they would take advantage like this. If you're going to charge double the norm and inflate the severity of the cavity - at least fill it properly.

I had been fitted with a temporary "flipper" for four months while the bone healed, but it had become uncomfortable to eat with, so as I was in Texas, I made an appointment with Dr. Crumpton to have it adjusted. On the way there, I took a phone call, the flipper became loose so I set it on my car dashboard, and--disaster!--it took a joy ride down into the air vent, never to be seen again without dismantling the whole dashboard of my car. Dr. Crumpton's staff were wonderfully kind and patient, his dental assistant even coming outside to help me look for it. Even though this implant procedure was not being done by them, Dr. Crumpton immediately stepped in to help. Knowing I was leaving for London the following week and couldn't possibly go with a front tooth missing, he arranged to get me fitted the very next day, at a very reasonable price, and without ever making me feel foolish for what had happened. Thanks to their professionalism, kindness, and generosity, my new temporary tooth will be ready next week--just in time for my flight. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Crumpton and his team--they are not only highly professional but also compassionate and caring and did not try to gauge me on the price.
