As you head up the driveway to Parrett Cellars, you are surrounded by beautiful, tall trees. It is such a charming setting for a charming tasting room, which is also made of tree logs. We visited on Black Friday and were super happy with our experience. The wine and food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The view is fantastic, especially on a clear day. The staff were all so helpful with the tastings and also bringing bottles to our table while we enjoyed a fire pit on the patio. I'm only taking away a star because there were 10 tasting options, but your fee covered five. Some people might enjoy the selection but I like it when the winery picks their top wines for me to taste. This might not be the case when it's not a busy holiday. Holy shit! After piping around to pansy wineries, we visited Parret Mountain Cellars. Everyone here is so nice and easy going. The wine was absolutely fabulous. They make a lot of big reds, in an area where it's mostly Pinot Noir. And we were hungry, so we ordered a charcuterie board and it was amazing. Only $20 and it was loaded up. What better way to end your day then with Parret Mountain. We love these guys and we'll be back soon. read more

We took our family from Arizona here on 9/15/22. There were 5 of us, with 2 non-wine drinkers. We were seated on the deck quickly with no reservations. The staff, including one of the owners, were very attentive, cheerful and just nice normal people. The charcuterie tray, Brie & bread plate and spinach dip were all very good. I really appreciated that they offered beer, coffee & tea for those of us who need wine alternatives. Brilliant! Most wineries only offer water which makes you feel unwelcome if you don't drink wine. I fell in love with a new tea they offered (one of many flavors) and so appreciated this example of superior hospitality. My husband loved the wine. This place is beautiful with a nice view through the trees and everything is spotless, even outdoors. Well done! read more

I absolutely love this winery! Parrett Mountain Cellars is my go-to for girlfriends tasting day, date night, and out of town guests. The service is great and they have a wide variety of options to taste outside of the typical Oregon Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. One of my personal favorite is their Pinot Blanc. My husband and I went to this wonderful spot today. Stunning views from inside and outside. We sat by the fire outside and soaked in the beautiful surroundings. The wine flight was amazing! We had the charcuterie tray along with the tasting and it was perfection! A large amount of food perfect for two. The owner was incredibly personable and staff was knowledgeable and very pleasant. All in All it far exceeded my expectations and I will definite come back. The building alone is worth the trip! read more

Sorry but not for me! Wine was fine- nothing that blew me away. But the service made it so I will never be back. Showed up 45 minutes before closing and got a tasting with a few family members. They were obviously bummed that we came in so close to close, which I can understand in many circumstances but we planned to finish our tastings and be out by closing. They basically walked by us multiple times and complained about us being there and started cleaning up and putting chairs on tables 20 minutes before close. Ruined our time and was super unprofessional. Have worked in the industry for many years and would NEVER treat customers like that. read more

The service at this winery was off the charts! Thank goodness Yamhill county opened up after COVID! This group was making lemonade out of lemons on the first weekend back open. Each of the servers knew a ton about the wines and had 2 distinct flights to chose from. Sue was so attentive and knowledgeable! They were all booked up inside (COVID and all) but we were able to sit on the grass and enjoy the sunshine this last Sunday. The small plates and charcuterie board were so tasty. Pretty building and property. The cheeseboard was nothing more than what you would find in Wal-Mart made by Hilllshire Farms. We had to fetch our own food from the bar to take to the table (because covid?), and when we grabbed the cheese plate the crackers fell off. Was told they would bring out more crackers. They never arrived. Very disappointing, especially for $20. When ordering my wine flight, I was asked if I wanted a red or white flight. I said white. Flight came with 3 whites and 2 reds. Ummm, I ordered the white wine flight. I asked if I could swap the red for a rose. Nope. Rose is for members only. Really? I know members get deals etc, but I can't have a glass of rose from a bottle I see opened behind the counter because I'm not a member, in place of the red wine I got after ordering white? Whatever. We went outside to sit in the lawn. Beautiful grounds, but was ruined by loud pop/100.3 FM style music playing over speakers all over the property. Came to relax, not be blasted by bad music. Left pretty disappointed over all. 2 of the white wines in the flight were delicious though. The other one we literally thought was water. The reds were meh to me, but that's to be expected as I didn't even want reds. read more

Parrett Mountain Cellars is a WONDERFUL wine tasting experience. The owners and wine servers are incredibly hospitable and welcoming. We have been blown away by their kindness and hospitality each and every visit. You get to create your own custom flight by selecting your favorite varietals off of their list and it's refreshing to have more than just a list of Pinot Noir. I can't speak highly enough of the team here and how much we've enjoyed our visits to Parrett Mountain. Truly a unique setting (feels a bit like a luxurious tree house with incredible views), with a wide array of varietals to taste, and offered by gracious hosts. The Grants are great people and have the best wines around. They have exceptional red wines, bold reds, and I love the Zinfandel, Malbec and Barbera. They ship to my home in Tennessee and I just tell them to send a selection of their favorites and I am never disappointed! You have to give them a try and join their wine club! read more

We love coming up here. The winery has so much wood in the place and a tree(dead) in the middle of the winery. They serve big bold reds.

Two stars because the waitress made sure my husband and I felt very unwelcome. The location is beautiful and the wine is good, but the customer service is not. I told many people about this place because I truly loved it but our last experience was bad and left us feeling very uncomfortable. My husband and I decided to stop by for his birthday and asked to sit outside. They told us that there weren't any tables available and that we would have to sit in chairs facing the view which was totally fine and we were happy to do that. All the other groups outside were seated at tables, some with fire pits and some without. A group got up to leave and my husband and I didn't notice anyone going for the table since everyone was already seated at their own table so we sat down. That's when we noticed one of the waitresses (lady in her mid-50s) quickly rush over to the couple next to us and quietly apologize to them then walked away without saying a word to us. I connected the dots and realized they were probably waiting for this table since it has a fire pit and their table didn't. As soon as we realized, my husband and I apologized and offered the couple the table. They were very kind and kept reassuring us that we can sit there and they were fine where they were. We would've appreciated if the waitress came up and told us they were waiting for the spot and we would've gladly went back to our chairs. But instead, she proceeded to ignore us while coming up to the other couple multiple times and asking if she can do anything for them. For whatever reason, she was very offended on their behalf and made sure we felt that. She walked past our table multiple times, looking at all the glasses and plates left by the previous guests and didn't care to clear it off. I finally asked another waitress if we can get it cleared off and she passive aggressively asked me if we waited to get it cleared off before we sat down. My husband and I felt incredibly uncomfortable and they just made us feel like we were these rude people coming in trying to steal other's spots. It was a misunderstanding that could've been easily cleared up if she came over and told us the couple was waiting for the spot instead of assuming we were rude and choosing to ignore us. The couple who wanted the spot initially didn't even care and had a great time but that waitress just held some grudge against us and made us feel like we didn't belong. We didn't want to stay much longer since we were being ignored and decided to leave shortly after. As we were leaving we noticed another couple head for a table that wasn't cleared off and a waiter quickly ran over and cleared it for them. Wish we received the same treatment. It definitely put a damper on my husband's birthday trip and we both left feeling treated like we were less important and unwelcome. read more
