Long-time fan, but very disappointed lately I've been going to Parilladas Danny for 10 years and introduced many friends to the place -- most of whom kept coming back with their families. The food is great, no doubt about it. But on my last visit, my friend and I ordered two ceviches and a big Chicha Morada. We split the bill and each paid separately. A 15% tip had already been added, so we didn't leave anything extra. Later at home, I noticed they had charged the 15% tip twice -- once on each of our bills. That's $8.33 each, not shared. Place was busy, which often is a good sign but unfortunately, I did not like the taste. The sauce was too watery for me it and the pasta too soft. The steak was overcooked and the golden potatoes were good and crispy but no good side for this dish. In my opinion. The best chaufa! I usually order the seafood mix or the shrimp chaufa. VERY generous portions for a superb price. The shrimp is not overcooked, large and juicy, and the fried rice is delicious. I also order the Lomo saltado. The first time I ordered it, it came a little tough and overcooked, but ever since, it has been juicy. They also give you a large portion of white rice with it. I have ordered the party meals and individual meals. It has been a hit with people who have never tried Peruvian food before, and with my Peruvian friends. I called them and told them what they gave me was wrong to have them switch it out because I'm allergic to most shell fish. I could not have been more disappointed in my meal that I had delivered to my home. I ordered a chaufa de mariscos & calamari. The chaufa had two pieces of shrimp at most and barely any seafood in it. The fried calamari tasted greasy and i couldn't finish it. First time, I Came after opening but they were not prepared, when inquiring about certain plates they explained it would take close to an hour to prepare. Being Peruvian myself, I must say how impressed I am that every plate I received tasted so authentic and absolutely delicious. I had the Tallarin Verde con Bistec (spaghettis with pesto sauce and steak) and my boyfriend had Bistec a lo Pobre that is served with a huge steak, fries, plantains, rice and salad! Terrible service!! I went with my mother and we sat down and were given no menu, the waitress came over to the table next to us and took their order then turned to us and ask "have you ordered yet?" And I said, "no we didn't even get a menu" she said "oh" and gave us the menu from the table next to us. Then we ordered a ceviche and a soup. Less than 5 minutes later the table next to us got their order. We waited 10 more minutes and I finally got the ceviche but the soup was nowhere to be found. We waited another 15 minutes and I finally asked the waitress where the soup was, "it's still being prepared" she said, and was not apologetic about it at all, instead she gave me an attitude. After waiting another 5 minutes I decided to ask to have the ceviche packed to go. The man at the register proceeded to scold me and told me we had been sitting at our table only 18 minutes (which was false, we had been there over 30 minutes and the table next to us had already finished their meal) he said we had no patience and that the soup would now go to waste. Not once did anyone apologize to us, that is no way to treat a customer. I will not be going to this establishment ever again. WNY has plenty of places that have good ceviche and Peruvian food. I think for anyone who is serious about food, they all have personal "watershed" dining experiences, where it opens up their palate to something they've never had before, redefines all past and future experience, and recalibrates their gold standard for a particular dish or cuisine. For me, Dany's was a watershed moment for me and Peruvian cuisine, and more specifically ceviche and Chifa (or Peruvian-Chinese cuisine). Authentic, generous portions, and moderately priced, the white fish ceviche and chaufa (Peruvian-Chinese fried rice) are a must. The ceviche is melt-in your mouth tender with a vibrant acidic note of citrus that is counterbalanced by the sweetness of large kernel corn, sweet/regular potato with additional spice notes of cilantro and red onion. Simple yet impossibly addictive. The chaufa or the Peruvian take on Chinese fried rice with a unique combination of spices, is outstanding with an excellent char from the wok, perfectly fried and seasoned rice, and further enhanced with their spicy pepper sauce on request. On our most recent visit, one of my sister in laws' mother who is a Cantonese restaurant cook, commented that even she is unable to make fried rice this good, which is about as high a compliment as I can think of. I also highly recommend the soups, especially the seafood soup, which is like a less acidic and more buttery cioppino with a velvety briny broth loaded with mussels, fish, squid, and shrimp. Add a fresh squeeze of lime to further enhance the natural sweetness from the seafood. Other popular items include the hand-blended milkshakes with fresh fruit, the large mixed grills including offerings such as beef heart/liver that I would imagine what it would be like to attend a backyard barbecue in Peru, and traditional dishes like lomo saltado, causa, and chicha morada (purple corn drink). From being one of the first meals I shared with my better half to having them cater for post-wedding brunches and baby showers and many more family get-togethers to come, a meal at Dany's will never cease to be anything short of a personal benchmark of Peruvian food past, present, and future. read more

My three-star rating is solely because the deceiving way that they automatically add a gratuity to the bill for groups of 3 or more, without notifying the customer or listing it on their handwritten bill. The food is authentic Peruvian and consistent with the delicious meals that I enjoyed in Lima. I strongly suggest the ceviche and the papas a la huancaina for appetizers. The portions are large and enough to share. The typical Lomo Saltado is fantastic and the Arroz Chaufa is out of this world. Unfortunately, there is no way to request any changes (such as arroz chaufa instead of white rice) but, there enough to ensure a take-out bag. Had the parrillada (mixed grill) a few weeks ago - everything was cooked well done (never asked by our server) and the meat was sliced very thinly. Despite advertising as a Parrillada (steak place), any typical Argentinian place beats Dany's. Service is hit or miss. Very attentive when taking orders but completely neglectful once the food is served. Good luck getting a drink refill. With all of this, the prices are very affordable. I'll surely return because of the food but lower my expectations of great service and closely monitor the bill. read more

Ok so I just happened into this place because I went with my boyfriend for a photoshoot and didn't eat as I should have so upon the recommendation of the Colombian photographer we went here because the seafood was suppose to be off the chain. I had some amazing fried fish platter that would feed a nation and my bf had the steak with rice and sunny side up egg, and whatever the dressing is for the salad (just a simple iceberg with tomato with corn) delish!!!! the staff was laid back but pleasant and refreshing happy which was infectious. This is a good restaurant. The plates are def very well proportioned if you are hungry. I have been here twice. Once with my In Laws and with my parents. I had a good meal both times. My daughter loves the Arroz Chaufa. I was amazing. They make it with three types of meats. Chicken , Beef , and hot dog. So good. I had the Papa al la huacaina and also had the Antichuos. Everything was good. Love that they are fast and friendly. Love that they give you the little popcorn kernels that are just divine. My daughter can eat it all. My wife enjoyed her food as well. She had the Arroz con Pollo. The Lomo is good as well. The parking is a bit difficult because it is a busy town. Although if you call ahead they can arrange some parking for you. The reason why I am eating 4 stars not 5. Is the because of the bathroom. The bathroom is far, you have to cross through the side of the kitchen and out into a little hallway. I did not like that. That bathroom did not look clean. In conclusion I do recommend this spot for authentic Peruvian food. Good taste and made with love. if i could give zero stars, i would. we ordered tray of food for mother's day since we usually liked their food. we asked for it to be delivered at 4 and they said okay. it is currently 5:21 and we went to the restaurant since they never answered our numerous calls. they told us that they do not have our order and we should cancel it. i repeat, they didn't have our food at all after being late for over an hour and proceeded to tell us to cancel. what type of customer service is that? it's so embarrassing so say we were fans. do better! read more
