They answered my questions and I asked for their suggestions. Their choices were great and they did not steer me the wrong direction. All the other food look great. Kitchen area was clean. Do not forget the white sauce and red sauce. I cover everything with the white sauce and use a little red sauce on everything. Don't go heavy on the red if you don't like hot. It's not a place to really dine in with more than a few people as the space can't accommodate large gatherings. They have a location in one of the hotel casinos but I would rather drive to this location for just the shorter and fast lines of service. I loved this place in San Jose. I've been craving it ever since I moved. Unfortunately after driving 30 minutes to get there there was no seating inside. What was odd was they had enough tables but not enough chairs. There was a table of eight and a table of three that took up all the chairs. However there were three other tables but no chairs. This was my first visit at this location. I absolutely love The Halal Guys and have eaten at their various locations in 5 different states. This location is really tucked away and I wouldn't have known it was there if I wasn't actually looking for it. After walking in, my daughter and I were not greeted, there were only two other people eating inside the store, but the staff looked flustered. I believe they were busy with online orders. After waiting about 3-5 minutes. The woman behind the counter asked what we wanted. She didn't smile, didn't welcome us, and she looked a little annoyed we were even there. She fulfilled our order and gave us our trays, she didn't say thank you or come back, she just walked away. As we sat down at a table, we realized she didn't give us any utensils, or hot sauce. My daughter went back up and asked her for these items and she was not friendly about it. Besides the poor service, our food was fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection , and tasted delicious. It's a shame, because I would've given them 5 stars if the service was better. The next time I'm on this side of town, I might give them another try to see if service has improved. Had a craving for this place and forgot why I stopped coming here. Our intention was to dine inside but when we walked in we noticed it was hotter than it was outside. Last year the same exact thing happened and we removed this place from our list. This year the temp outside was around 112 degrees and inside it actually felt hotter. There were two young ladies over very hot stoves and sweat dripping from their heads. I also didn't see one single fan for them or anywhere around the small space. I feel so bad for them. I'm not sure how restaurants can stay open when they don't have AC in the summer. Since this was an issue last year it tells me management is too cheap to do anything about it and just expects their employees to suffer in the extremely HOT summer months. They couldn't have purchased a new unit last year and it already stopped working just 1 year later. I expect a lot more from The Halal Guys. You're a very big company and growing with many locations. With no AC in Vegas in the summer it should be illegal for restaurants to stay in business. Just my opinion. read more

We stopped by to get some gyros before heading out, the store wasn't too crowded and we were greeted as we walked in. The over appearance was a little run down and certainly could have been cleaner. There are only a few tables so you may have trouble if it's busy. We placed our order and received our food in a timely manner. The meat was a little dry and could have been a bit more flavor full but it wasn't terrible. While I would eat there again it would not be some place I go out of my way too. read more

I've been coming to this location for many years and unfortunately it seems as if the portion sizes have become much smaller for the price. I used to get two full meals out of a regular sized platter which was worth it. They also nickel and dime you for extra servings of toppings which is just annoying and petty.... like you can't absorb the cost of a tablespoon of chopped green peppers? The quality of the toppings doesn't seem on point either, just not as fresh as it once was. Maybe this is due to inconsistency and I was there on a bad day. But I feel like this is a common theme with chain restaurants lately. Fill up on fillers and cut back on the protein and veggies in hopes that customers won't notice. The server was very generous with the portions. We also asked for extra white sauce to go with our plates. The servers and cashiers were very quick to get our orders complete. The beef was very tasty, however the chicken was a tad bit bland. I think it could use a bit of seasoning for more flavor. The rice was seasoned well and the vegetables were vey fresh! For the last few visits, the location is only accepting online orders, which I assume is the result of staff shortage. When I came today, star employee Alex was HUSTLING to complete tickets, managing pickups, and fixing the soda machine as he was the only person working while we were there. Watching him was like watching a scene out of fast and furious - he was on a mission! He deserves a raise, and more help. Please hire more people like Alex! read more

Just received my doordashed order and when I opened the bag for our meals, I found that the sauce was missing completely - no white and no hot. I can't comprehend how that can even happen since sauce is as integral to this dish as having a fork to eat it with. Called them, they said I could come by and pick some sauce up, which only pissed me off more because you know that's not going to happen. I complained to DoorDash and I'm sure a human never saw my chat complaints and they threw a few dollars at me in credit like I'm some cretin to be bought off with a pittance. So now I'm here chewing on dry chicken and overcooked gyro meat writing this review. I picked up a small lamb platter during lunch time. I was the only customer, but they were preparing some take out orders. The two workers were very friendly and quick. The whole place needed a good scrub down, just overall greasy and dirty. The "pastry case" was so gross. The food was not good. Lamb was dried out, the rice hard not fully cooked, the raw onions, tomatoes and olives were the only part worth eating. And of course, the store bought cheap pita was ok. The rice was okay and it came with some salad of course . They were very generous with the amount of sauces they included in the bag . I was happy about that since I tend to use quite a bit . The sauces were pretty good . I have to say for the money we spent and the other places I've been to in town , I would go somewhere else unless it was late at night like it was at this time and the others were closed . Depending on the server. - Hygiene: Floor didn't look clean. I didn't want to try the bathroom. - Price: It's been continuously going up, hope it doesn't go up anymore lol - Location: It is in the middle of Chinatown, at a busy restaurant area. - Parking: But you can still find a parking spot in front of the restaurant. - ETC * This location is 24/7. I have been wanting to try The Halal guys for a long time when I used to live in the Bay Area. I have heard great things about it and I can see why. Got the combo platter to go and it was HUGE. Got 2 orders to share with 3 people and we actually only finish one order. quite impressive. The meats were tendered and the sauce was delicious. It comes with one packet of hot sauce, but we were afraid so we only put couple drips to have a good kick to it. The pita bread was super soft and fresh and wish there were more.
