The ambiance was nice, calm for it being the morning but the staff was still friendly and ready for us. We all enjoyed our teas and coffees as well as the donuts we tried. This doughnut shop was within walking distance of our hotel while we were visiting Nashville for a concert, and I am so glad we gave it a try! There was a line literally out the door of this place once we arrived and we could only assume it was for good reason. There were only about two people working in the shop who were very nice and bubbly despite the shop being so busy. They made sure to tell us they were happy to make any doughnut up fresh for us if we didn't see any in the case, which was great. We got three doughnuts and two iced caramel lattes. The donuts were delicious, flaky, sweet and croissant-like! Unlike any other donuts I've had before. I really liked how they had so many different types and how filling but not heavy the pastries were! Our coffees left a little to be desired however, they looked yummy but tasted pretty bitter in my opinion and didn't compliment the lovely donuts well at all. I would absolutely give this place 5 stars but I do wish it had better space for seating inside the parlor, as there were only about 2 small tables in there that were uncomfortable to sit in if there was a line. There was also no space to really sit comfortably outside either which was a bummer! I would definitely return here and recommend it to anyone in Nashville however, a great spot to pick up a quick breakfast or sweet treat :) read more

We stayed across the street from Parlor Doughnuts on a trip to Nashville. Easy walk across the street so we decided to check it out. Doughnuts were awesome - we tried the blueberry and a maple pecan. Both were very tasty and the size was (for us) more than enough to eat half and save some for later. The donuts, wow! These are donuts unlike i have ever had. They are part raised donut, part croissant in texture. They are lightly sugared and then each has a different flavor glaze and toppings. My worst experience while visiting Nashville. I really wanted to like this donut shop based on the positive reviews I read on Yelp, unfortunately the negative reviews on Google are spot on. I arrived at 1:30 pm and they only had one donut in stock (they must be good if that's the case I guess). There was one man working and no customers present. A little disappointed, I decided to order a cold brew since I was there already. The man behind the counter seemed like he hated his job. I asked a question and he made me feel dumb for asking. The cold brew wasn't good. I was so thrown off from this experience that I went somewhere else to get coffee right after. read more

Came here a week and a half ago and had an awful experience. I ordered a honey cinnamon cold brew (amongst other coffees for my friends). When I got it, it appeared to have milk. When I asked the girl she confirmed, I apologized explaining I can't have regular milk (awful lactose intolerance) and asked if can please have it without. The menu doesn't say it has milk. She made me a new cold brew without regular milk, then proceeded to charge me again another $5.74. I asked if I had to pay since I did not even touch the original one. She said yes, and continued that it's actually my fault I didn't tell her I can't have milk. 1) Menu doesn't say it has milk and 2) I have never once ordered a cold brew coffee that came with milk without notice. Some of the most awful customer service I have ever encountered, I wound up paying to not cause more of a scene. Three coffees cost me $22.75 (plus the tip I left her before she blamed me for the milk). Management should consider training employees on basic customer service skills and updating the menu to note that the cold brew comes with milk. 0/10 experience. read more

What's a donut shop with no donuts? The hours in this place say 7am to 3p however when i walked in here at 9 am you would think it's closing hour .... located in the middle of downtown surrounded by hotels and bars on a Friday morning good luck at this place... i walked in they had 2 donuts not two flavors but 1...2... despite advertising all the flavors on the website and in store .... when i got to the register the cashier asked me would i like any donuts as if i did i would be able to get any she explained these were all they had i said ok well can i order some and pick them up later she said no he's icing some it should be 30 mins i asked what flavors would be coming out she didn't know .... i didn't want to take the 20 min walk back to my hotel empty handed so i get back in the line of people and he proceeds to bring out about 60 donuts bc the line is already long i am able to order 1 but the other flavors i wanted never made an appearance i dine in an eat my single donut with none to take back watching the case go empty again i wait around about an hour surely there's more to come it's only 11 am on a Friday morning they close at 3 at about 1115 i ask the baker will he be bringing anymore donuts or flavors out he says no as in for the rest of the day i spot a tray of plain UNiced donuts i ask could i buy a cpl of those maybe with just cinnamon sugar or whatever they put on before the glaze he says no we don't sell plain even though i can see them.... needless to say this place was a must visit for my Nashville trip but i will not be back nor recommend read more
