Don't walk, RUN from this dental office! I now see why they are rated "F" by the BBB. In 2014, Parkway Dental provided dental services to my family. Before services were rendered, we asked if their office accepted Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) dental insurance. We provided our insurance card for verification. Their office's insurance person told us that they were a covered provider of BCBS. We further asked for a detailed quote for services. We were provided an amount which represented the amount we would owe after insurance coverage (out of pocket) and we agreed to pay that amount. After the claims were processed, only then did we learn that Parkway Dental was NOT a covered provider as represented by their office. As such, coverage was denied. We also learned from BCBS, as they keep detailed records, that Parkway Dental did not contact BCBS prior to services being rendered, as we had requested, to obtain and confirm coverage information. BCBS's records show that only after the claims were denied that their office called. Therefore, the quote they provided was bogus. Had Parkway Dental properly informed us that they were not a covered provider and had given us an accurate, good-faith estimate of the costs, we would NOT have had the services performed and sought a covered provider. We contacted Parkway Dental immediately when we received the bill and disputed the amount. They claimed no responsibility and stated that even though they called on our behalf, we (not them) should have called the insurance company and we (not them) should have obtained our own insurance quote for their services. I am not clear how they expected us to obtain an accurate quote for their services without asking them for it. Parkway Dental was negligent, at best, to state they were a covered provider of BCBS. Furthermore, they were negligent for providing a false, bad-faith quote. This office should be held responsible for their actions. Clearly, their office incentivizes their employees to be lazy and/or negligent by creating an environment where their office does not have to properly check (only 'say' they checked) coverage because they can deny responsibility by strong-arming the customer into paying by hiring a collections agency. read more

This review is well overdue. This dentist office is as good as it gets! The staff, oh my gosh, is superb! From the front desk to the hygienist to the brilliant Dentist, on staff, each person goes out of their way to make you feel special. When I walk in I feel like a superstar! I am greeted with a smile and my needs are attended to in a timely manner. They are focused on your well-being and are professional and kind. I have been a patient for over 10 years and if they move, I am moving with them! My children are also patients and not once have they complained about going to the dentist. After a visit you would have thought they were coming from Six Flags or something ,they were so content! I never had to make them go to the dentist. When I first walked into the office over 10 years ago, it was after a work accident. It was my first visit and it was around the 4th of July. I had been turned away by numerous Dentist, who were more concerned about getting home for the holidays, even though I had insurance. I was in pain, my mouth was swollen and I was in tears. Do you think that stopped DMD's Patel and Vakharia, nope! I was welcomed in, treated and was told to call day or night if anything worsened and was given an appt to come back the following week. This happened on a Thursday and they were closed until Monday . They followed up with me before the appt. to make sure I was comfortable. They are still taking care of me and my family to this day. I will never forget their wonderful customer service, throughout my ordeal, I am truly grateful that they stopped and took the time to listen and help. I work in the customer service and have never seen anyone approach customer service the way that they do. Always professional, friendly, caring and kind, but most of all consistent, they treat you like family. They are a blessing to the community. Thank you Parkway Dental. You are appreciated! I have only positive things to share regarding this Dentist. I have been visiting Parkway Dental for over four years, and in my experience/visits, it is always heartwarming, educational, perfect, and I never have any complaints. Upon arrival, I don't think I've ever stayed within their waiting room for over 10 minutes. They stay true to their appointments, you don't find many offices that do this. I know if I book an appointment for 2:00 PM, I will be seen in less than 10 minutes, versus waiting long periods of time As for the staff, I'm convinced that they are the best personnel within the state of Georgia. Probably the best personnel I know that I've ever had as a Dentist. They're all very friendly, go out their way to make sure that you understand exactly what procedure you're getting done, and also go out their way to make sure that you are comfortable throughout your appointment. You can definitely tell that this dentist office is almost like a family away from their own family, but the way they treat their patients is impeccable. I have never been a fan of going to the Dentist office, I'm completely unsure of who is, but I can definitely say that I don't cringe when I need to go to one of their appointments. I was experiencing severe mouth pain due to an infected tooth. I was turned away by another "popular" dental group because they were too busy to handle my emergency. I searched for another reputable dental office that could handle my emergency and was led to Parkway Dental. At first search the building was clean in appearance and the web site was well maintained and informative. I decided to give them a call. I was greeted by a very professional and informative receptionist who collected all the important information needed to assess my situation. I was told to come right into the facility, upon my arrival I filled out the necessary forms (only 1 front and back and 2 additional) and was whisked in to back. The facility was indeed clean, and modern and I felt comforted by the staff. The dentist that took on this emergency was Dr. Vahkaria (I hope I spelled it correctly). Talk about Professional- not only did I feel at ease, Dr. Vahkaria never once chastised me for my situation. I had my infected tooth extracted and was prescribed meds for the after care. The staff made sure that I had everything that I needed before I left. Dr. Vahkaria even texted me personally the very next evening to make sure I was well on track to recovering. I am not only thankful for the staff of Parkway Dental, I am impressed and I immediately shared my testimony among friends and family. My sister will be scheduling an appointment soon. The Dentist is one of my biggest fears. Like a lot of people who fear the Dentist I put it off until I couldn't any longer. From the moment I walked in (my wife gave them a heads up of my "discomfort") I was made to feel comfortable. Dr. Patel and Dr. V both constantly tried to insure me that it was going to be okay. Morning of having to have two wisdom teeth taken out and a couple cavities I was pretty nervous. The excellent and very nice desk staff was a pleasure to talk to and they helped me with a sedative. Dr. Patel came in and got me so numb I don't know how he did it. Some drilling, some water splashing, and some words of encouragement took place and before I knew it Dr. Patel held up my wisdom teeth and said "two in my fingers, and not in your mouth". I didn't feel a thing...nothing. Post procedure was a breeze with a couple of well placed stitches and some instructions on care. I was also shocked that they reached out personally to see how I was doing. This is a long story and if you are still here just know if you choose to go with the best then you must be going to Parkway Dental! Hello Everyone, I founded Parkway dental by merely thumbing through my phone for dentists in my area.I can't say enough about this group! Dr. Amit Patel is simply sensational! I was in severe pain my very 1st visit there, they didn't even know me, and they treated me as if I was a faithful patient that they see all the time(Lol). Dr. Patel rearranged his schedule that day to take care of my emergent situation. I can not say enough about how wonderful Dr Patel & his staff have been, especially Cindy. I went in thinking my only option was to have my teeth removed & get dentures but Dr Patel saved my teeth & changed my life. They are perfectionists & take amazing care of you. First off I would like to say thanks to doctor Patel and his team for doing an awesome job on my root canals. I have been terrified of the dentist for many years due to a bad experience, but doctor Patel has changed that for me and I am very appreciative of everything he and his team has done for me. He constantly asked if I was ok and made sure I was not feeling any pain. The work he did is phenomenal!!! I can't thank him enough. I live 30 miles away from Parkway Dental office but that doesn't stop me from returning. Scheduling an appointment is a breeze with a very communicable receptionist team ensuring. I was recommended to this dentist by a friend. I am so glad I found Dr. V. I was told by a previous dentist office that I would need to have two teeth pulled. Dr. V. Was able to save both. I have been back several times and they always remember who I am. They have won me over. I have also never meet a dentist who could give a great shot in the gums ( but Dr. V seems to be able to do it with out pain). I also want to praise them for always texting me the next day to see how I feel after they work performed the day before. Not to mention the dental assistants and the front office ladies.
