I needed to have some pants hemmed and I found that this cleaner was right around the corner from where my mother lived. Went in on a Friday morning and they told me the pants would be ready by Tuesday and left them to be taken care of. Prices were super reasonable in comparison to other cleaners. I have gone to have pants hemmed or adjusted. I have never had anything dry cleaned here but judging by the clientele and the line, I have a feeling they do an expert job for a reasonable amount of money. I will definitely come back next time. I need pants altered and them in the area because of the excellent job they did in such a short period of time. I highly recommend it. read more

I was gifted a beautiful solid white mink large area rug. I went to Parkway to have it cleaned. The results are phenomenal. The price was reasonable and they were flexible with my financing arrangement which really helped. It is so clean, no one wants to walk on it. Keith almost never takes time off and his dealings with customers are a pleasure. This tidy, well-maintained business is easily accessed from the Beltway or Northern Parkway. I've been using Parkway Cleaners for 10 years, Keith and Felicia are the nicest people in the world, they bend over backwards to make sure you get your stuff cleaned and pressed right, and will move mountains to get it for when you want it. You come in at 6.00pm and need it by tomorrow, they have it by tomorrow, got a bad stain, pizza sauce, wine splashes, no problem they get them out. and if it didn't come out, they will redo it with out any hesitation. In 10 years other than one time, I don't think they ever lost anything and when they didn't have the three shirts, I brought in, Keith immediately asked me how much I paid for them and wanted to reimburse me. (they were so old and I had probably had them cleaned more times than they cost me I didn't want to take the money, they next three times my wife brought laundry in he wouldn't charge her.) read more

I took my daughter's 2 dresses for her upcoming event to this cleaners because I saw the "good" reviews online and it was in the area. The purpose was to have one dress (green) let out because a little snug on her, the other dress(purple) was to be taken in because it was a little big, fit loose on her in the back , in the waist and the straps adjusted because it keeps falling down on the right shoulder and makes the front top of the dress hang down. They both were also to be dry cleaned. I picked up both dresses today 4/27/24, she tried on both dresses before we left, the green fit perfect, yes the alterations was done on that dress correctly but when she tried on the purple dress, it looked and fit way differently then when we brought it in for alterations on 4/13/24. It fit more loose than before. The owner was there while she was trying on the dress and saw that the straps on the purple dress were still falling down, came over to help with lacing up the dress in the back and noticed the straps needed to be adjusted and could be done by the seamstress. My daughter went to take off the dress, as I was sitting out there waiting, the owner's mother came in and then he ask her to adjult the straps no additional charge. He told me to come back at 1-2pm today. I returned at around 3pm. The dresses were already bagged up. I wanted my daughter to try both the dresses on again before we left. He assured me that everything was good with both dresses and I didn't need to take them out the bag, basically rushing me out the store. Got the dresses home, had my daughter try on the dresses, again the green dress fit fine but the purple dress nothing was done. The straps still falling off her shoulders, the waist not taken, back fitting more loose than before. I paid $175 for nothing to be done to one of the dresses and I know it doesn't cost $175 for 2 dresses to be dry cleaned and 2 dress to be altered but only one was actually altered correctly. If the seamstress didn't know how to make adjustments to the purple dress then I should've be notified, my phone number was provided at time of submitting in my items, instead of taking my money and not doing anything to it. Also, the solution that was used to clean the purple dress, changed the appearance, shape and luster of the dress. If the owner and seamstress would have read the tag on the purple dress they would've seen that this is a bridal dress. So if they didn't know how to clean it or alter it , I still should've been notified and referred me to a bridal shop or let me take it to one that would know how to care for this dress. The owner is wrong for saying he or his mother could fix the straps and turn around and not do anything. Oh yeah he did do something, he took my money. Poor Horrible Service. He's been in business for 38 years and should know better. The owner needs to correct this issue by giving me part of my money back or I will be contacting BBB and States Attorney/Consumer Protection. Never Using Parkway Cleaning services again!, read more

I cannot speak highly enough of the friendly staff attitude, and the expert alteration services at Parkway. I have previously had special occasion dresses altered there to give a custom fit. I was dismayed to learn that seamstress Marina had retired when I recently took in a lovely garment I had ordered online. This dress needed a radical reworking of the upper section if I were to be able to wear it. I was delighted to find that Mariela is every bit as accomplished as Marina! Mariela was able to unpick and adjust the lace bodice of the dress, a complex alteration, so it fits me like a glove. Moreover, the changes she made are a stylistic improvement on the original design, and my off-the-rack cocktail dress is now one of a kind. I look forward to wearing the dress. Brava, Mariela! I have never been more insulted then when visiting this cleaning. The black lady is loud unprofessional and disrespectful. She told me they service Jewish people not too many my people. They don't get my type of clothes. But apparently they do because they gave me someelse's clothes that looks like mine. She refused to believe they made an error.
