I recently joined AronHill Winery and brought my sister and cousin in for a tasting and lunch. The food and wines were excellent, and we enjoyed the overall setting. I was especially excited to support a female-owned business, which made the visit feel even more meaningful. That said, I do want to be candid about our tasting experience. The pour sizes were extremely minimal--so much so that it was difficult to properly taste and appreciate each wine. As a member, I expected a more generous and welcoming tasting experience. I'm sharing this feedback because I value the experience you offer and want to continue supporting your winery. I do hope future visits better reflect the level of hospitality and generosity one would expect, especially as a member. read more

One of the best wineries in Paso Robles. Not only do they have delicious wines, they also have a wonderful lunch menu. I'm no wine connoisseur by any means, but, let me tell you that was some of the best Cabernet I have ever tasted. I have four of there other varieties I have yet to try. Quality/Quantity - Scheduled lunch here and we were the first and only customers, lol. Later two more parties came. Today we got the following: Bucatini Pasta - This was good. A lot of flavors and al dente But not generous portions (as expected). Flatbread - Sorry, I love flatbreads, pizzas, etc. But I can NOT recommend this. It was not bad, just not good. Again, not enough for even one person and this is coming from a light eater. Glass of Kickass Sauvignon Blanc, as we knew we were going to Daou Winery next. Sorry, but I have been hooked on New Zealand's Sauvignon Blanc, but you know that because you are following. So no cases of this for me. Also tried a splash of their signature wine - 2022 Estate Primitovo. I did not buy a case of this either as I was excited about going to Daou. Atmosphere - Women owned and proud. Small, but nice, beautiful location. Indoor or outdoor seating. Another beautiful day. Indoor also has a small private room; see pictures. Plenty of parking, but again we were the first and only customers at 1:15pm, lol. We befriended the couple next to us and shared local winery suggestions. Best suggestion was to go to the Greek themed winery, Sirena Vineyard Resort; see future review. Bistro - Open 6 days a week from 11am to 4pm, closed Mondays. Their tasting room opens 1 hour later. Service - Good. Price - $68 + generous tip. Winery prices, so expect to pay, lol. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1996. read more

Stopped on a whim and so glad we did. We got lunch....chef special mushrooms and a chicken salad sandwich. The mushrooms were amazing and even the chicken salad sandwich was so good and perfect for a lunch. Tried the Sauvignon blanc it paired perfectly with my lunch. My husband got their red blend. Both wines were exceptional. Best part dog friendly - my dog approved of the cookie he was given! We will definitely be back. read more

Anniversary time again, amidst a bunch of birthdays and wild flowers, it couldn't be better to celebrate at AronHill VIneyards with its cute deck overlooking the surrounding vineyards. My husband and I pulled in after a trip to Paso Robles to enjoy a light lunch. It was a wild and windy day, so we chose to eat inside, within warming distance of the fireplace. It wasn't quite as busy as usual, so we relaxed with a glass of their unique "Kickass Chardonnay," while we perused the menu. I ordered a shrimp sandwich, while he opted for his usual Chicken Piccata. We took in the friendly ambience of the cozy dining room and our orders appeared quickly. We did love the wine and food, but missed our usual server Gale, and her stories of times past in the county. We will return for more lush lunches as the year goes on! The drive home, out on 46 to just South of Cambria, then down the coast on Route One to SLO always reminds us how lucky we are to live here. read more

Lovely and boutique-y = charming. Nestled atop of a hill, the courtyard deck overlooks a beautiful vineyard setting, while the walk-in also has a sweet inside if you prefer. We came for lunch, grub and wine. Got a bottle of their Rose Primitivo, perfect for a warm day. My group of 4 ordered 2 salads and 2 burgers. While the bun and fixings were good, quality bun, nice crunchy lettuce, brie, and an aioli. But, the nicely seasoned Angus burger patty was perfectly formed (not by hand) giving it a texture made from the freezer. I ate half, and was bummed. Come for the setting. Come for the wine. I wanted to start by saying that the food was excellent! My husband and I both enjoyed every bite! However, it took close to an hour to get our food from the time we ordered. At one point, our server told us they were plating our food, and it still took another 20 minutes for it to come out. We were told that it was busy and everything was made from scratch. I understand that it can be busy, so it would be helpful to have enough staff so people don't have to wait so long. Another table that was seated before us, still didn't have their food by the time we left. Also, the seating on hard wooden benches was very uncomfortable and cushions would have made it more tolerable. read more

Well-we had won an auction item 6 months ago for 2 free tasting and a complementary appetizer at Aron Hill $85 value. We have been to this tasting room before. We took our voucher into the business and was seated (it was not busy) we were told by the owner they had not given out those vouchers for 10yrs-they would not honor it. They would give us a buy one get one free tasting-$25 value. Ok-whatever. We skipped the tasting-ordered a $60 bottle of wine and lunch-then purchased 2 bottles of wine to take home. Service was good. But..is this the way to do business??? Tasting cost them nothing-most wineries comp if you buy 3 bottles of wine. We weren't offered a comp dessert or glass of wine or anything. Made reservations for four of at 1330 hours. We got there early and were sat down on the outdoor terrace. It was 61 degrees with no wind, perfect conditions. Our Waitress (Gale) was fabulous. Turns out she was a (Pedro. Girl) meaning San Pedro, California she was 78 years old and full of spunk. She made our visit a pure joyous experience. We tried 5 different tastings and eventually lunch. Our wives had Red Beet salad and T e husbands had Chicken with Cranberries and apple slice. OMG the food was to die for. We came to AronHill based on a recommendation from one of my clients at a winery north of Paso. This was on our last day of wine tasting...so had been to several other wineries in the area. We were not impressed. First of all - they offered no comp tastings for industry - stating that we weren't in the Paso Area. I said OK, but asked why - and was told they were too small. (3000 cases is not small). For reference ALL other wineries comped our tastings, even the one that was only producing 800 cases of wine annually. Next - no discount on wine purchases. While this was the only winery all weekend to not offer discounts - at least I could accept this, as I have been to other wineries where this is the case. (Typically much higher end wineries... but OK) And on we go... when we asked for water - our server asked how many, I paused and said "well one for each of us?". We were brought bottles water. At that point I guessed we would be charged for water. At the end of the tasting, our server told us we could get an extra pour if we provided a YELP review. We declined as the wines just weren't that great. But again, no other winery holds back extra pours in lieu of a review... and every other winery we visited over the weekend provided us extra tastes... without us asking. We did order food - which was OK - and the views were nice. When the bill arrived, we were indeed charged for the water. Keep in mind, we had ordered food as well as the wine tastings. Have you ever been to a restaurant that charges you for water? In closing, we will not be heading back here. There are just too many other great wineries in Paso that also provide food. Or allow you to bring a picnic.... If you do plan to visit - bring your own water! read more

We really enjoyed stopping here for little lunch and some wine tasting. I wish I got her name, but the older lady with glasses.....she was the sweetest cutest lady ever! We enjoyed talking to her and hearing her stories of growing up in San Pedro. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful views of the vineyards. We were in Paso Robles for Memorial Day Weekend and had made some plans but with a toddler we were trying to not be too scheduled out. We ended up calling on a Sunday and asking if there was room for a tasting and lunch - they were able to fit us in right away! Somebody needs to teach the staff that it's called wine "tasting" not wine "smelling". For $25 the lady was dripping wine into our glasses that we could hardly take a sip. The food was so expensive. For 6 people tasting and 4 small dishes the check was close to $300. They also shove the 20% tip for their inattentive service. I wouldn't visit again. Find a place elsewhere to taste like Tudor in downtown Paso Robles where they are very generous. Other than the view, for which you don't need to taste their wine, rest was meh. read more
