Love the fun vibrancy of this convenient shop in the Gulch. Warm bagels and cool cream cheese. I'm a big fan of their concept of "rip and dip." No toasting needed. Too hard to resist! (Though I do toast the leftovers at home) There is a line on the weekends but it moves quickly. Bagels are sold at a minimum of 3 per order, and in multiples of 3 FYI.

I got here at 8 AM, and there was no line! PopUp Bagels is a rip & dip bagel shop, and I think it's a really different experience. Interior: I love the decor of this shop. When I stepped in, I got a beautiful whiff of bagels baking. The shop is more quick-pickup-centric, although they do have some limited outdoor seating. I could also see the PopUp Bagels team working with the bagels, which is pretty cool. Service: The pop-up bagel team was so warm and energetic, and their service was super fast. I literally didn't even wait before I received a bag of schmear and another bag of HOT bagels! Bite: I got the Everything Bagel and caramelized scallion butter. The bagel was extremely hot and fresh. Unlike traditional deli bagels, these weren't dense, and they were crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside. The bagels were smaller in size but really delicious. PopUp Bagels is known for some of its iconic schmears, and the scallion butter slapped. It was so, so good and very generous in quantity. I loved my experience at PopUp Bagels, and I can't wait for their future schmear lineups!

Have been so excited for pop bagels to open in Nashville having frequented the many New York locations. I am a huge fan of their salt bagels and rotating varieties of schmear's. The current pesto butter is a must try. You can order online for pick up, but only by the dozen. However, I went midday on Sunday and there was a very short and quick line. I was able to conveniently park in the garage next-door (first hour free). The staff were very friendly and explained the process to those who haven't been before while in line. Once you order, there is an area to wait although the store itself is smaller and it can get a little cramped. Six bagels and a schmear is $24. Took less than 10 minutes to get my order.

Honestly, the bagels were great overall and the staff was friendly and greeted us when we enetered. My wife and I ordered a salt bagel and a plain bagel with a plain schemar. The schemars were interesting, and I really like the rotating flavor concept they use for them. The only thing I do wish is that they offered a few more flavors of bagels. That said, I understand the idea behind focusing on a smaller selection and doing those really well rather than offering a lot of options that might not be as consistent.

Came by recently with a friend and was surprised there was no line! We went on a weekday around 1:30pm. The employees were so kind and explained the menu items and options to us. The interior is pretty small, but there's a couple high top tables outside to eat at. We got the plain bagels with the vodka sauce schmear and it was delicious! Bagels were warm and the schmear flavors are so creative. The minimum number of bagels you can get though is 3 (for $15 with schmear included). I definitely didn't want 3 but spent the money anyways to try the bagels. Overall: cool bagel spot in the Gulch with great service but beware of limited seating on a busy day and must buy 3 bagels!!

The salt bagel is the best one. It has the crispiest exterior. The other flavored bagels are softer on the outside, not as crispy. With the salt bagel, you can actually enjoy the craftsmanship and quality of this bagel in its simplest form. It's worth it to try it out. If you're a bagel lover you might keep coming out to this place. If you're not a bagel lover, you should come just to try it out once or twice. I tried both the vodka and scallion schmear. The vodka was slightly pink with a subtle vodka flavor while the scallion was more oniony and fresh. I really liked the pairing of the salt bagel with the scallion schmear. Parking is paid either on the street for $2/hour or in the lot across the street from the shop. Inside there's only 2 small high top round tables with two stools. Outside there's more seating with around 3-4 tables with 2-3 stools each. There's also more seating across the street in an open grass area with benches and tables by a water wall. I enjoyed the experience of trying this place. I would maybe come again if I was really craving a good bagel itself.

Went to popup bagel today because the hype in NashVegas has officially reached cult levels. It's conveniently located right next to my dentist, which feels intentional. Like a coordinated attack. I'm not sure Dr. Scott and his staff signed up to dig sesame seeds out of grown adults' teeth all afternoon, but here we are. Truly a cursed pairing. Let's get this out of the way: the bagels themselves are stupid good. Like "I'm mad about it" good. Plain, salt, everything, all FANTASTIC. Chewy, hot, emotionally supportive bagels. America usually fumbles once a place expands, but somehow these still slap. Now, the schmears. Perplexing? The vodka schmear? Solid 8/10, no notes. The caramelized scallion butter was a 4/10 and sat in my stomach like a regret I can't take back. Way too heavy. I felt it judging me from the inside. Legit walked home to burn some of it, kinda bad. They hand you a whole ass bagel and a tub of schmear and say "good luck." No slicing. No spreading. Just vibes. I guess in 2026 we're all expected to be self sufficient pioneers with forearm strength and life skills, or independent contractors, please hand me 1099 with the bagels. The shop vibe is cool but nothing life changing. HOWEVER. $50 for a dozen bagels is criminal behavior. The last dozen I bought in Soho up in NYC was $29. I understand Nashville inflation is its own beast, but relax. I bought bread, not a Nashville timeshare. All that said, I'd go back. Bagels were elite. Just please, for the love of God, slice them.

Brand New Shop! Been waiting for this place to open! Pop Up Bagels in Nashville absolutely lives up to the hype. The bagels are perfectly crisp on the outside and soft, warm, and chewy on the inside. Exactly how a true bagel should be. You can tell they are made fresh, and the quality really stands out from anything else in town. The flavored cream cheeses are just as impressive. Everything pairs perfectly, and the simple menu keeps the focus on doing one thing extremely well. Service was quick and efficient, even with a line, and the whole experience felt smooth and organized. If you are looking for the best fresh bagels in Nashville, Pop Up Bagels is it. Easily one of the top new breakfast spots in the city. Highly recommend.

Went here while walking around town. The bagels are warm and fresh. So good! I wish there was one in mn. The service was friendly and quick and the shop was cute and tidy.

OMG. So happy to have this place here. uts just as good as other locations. I got the everything bagel with a vodka schmear cream cheese and it was so good. Very quick service too.

These fresh bagel are delicious! However, a few things to note to explain 4 stars instead of 5. First, as a Nashville native, I avoid the Gulch like the plague. There is street parking across the street for $2 an hour, which is pretty good for this area. There is no seating inside, and only 2 of 3 small tables outside. Luckily, if you walk a little further, there's a public green space with a few tables. Also, there's a 3 bagel minimum, so you can't just stop by and grab one bagel. You also only get one schmear included with your 3 bagels, but can add on another for $8. My friend only wanted plain cream cheese, but I had to try their special pesto butter. It was worth it! Overall though I do think it's a bit overpriced and I don't like the 3 bagel minimum. But also, it's definitely worn trying at least once because the bagels are so fresh!

    Cake batter schmear
    Andrea R.

Worth the hype! I've never had PopUp Bagels until stopping by the Gulch location this afternoon, and I will definitely be back. Walking in, we were greeted at the doorway by an employee (possibly the owner or manager), who was friendly and personable when welcoming us, telling us about the NJ-native founder speaking on the Food Czar podcast. Inside, there were two cashiers taking orders, which made for a quick checkout process. We ordered 3 bagels (2 everything, 1 salt) and schmear (cake batter weekly flavor), which cost $15 before tax and tip. 3 bagels is the minimum order, but having tried them, it's well worth it (and I see why people order more)! The schmear was handed to us at the register, then the bagels came out hot and fresh in a handled paper bag not long after. The ordering experience was very efficient - just long enough to get a glimpse of the trendy interior ("not famous but known" quote, "bagel bouncer" director chair, a collage wall of PopUp Bagels' fans' pictures, etc.). We visited after 1pm and were in and out of the shop in under 10 minutes; even still, the patio seating area was full of previous customers! The lines can get long here, especially on a weekend morning, given the touristy area. However, the straightforward menu (bagels, schmears, and bottled drinks if desired) is effective for serving many guests promptly. The bagels might have been the best I've ever had - pillowy soft and hot on the inside and perfect for the "grip, rip, and dip" method the company is known for. Their weekly rotation of different butters and schmear options are enticing, and I enjoyed the cake batter this time around. The one schmear served with 3 bagels was plenty for sharing (even some leftover). I've had FOMO since missing the Nashville grand opening a month and a half ago, with bagels, live music, and swag. I'm happy I finally got to try this location while it's still pretty new, and I'll surely be back!

I've heard so many great things about this place that I had to stop in and check it out (spoiler: it's totally worth the hype!) I will say that there is a bit of a line, but it moves pretty fast. Also the waiting area/storefront itself is pretty small so you'll probably be waiting outside. Once you order, your food is ready in maybe 5-10 minutes. Staff is super friendly (I got to speak with someone who was talking with customers while they waited and she was so kind and helpful). I ended up ordering a 3 pack (3 bagels and a schmear) to split with my girlfriend. The bagels were very soft and had great flavor (I'm from NJ and am a bit of a bagel snob but these really do deliver). What you're supposed to do is rip the bagels and dip them in the schmear and honestly, we had plenty left over. I'd definitely recommend the everything and salt bagels as well as their new Cake Batter schmear (sounds weird I know, but it's just the perfect level of sweetness/not too sweet at all). I ended up paying around $16 for everything which isn't too bad all things considered. Definitely will be stopping back soon for more bagels and schmear!

I think the main things for me would be to simplify the menu and offer size options. Something like half a bagel or like a "classics variety" (like a variety cheesecake). So you could pick and choose quarters or maybe thirds. I was happy to see they had savory cream cheese options because they are so underrated. I also got their honey lavender lemonade which was fire and not too sweet. The staff were all great and it is clearly a pretty popular spot. Overall no issues and I will probably go again.

You can normally find a parking spot in the lot or if you know someone in the neighborhood, walking is an option too. Walk in and order at the counter. Be sure to check the available bagels that day AND any specials, especially the cinnamon bun special. Every time I have been, the staff has been extremely helpful as you navigate the choices. (note - there is a separate window outside to pickup online orders, delivery orders etc. so that helps with inside congestion). There is almost always a line but it moves quickly. On my last visit, they had just completed the March Madness bracket and were featuring the Cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese- $1. As I said, always check the special! They will feature some interesting coffees, bagels varieties and let's talk about the Cinnamon Roll. The first time I sampled the Cinnamon Roll special it was a blueberry pancake version, imagine an amazing cinnamon roll(yes, it's sweet but not overly and has great flavor), with blueberries and cream on top! The only downside is they are very large, but that means you get one to share with your people. Their bagels are really good! You can eat them plain or get some spread for them. (note that bulk bagel orders are not sliced). They also have breakfast sandwiches. To top it off, this has the feel of a real neighborhood spot. Plenty of folks greeting each other, friends connecting, families gathering. Indoor seating with books for the wee folks and some outdoor tables too. I understand they have another location but this is original CHBCO. Definitely worth checking it out!

We also believed it would come out in order so we were called forward shortly after the people who were in front of us checked out. The ambiance is decent, the restaurant is cluttered and the ordering system is poor. The outside of the restaurant has two different signs and entrances/exits. I heard multiple people in line confused about this choice as well. My suggestion to ownership would be to make one entrance an exit only to avoid new customer confusion and streamline the ordering process. The bagel I received was tasty, but fell extremely flat because it was plain on the inside. Again, I received the wrong order so it wasn't at all what I was expecting. I would like to give this place another try and hopefully I receive someone else to take our order.
