Time: Friday at 8:00pm Meals: -Dulce de leches waffle -Hot tea Pros: -Fresh ingredients made in front of you. -Quick service. -Friendly staff -Very tasty. The waffle was not overly crunchy or too soft. -Toppings were abundant without being too much. -Delicious caramel sauce! -Decently priced waffles. $8 for the waffle and $3 for tea. Cons: -Can be really busy depending on time and day. -Downtown Nashville will require being around drunks. -Inside Assembly Food Hall so lots of people at times. -Might not have lots of seating depending on the time.

OBSESSED with these waffles!!! The Straw-Nella is the perfect sweet treat. They're located inside of the food hall with plenty of seating and there's shopping in the same plaza with bars nearby. It makes the perfect Saturday/Sunday brunch stop before activities

Holy moly!!! We got a plain waffle and. Strawberry with Nutella waffle and both were fabulous. You really can just do plain. It melts in your house. How is this even possible?!? Quick service a little pricey but great atmosphere for an assembly hall.

I was expecting a soft yet crunchy grilled waffle. Instead it was rewarmed and hard. Although I could taste the potential in the batter, I was disappointed that the waffle was not freshly made and you could tell with every bite. I ordered a plain classic waffle and a sprinkled topping one, both were about the same and not soft.

This is not something I would typically buy, but we had a late night concert at the Ryman and I needed hot tea and a snack. The waffle was surprisingly delicious. It had caramel and cinnamon, with bananas and whipped cream. The waffle was soft and chewy, perfect for sharing without feeling overly heavy or too large for one. I could never finish one myself and would not get this often, but if I'm wanting something sweet this is it! The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience different from the usual in the shops. Seating is open seating wherever you can find. It can get busy on concert days and weekends.

The best food I've had in Nashville thus far. I kid you not. Get the hot chicken waffle sandwich. It blew my mind. The waffle is so buttery and sweet. A little bit of Alice and syrup to contrast with the hot chicken underneath. Wasn't super hot but it was tasty and flavorful. Best meal yet! They got it to me super fast

Overall 4/5: Yummy food, very awkward service. Food 5/5: My boyfriend and i shared a strawnella waffle which was not too sweet and the perfect amount of crispy for a dessert waffle. The toppings were ample for the price! Service 4/5: It was okay, did take quite awhile. And interacting with the person at the counter was weird. They were awkward and we had to initiate conversation and guide it the entire time. They were hardly acknowledging us while we ordered, so we just weren't sure if they were hearing us. Even though they were standing right in front of us at the order screen. Thank you, The Leige.

Don't waste your money. The s'mores waffle was not good at all. Doesn't come out hot, nothing you can't make at home. We actually took a few bites and tossed it.

I was really pleased with the banchurro leche! Delicious and very satisfying to my sweet tooth craving! I would recommend this if you like churros for sure! Definitely is a must try in Nashville!

A bit out of the way from the general path most people walk around the food hall, I ran into The Liege Waffle. There wasn't anyone in line so I expected the wait to be pretty short after ordering. After about 15 minutes of waiting we went back to the counter and asked where the food was. They said it was taking a while for the chicken but we told them that the waffle we ordered didn't have chicken, so it turns out they had actually lost our order. I can imagine this happening on a busy day, but the day we were there was quite empty that I don't understand how they could lose it. I think one of the workers was pretty new because he didn't know how to make the banchurro waffle and needed to get help from someone else.

The chicken and waffles was good. It was hearty and hot. Good flavor, but the breading on the original chicken wasn't my favorite. Overall, pretty good.

This place is creative as hell and has made this Foodie get excited. Try the Monte Cristo... it's a must! The owner is a transplant from Chicago named Tristan. He goes the extra mile in formulation and presentation.

The waffles had just the right amount of sweetness in the batter. We tried fresh fruit with whip cream. They were delicious.

Chicken was really good crispy not greasy or dry. Just took a long time. Place seems short staffed.

The space is located on the 2nd floor of the plaza and is big enough where it has a cafe-vibe. It seemed that this a good place for the nearby Vanderbilt students to come hang out/study at. I got the Kesar Pista which is saffron and pistachio. Really unique flavor that I haven't had together and it was really good. The saffron was very prominent which was great. The texture of the ice cream was nice and soft. I also really appreciated the small waffle cone piece they add on the side which was a little 'chip' I could use to dip into the ice cream. Small little detail but you don't see what the actual flavors are here unlike most other ice cream shops. They don't 'scoop' it right in front of you and so while ordering, you don't have a visual of what exactly the flavors are other than 'googling' it while waiting. Because of this, I wasn't sure if I was allowed to ask for samples etc. I assume it's some logistical reason as to why they can't show the flavors in the front, but in that case sampling flavors should be prompted/encouraged by the staff. I think it'd really help!

Likewise, we enjoyed his creations! Laid before us were several samples of items offered -- most being sugary-sweet desserts landing anywhere between your favorite kid cereal to cookies and chocolate sauce. Of course, if that was all too much...or you wanted ALL of it...they also offered a create-your-own. Not much was off limits when it came to piling toppings high on a freshly made waffle. Since I had not yet had dinner, I opted to order one of their savory waffles, the "Whip Di Parma" [local Tennessee honey whipped feta, spinach, prosciutto, Mike's Hot Honey]. It was tasty and very fresh, but ultimately too sweet for my liking. With how both rich and sweet the flavors were, I just couldn't finish eating it all. I was bummed I had spent $11.00 before tip for a dinner I couldn't finish...and still hungry. I love the concept of offering savory dishes on waffles along with the sweet. I think it needs a little more tweaking to land perfection. Maybe changing it up to a cornbread waffle with blue cheese or goat's milk cheese...?
