Pancake Sampler with an Apple Walnut, Banana Bread, and Blueberry pancakes.

Underwhelming. Luckily we arrived early and there was no wait or line. I'd say I almost felt I was doing a disservice by not warning the dozens of people waiting in line by the time we finished. Pancakes are average at best, slightly dry. Scrambled eggs, unfortunately also a bit dry, bacon was thin, chewy and did not pack much bacon flavor. The syrup seemed a bit watery for syrup. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but after having it I can't say that I'd ever return to find out if that's the case. The location is really convenient to a number of hotels, so that's a plus.

In Nashville for the Chris Stapleton concert and our Uber driver recommended Pancake Pantry, and since it was literally next door to our hotel, it felt like fate. We showed up early enough to beat a line around the block, and for a brief moment I thought we'd hacked Nashville. Then we asked our server for a little "insider" help narrowing down the menu... and got the kind of vibe that said, "How dare you not know our menu inside and out?!" Not rude-rude, just clearly annoyed that we had questions. Not the end of the world, but it set the tone. We landed on the breakfast sandwich on a croissant and the Grilled Cook's Medley (skillet situation with toast). The sandwich was a miss: the croissant tasted like it came straight out of a bag, and the whole thing was so bland and unexciting that we didn't even finish it. The skillet was slightly better, but still pretty plain...barely seasoned, and it had slices of cheese melted on top instead of shredded like you'd expect. We didn't finish that one either, which is saying something because I'm usually the "I'll eat it anyway" person. But hey, this is Pancake Pantry, so surely the pancakes would save the day, right? Unfortunately... no. Both pancakes came out lukewarm and not really light/fluffy like a great pancake should be. The sweet potato pancake was the better of the two and oddly was actually best without syrup. The cinnamon roll pancake had nice crispy edges (credit where it's due), but it came with a cinnamon syrup that was way too sweet considering there was already a sweet drizzle on top. It turned into sugar on sugar crime. I wanted to love it, especially with all the hype and the convenience factor, but this ended up feeling like a spot that survives on reputation and location. Maybe it was an off day, maybe we ordered wrong, maybe the pancake gods were busy... but based on this visit, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Five stars for service and location! Our waitress was so wonderful, friendly, and funny. She made the experience worth it! All the waitresses on the patio during Mother's Day breakfast were phenomenal, and I hope they get recognized by the management. The patio is decent - but it's very cramped. Nice shade though! The food came out quick and was decent but I wouldn't say five stars. My husband got the breakfast tacos, and they were flavorful. The other ding is the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. If you've never been here you'll walk up and wait in a line - once you get to the doors, you're seated immediately. Overall glad we finally got check this place out!

This spot was so yummy. Definitely get the pancakes! I ordered the old fashioned buttermilk and it was a great portion for the price. Lots of syrup options, including sugar free. Lots of different kinds of pancakes. We also got the sweet potato pancakes that were delicious. The biscuit was good but not as crumbly or buttery as I would have liked. The service was quick and kind. There is usually a line out the door but the line does move fast. Casual atmosphere. Wanted to go back to this place for their pancakes.

Food was flavorful and every bite definitely had the mouth watering. The four different flavors of mimosas was refreshing to the palate while serving the purpose of the early cocktail fix. I didn't sit inside so not sure of the vibe inside but the outside patio with the umbrella made it the right combination. The server (forgot her name sorry) was attentive and respectful.

Worth the hype. We came at 12:30 and walked right in. Waiter was attentive without being overly so. Daughter and I each ordered the sampler, fun way to try a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Most unique cake was the Santa Fe . Like eating cornbread with all the fixins. Yum! We both loved the banana bread cake, great real flavor, not overwhelming in any direction. My favorite was the pecan. Can't go wrong with a classic. But THE BEST THING was the basic side order of BACON! Perfectly crispy, salty, PERFECT. Well done, folks!

I absolutely loved this place! And by the line out the door you know it's very popular. We did not have to wait in line as long as we thought we would have and we were impressed with the swift service from seating, drinks, and food. Their menu offered wide variety from sweet to salty, and in my group there were zero complaints. They also offer gluten free options for those that need it. The merch was so cute and the place was clean. There was seating available inside and out.

This place had a delicious French toast! I'd probably go back just for that. I know it's focused on packages, but the French toast + the cinnamon syrup they have was amazing. My friend had the sweet potato pancakes and they were so fluffy and delicious. I expected amazing home fries, but they were just okay. Not too impressed with the turkey sausages or egg whites, but the nail everything else. We were seated very quickly and everyone working was very pleasant. The service is quick but they don't constantly bother you once you're settled in. That's a plus!

Nice breakfast spot near Broadway. There is plenty of seating indoors & outdoors. We enjoyed outdoor seating on an unseasonably warm Winter morning. Service was good. Our food came out quickly and tasted great. I went with the seasonal red velvet pancakes and a mimosa flight. The menu offers a wide variety of pancakes to choose from.

This restaurant is well worth the wait and was the best food that I had in Nashville during my day. My friend and I came on a Saturday morning and had to wait about 30 minutes on the line. The ambience was nice and simple. The food took a while to come out, but was well worth it because it was made with love. The French toast was fresh, and the peaches were made with fresh peaches instead of canned ones. The compote was not too sweet and well balanced. The turkey sausages were very tasty and the eggs were good. The hot chocolate was a bit sweet but well-made. All in all, I really enjoyed breakfast here and would bookmark this place to return during a future Nashville trip. Our server was friendly and helpful when ordering. The only critique that I have for this restaurant is that they need an air freshener in the bathroom, but otherwise it was a really great experience.

This place is a must visit for breakfast! You line up outside, but don't let it scare you, this place operates like a well oiled machine! You'll be surprised at how quickly you're seated. The pancakes are phenomenal. They bring warm syrup and cinnamon cream for the pancakes. It's the perfect combo. Everything was cooked to perfection. Great cold brew coffee. Can't wait to return!

Pancake sampler with blueberry, apple and Santa Fe Cornmeal
    Greg M.

Typically not a big fan of flapjacks, but I had to see why people felt compelled to wait outside in the 20 degree weather to get in this place. They opened at 6:00, and my hotel was right across the street, so I was outside when they unlocked the door (still, second in line). Ordered the pancake sampler and choose blueberry, apple walnut and and a cornmeal Mexican kind of thing. That cornmeal Mexican kind of thing came with a kick ass salsa and sour cream. The perfect savory to the other's sweetness. Got a side of scrambled eggs, too, and a coffee. The presentation was top notch. The taste, well, they tasted like pancakes. At least the two fruit ones did. And don't get me wrong, they were good, but they were pancakes. On the other hand, the cornmeal Mexican kind of thing was crazy good and unlike anything I've had before. Tasted more like corn bread, and it was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. The coffee was so-so. Glad I came in. Would be happy to return, but would never wait in a line.

Visiting the area, decided to check this place out for breakfast on a weekday since they have a gluten free pancake option. Food was average nothing to rave about. Gluten free pancakes were okay, I liked that the eggs were thin however could use some flavor they were a bit bland. When I walked in I noticed that the noise carries so I had to sit outside because it was too loud for me. Pretty long line the weekend. Maybe their regular pancakes are good ‍ otherwise I don't get the hype. The server was friendly.

He was busy but stayed engaged throughout our time there. My daughter ordered the Banana Bread Pancakes while I chose the Swedish Pancakes, then added the Candied Bacon to share. It all came out super-fast! The Banana Bread Pancakes were fluffy, flavorful and so yummy. My Swedish Pancakes were classically thin, slightly sweet and loaded with lingonberry. And that Candied Bacon -- OMG. That was so good! It's definitely pricey, but worth it (IMO). The Pancake Pantry team work amazingly well in the organized chaos.
