Bad Customer Service!!! I've been going to this place for quite some time now and every time I go, the customer service was great and every one was very helpful. Until today, one of the crew name Jade C. Was rolling her eyes and giving us attitude for the whole time my friends and I were there. After we ordered we tried to sit down while waiting for one of my friend finish up her order and she straight up yelled at us saying "We're actually close, and you can't sit here and eat" when we still have 30 mins till closing. I've always liked your doughnuts and always recommend it to everybody I know. Everyone I was with today came from out of state and was just trying to enjoy some of the doughnuts I always tell them about. Still love your doughnuts but I recommend to train all the newer employees to have better manners and act professional during their working hours. read more

First time visiting Parlor Doughnuts today. Even though we didn't arrive until 1130am, they still had a great selection of doughnuts available and my iced maple brown sugar latte was delicious! I had the maple bacon doughnut. Really good, but could use a bit more bacon on top with the maple frosting. I loved the atmosphere, staff were very friendly, and prices were great for the area. Donuts are delicious but both my experiences were disappointing due to not opening at 6:30am, their posted time of operation. My first visit arriving before 6:30, the shop was dark and doors locked until around 6:40. My second visit, I planned to get donuts for a birthday girls request and waited for 40 mins before having to leave. I saw one other potential customer come and go in disappointment. Will I be back? Just come back from Parlor donuts . At 5 o'clock .You can't even get the donut you want and they don't close until 630. All they have is five donut and don't know how long it's been sitting there even you can wait. They won't fly it. so don't bother even go there after certain time. read more

The one in virginia beach is amazing. This one is not good. I ordered the coconut creme. Out of 4, 1 had very little creme and the other 3 had none. They supposedly made 2 more for me but when I got home there was hardly any filling in those either. I am not paying that much for a donut and not getting my monies worth. I won't be back there. My wife and I stopped in for a quick coffee and donut, but the experience was anything but quick -- or pleasant. There were only a few customers, yet I waited over 20 minutes for my order (it took awhile for someone to acknowledge we were at the register, just staring at the guy making donuts to notice us). The store was clearly understaffed, and no one seemed in a hurry to help. When my coffee order finally came out, it was wrong. I politely mentioned it, and instead of just fixing it, the staff questioned me like I was in the wrong. Really? They did remake it, but without an apology or accepting the mistake with my order (simple iced vanilla latte and hot caramel latte, they accidentally switch it). Then after everyone that was there when we arrived had left, they nearly handed my one donut (Raspberry Pistachio) to someone else that just got there, even though my name was on the order. Just careless. This place needs more staff and a serious lesson in customer service. We won't be back to this location and I would not recommend it to anyone. Do better PB! read more

A new donut shop in the 3200 block of Virginia Beach Blvd. Definitely a notch above your usual donut joints. This emporium features donuts which are big, light, flaky, and awesome, very similar to a French croissant doughnut. Check out the menu with all the interesting combinations and flavors. Every one my family tried was a winner. We cut each donut into quarters so everyone could experience a taste - they were that big. My personal favorite was the coconut creamed. The young folks behind the counter were friendly and very helpful with their suggestions. I liked the looks of the interior when I walked in on the first visit. But I got the donuts to go, so I really can't speak to ambiance. These donuts aren't cheap. But you do get what you pay for. Strongly recommend you give Parlor a try. read more

This review will tell you how much I can't review about this business. I can only talk about the service, but not the food or the ambiance. And I've never been to this franchise before. Easter morning, our family places an online order for a dozen donuts. The credit card is charged and we receive an order confirmation number and a "ready" time of about twenty minutes. My son and I jump in the car and head for Parlor Doughnuts on Va Bch Blvd. We get there, and the place is closed. At 11:20am. Flabbergasted. Now I get it, it's Easter Sunday and many businesses keep that holiday sacred, as they should. However, why did their system even allow us to place an order if they were closed, much less send us a confirmation that the donuts would be ready in twenty minutes? Regretfully, that's not the worst part. We could not cancel the order and get our money back. The system will not allow you to do that. It would tell us to call the store to cancel, but then we're back to the whole closed-on-Easter caveat. (At this point, my son and I get donuts at Duck Donuts.) So we call our credit card company and ask to dispute the charges. Because it hasn't actually posted yet, the card company says they can't halt it YET. They suggest we call the store when they opened Monday morning. So, 6:50am the phone rings there. I explain the situation and the employee indicates only the manager can cancel orders. He's off the phone for a few minutes, only to come back to say the manager isn't responding to his calls. He did take my name & phone and suggested the manager would be contacting me "...some time today." Four hours later I try to call the company, and no one picks up the phone. I call the corporate office in Indiana. That lady indicated she would try to call the VB store and get things straightened out. Another hour or so later and I saw the refund on my credit card ledger from my bank. But no one from the store ever called me. I didn't want some lavish apology, and I didn't want to get some free stuff "for my trouble." I was hoping for a manager who recognized there was a flaw in their ordering system, and would make a phone call to me to say so. Good friends told us of great donuts here, but they spent the better part of two hours to actually get their ordered donuts. We ordered because my son wanted to try the donuts here. I'm not saying don't buy from Parlor Doughnuts. My review can't address the food or the store interior. But from a service perspective, I can't bring myself to go back if the local store doesn't want to improve a potential customer's experience when things go bad. Please PD, explain what happened and promise to strive to correct the problem. read more

Staff was very kind. Although I think there are some communication issues that could be addressed with having a weekend manager. As someone who has celiac I'm always happy to see local allergy friendly places. I ordered a gluten free donut, along with a bacon egg and cheese gluten free sandwich. Price point was good- 14$ and that includes my juice. Waited 20 minutes for my donut (my sister and nephew had finished theirs before my donut even came out) I was told it had to be made fresh. Okay fine no problem. The first thing that bothered me was the fact they put a heavily iced crumbly donut in a bag and not one of their boxes... why? It was so hard to eat. Waited another 20 minutes for my sandwich. My sister went to check on it. She was told they didn't have record of me ordering it (I saw the kid who rang me in add it to my order) they offered to refund my order and make it for free. Sat there and waited in sight for another 15 minutes and at that point left without the refund or the sandwich. Don't get my wrong it's a cute place and the donut was good. They have a good variety of flavors here. I loved all of them. The donuts are pretty large. I ordered a few dozen for an event. Everyone loved them. This is now a go to spot for when I'm in the area. read more

At least ten tables in an unsanitary state of squalor without being bussed. Finally, the men's had feces and toilet paper all over the floor, splashed water on the counter top near the sink, and a loiterer appeared panhandling. This was the first time I ever had been to a Parlor Doughnuts, and I will say I was impressed. A 4-pack of donuts is around the price of $15. That is incredible for the sizes and quality of the donuts. The service was great. Everyone was super friendly and answered any questions I had. I also tried the iced coconut latte, and wow, that is one of the best lattes I've ever had. The flavor of their espresso is just so comforting and was exactly what my tastebuds needed. Also can't forget to mention the adorable set up they have. There is a good amount of seating and the decor is so cute. Overall, I would definitely recommend, and I will be coming back. read more

i am usually happy when going to parlor donuts cause there donuts are amazing, but today they didn't do very good. they only had three workers, and I couldn't get coffee cause there barista she was working over time, and the other three workers either didn't want to make it cause they said they were to busy but they only had 8-9 customers. it also has a very nice look to it. AND I couldn't get my Bourbon Carmel donut cause they couldn't do any thing with chocolate glaze cause they ran out! read more
