The property is beautiful, kid friendly and the wine is good. They need to invest in some new patio umbrellas for their grass area. We were sat at a table in the grass area in the sun with no umbrella. We asked for an umbrellas as all the other occupied tables had umbrellas and the one that was brought for us was falling apart. It had been taped where it was broken and the tilting function didn't work. The service wasn't great either, super slow. At first the woman attending to us was spending time explaining the wine we were tasting, then after the second taste, she seemed to spend less and less time speaking to us and was super rushed. It also took a long time to get the next taste...we purchased a bottle of white to enjoy for the table and she brought it out in an ice bucket, but did not bring fresh glasses, as our last tasting was red we should have gotten fresh glasses to enjoy the bottle of white we had purchased......but overall it was a good visit. read more

Lovely place and one (if not the only) true winery in the town of Cambria. (Most others either on the way or in Paso Robles. Had some nice Pinot Noirs and sat outside with a view of the hills. Owners were friendly and they even sell wine by the glass. They have a sweet doggie too! read more

We really loved visiting Stolo during our trip to lovely Cambria. Stolo is a smaller winery compared to others in the area/Paso Robles, but it was perfect. When we visited, ithad just re-opened after the Covid shutdown, but we sat outside at the picnic tables well-distanced from others, with the scenic lawn and hillside vineyards to admire. The flight of wines we tasted were a good variety selection, and when you end up buying a few bottles (inevitable!) you get an additional discount. We really enjoyed a Rose (sorry no accent mark available in Yelp! Lol) and a merlot. Perhaps most of all, the team on staff that day were so friendly and attentive -- one evening offered us a taste of a house reserve wine that wasn't part of the flight menu. If you like whites here is the place to come. A tasting is $25 and is 4 whites and 2 reds. The grapes for the wines are grown right across the street. The grassy area is adorable with lots of shade. The servers are very sweet and knowledgeable about the wines. read more

We had to squeeze a visit in between our drive through Big Sur and trying to make it to our inn before 5. In a half an hour my wife and I sampled some of the best wines we tried on the Central Coast. Both Pinots were excellent. We bought the Syrah (highly rated) on the blind, they don't pour it due to short supply. If you have more time than we did, bring food and buy a bottle. What a great find in Cambria. Beautiful venue with an outdoor tasing and picnic are that feels like the real farm life. The 2019 Syrah is OMG delicious if it is still available. We stopped in on a whim yesterday while checking out Cambria and not disappointed by any means. Their tasting flight offers a spectacular range of whites, one rosé, and multiple reds. We found this great little gem on our last trip to Cambria. The tasting room is comfortable and inviting. We came during the summertime and they have a great area for picnicking or just relaxing while you enjoy oneo of their many fine wines. We enjoyed every one we tried, usually when we go to a new winery we are happy if we find two or three that we like, so it was a pleasant surprise when we liked all of their wines. We joined the wine club and just picked up our first shipment last week, this service has been excellent and the people working there are very friendly. read more

My husband and I stopped at Stolo Vineyards after spending an afternoon in Cambria. Normally, we visit wineries in Paso Robles and Templeton but decided to stop here before heading to Paso. We are so glad we did! The grounds are beautiful and wines are worth the drive. The "Dream Team-KK" helped us and made our tasting very enjoyable. They were both very knowledgeable about the wines. My husband who prefers beer really liked the wines here. My favorite was their Chardonnay. Prior to leaving, we even got a tour of the fermentation process and were lucky enough to sample their grapes (Chardonnay and Syrah). We will definitely return! read more

Stolo's has a very large grassy area with scattered picnic tables, each with an umbrella for shade. They take reservations for use of the tables. The tasting room is adjacent. Very pleasant atmosphere and experience. No kid play equipment but the grassy area is great for running around, etc. I recommend it highly for a family picnic. We enjoyed the music until the speaker went fuzzy. Then we returned our empty bottle and charcuterie container to the bar only to be greeted by a surly bartender who said we needed to dump our empty container outside. For one hour of entertainment it cost $77 plus a $20 tip to the band. The least the staff could do was dump the plastic container after we cleared our own table. read more

Very surprising lineup for a place just about 1 mile behind the community of Cambria. The location and the facilities are some of the most beautiful settings of any winery in Paso or Cambria. The hostess was superb. With a few white wines and a few Pinots, they really impressed my palate (something after over 200 wine tasting rooms worldwide). Gladly bought their two Pinots and recommended to a couple who then visited and joined their club. This place deserves a visit. Skip the wineries who have tasting rooms down on Main Street (except Fermentations who technically is not a winery). read more

The last winery of the day, and I am so glad, it was the best one yet. This one was like a legit winery with the vineyards and everything. When we got there the last half hour of being open, there was live music and people chilling on the lawn and picnic tables. It looked like so much fun! I wish we went here the whole day instead lol. If you love Pinots like I do, this is the place to be! Favorites: 2015 Rose of Pinot Noir 2015 Estate Dry Gewurtztraminer Of course we bought bottles of the ones listed in Favorites, but their other Pinot Noirs were pretty good too. Not actually dog friendly despite reviews and other indicators saying otherwise. There is a small area which is designated for dogs on leash but the main outdoor area with grass and picnic tables is off limits. Ironically, the "house" dog runs around the main areas off leash (very sweet dog). We were allowed to stay on the grounds with a warning because the house dog was having so much fun playing with our golden. This experience is in keeping with Cambria in general which deserves the title of least dog friendly "dog friendly" town in America. Take your money to Carmel where dog friendliness is not just a marketing ploy. read more

This is a great boutique winery outside of Cambria. We were heading to Paso Robles and stumbled upon it in the afternoon. First off, they have the whole COVID distancing thing under control with their picnic area, which includes tables and umbrellas. Wines are great and very different due to their dry farming techniques, they have a really unique Pinot. One side note, if you take Santa Rosa Creek Road back towards Paso, beware it's a gem, but fairly windy. Eventually it meets up with 46. read more

So off we went, the drive in was beautiful. I can not say enough about Stolo Family Vineyards! On my first visit, I fell in love in the scenery, red barn, learning about their hill side Pinot Noir and every wine on the tasting menu. I became a club member that day and took home a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. I am still a club member enjoying some of the best wines around! Tasting room staff are delightful & accomodating even when busy as they have live music in the Summer months. A must in Cambria! I would recommend again and again! read more
