Beautiful atmosphere both inside and out. There are nice big comfy stools to sit at while you wine taste. Staff is always friendly. We have been here twice and just became a member on our most recent visit. They have great reds: yummy blends, great syrah. read more

Most beautiful winery! We loved our visit to Parrish, where we found the views, service, and wine to all be top notch. The rosè was one of our favorites of the trip, and our server was extremely knowledgable, answering our questions about the winery and giving wonderful recommendations. My sister enjoyed the grilled peach and fennel salad and we all had such a lovely time on the beautiful porch. We stopped at this place on Aug. 1st because we went to Daou to buy a few bottles and wanted to buy a bottle from one more place we have never been before. It was 4pm and we walked in and the guy behind the bar greeted us by saying " sorry we are already closed". We told them the sign outside said that they close at 5 (almost an hour away). He said "well we have already started "closing procedures". We stood there confused, and finally he said he was willing to pour one small glass and that's it. We were also not allowed to sit outside because they were "closing". In my opinion every customer should be treated the same all the way up to the time they close. If they close at 5 that's when they close period. If they need an hour to "close" they should "close" an hour earlier, instead of giving us this whole talk about the "closing procedures". We left with a bottle and a taste but not a very pleasant experience. Stars go to the pretty place and landscape. read more

My goal was to find big and bold red wines. Doing some research I came across Parrish Family Vineyard. They had very few articles written about them, so I dug deeper and found a interview with David Parrish (vineyard owner and wine maker). I was extremely fascinated of his pedigree and being mentored by Robert Mondavi. I also stated looking into Parrish Family Vineyard awards and accolades which compared to a lot of the other wineries was few, that's my opinion. What do I know. I started following Parrish Family Vineyard on Instagram, great looking photos. And I was curious what the membership was all about so I messaged them on their IG account and got a quick response in which I liked. I made the decision to try it out. I traveled to the Winery and it was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds and tasing room were lovely. Erin was our host, full of energy and knowledgeable. She expressed the vision of David Parrish and how dedicated he was to making the best wines. You can say that about all wine makers but it felt different at Parrish Family Vineyard. Before I go any further the tasting was 25.00 but waived if you join the club or purchase of 50.00 or more. I came across a few reviewers who were not thrilled about the fee. Also my wife was not thrilled about not being allowed to bring in your own food for future visits. I knew this coming in but when we exploring and walking around the tasting room I had to break the news to her. I do hope management changes their mind but for me personally it was not a deal breaker......why?? Because the wine was exceptional. Everything we sampled got better and better. The wine blew away my expectations. These wines were big and bold.....exactly what I was looking for, a low production high quality wines. Plus the majority of their grapes are grown in-house. With that, I joined the club and got total of 7 bottles. My opinion on David Parrish is that he doesn't care about awards, fads, or what sells. He cares about the wine, the land and the grapes and vine. This man is passionate and all he cares about is staying true to his art and continues to pay homage to his wine training and heritage. read more

This is one of my favorite wine tastings in Paso. I have been visiting Parrish's tasting room in downtown Paso for some years now so I was ecstatic to finally visit their tasting room on the vineyard! Their vineyard is absolutely GORGEOUS with stunning views and, of course, fabulous wine to match. I have always been a fan of their Sauvignon blanc and Rosé especially on a beautiful sunny California day, but also love their Cabernet when craving something a little more full-bodied. (Really you can't go wrong with any of their wine in my opinion.) The cherry on top for my visit was that they now have vegan food pairings! It's pretty rare for me to find when I go wine tasting something besides a bowl of almonds to pick at so I was beyond excited! And of course there's other treats as well! It is truly a treat to escape the city to visit Parrish Family Vineyard. I always feel welcomed by the lovely staff and family at Parrish and look forward to it every year! I highly suggest everyone visit! They are a gem that more people need to know about! read more

We stopped in Paso Robles on our way to San Luis Obispo and checked out three wine tasting rooms. Parrish was our third and by far our favorite! All of the wines we tried were amazing and still reasonably priced at $20 - $40 per bottle. We tried great whites and great reds. The chardonnay and GSM were our favorites and the ones we ended up purchasing. The tasting at Parrish is $10 (waived if you buy a bottle of wine) which is more than some of the other tasting rooms in Paso that are free or $5. However, the superior wines at Parrish are definitely worth it! The girl pouring our wines was also very nice and informative, the tasting room is adorable, and they had cool other stuff to buy in addition to wine (think: wine-tasting picnic kit). Even the small details like the perfect tasting crackers (made my Toll House surprisngly) made this visit perfect! I'd love to come back! read more

Loved, loved, LOVED our experience here. Lauren was our tasting room attendant and she gave us great background on the wines provided along with a cool history of the family who owns the vineyard. Wow. What an incredible experience for such a "new" vineyard. I say new because this particular vineyard may be new, but the Parrish family has been in the wine business for generations and have been an intricate in changing everything we know about how wine is made... First of all, it felt as if this establishment has grown up in these hills, Parrish feels as natural in Paso as the Oak trees that surround them. Second, they're a forward thinking classic with a few vegan options that paired perfectly with their wines and I really appreciated. Try the vegan hummus! And last, but certainly not least - you absolutely have to get Grace to give you a tour of the grounds before you settle in. Her knowledge of the history and of the wines elevated our entire experience. We felt as if we were apart of the history and innovation that Parrish name is. We first visited Parrish in April of 2019. Immediately, the service was fantastic. Jennifer helped us and explained everything from the wine we were tasting to include how David makes the wine. We were impressed that the owner, David, was also the winemaker. It is a small, family run business and you can tell they take great pride in their wine. We joined their Innovators club that day and have never been disappointed. We returned this past Thanksgiving for the wine pairing. Their executive chef, Rachel, is amazing. She took the time to explain everything and how she went about creating the food to pair with the wine. She adds that special touch to the make the experience great. The next day we came back for brunch, also AMAZING. We visited a lot of wineries in Paso and this by far is the best. From the customer service to the taste of the wine, Parrish Family nailed it. I read the few negative reviews before I posted mine. To the lady who had the group of six along with children...probably shouldn't take kids to a winery. Also, they have an EXECUTIVE CHEF. That means it is a restaurant, would you bring your own food into another restaurant? Must taste wines: Any Cabs, Silken and their Malbec's! Enjoy!! read more

Friendly staff, super knowledgable, and a family owned establishment that I love to support. For wineries, I'm feeling that personality for staff was friendly, though slightly "factory" or "rehearsed." I loved the details of the wine and pairings, though I wasn't convinced they were as into the wine craft as so many are that you can encounter at wineries. We just went here for the first time and had a wonderful experience! The service was terrific, the setting beautiful, and the wines are great!
