I looked it up on google and it had thousands of reviews so I had to give it a try. the steak shawarma plate was out of this world. and I don't say that lightly! first of all, LOOK at the amount of sides. fresh pita, hummus with the toppings on it, yellow rice, cucumber salad, slaw, olives, pico, and crispy fried onions?? it felt like a whole feast for one plate. every single side was fresh, and it was a fun experience eating everything. the shawarma itself was seasoned perfectly. but the thing that really sent me was the garlic aioli. I went from sha-hot-a paradise outside to this inside. Shawarma Paradise is a nondescript shop in Little Ethiopia. For those who might get lost trying to find it, they're pretty much right across the street from Burger King. After I finally located them and walked in, it looked odd since it felt like almost behind the counter, but you can just walk around to the dining room and the front of the counter. I was recommended a couple of choices and went with the Black Angus Steak Shawarma as a Laffa wrap ($24.50). The employee had me walk over to the Chipotle-esque assembly area after and then walked me through the choices. I recall getting hummus, a mild green sauce of some kind, raw sumac onions, fried onions, fried eggplant, cucumber, pico de gallo, and purple slaw. Then the cool stuff happened when he offered to let me sample some sauce and then get multiple sauces on the side. The curry mango amba is some really challenging stuff that resembled something I've tried at some Indian lunch buffet ages ago, so I'm glad I didn't get it on the wrap. The creamy BBQ aioli (kinda like a sweeter fry sauce, I felt), dill & roasted garlic mayo, and tahini were all better options, the former going especially well with my included side of fries while the dill plays a great supporting role and the tahini just does its thing. I sat down and got to the actual wrap, and it was delicious. The laffa is fluffy and thicker than I thought it might be; it ain't a lavash, that's for sure. The steak is pretty tender, often has that char from the vertical rotisserie it was carved from, and free from chewy bits. It has a nice warming spice rub which you can get more easily before starting to experiment with sauces. All three aforementioned choices worked. Overall, it isn't cheap (especially if you don't have cash on-hand to avoid the surcharge), but I enjoyed it. I also got a bottled lemonade ($4.95) of some sort which they've imported from Israel. It had a little more actual lemon character than American brands, and I kinda plowed through that thing pretty quickly. I'm kinda curious whether the mango, peach, or grape options would have also worked. Shawarma Paradise is a very good, albeit pricey option for steak shawarma and likely for other protein needs. Check them out if you get the craving, as I'm not confident that there are many if any better spots around. read more

I ordered the chicken shawarma with falafel, and my son went with the beef shawarma laffa. Everything was absolutely delicious. Beyond the amazing food, the service really stood out. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly helpful, walking us through menu options and drink choices. We were so impressed that I asked if he was the owner. He told us the owner was actually sitting out front, so we made sure to let him know how much we enjoyed the food and the experience. It was nice to have lots of variety on my platter and it was all a very generous portion that is more than one meal for most people. To me this is three stars because all three proteins we tried were dried out. The chicken schnitzel was very noticeably dry. I'm surprised that they served it to me. I am certain that the person slicing the chicken could tell that it was over cooked. The vegetables were good. The pita was hot and is a better type than you get at a lot of places. Came here last night for dinner. We shared the mix shawarma in pita and chicken shawarma in laffa. Both sandwhiches came with a side and we picked fries. It was our first time and the staff was really nice and helpful explaining to us how the order goes. The fries was good very simple. The mix sharwama in pita was tasty and a good size for one if you're not that hungry. They stuff it pretty well and very generous with the portion of meat. We liked this one but we liked the chicken in laffa more. Now if you're hungry I would suggest getting the laffa as the portion is much bigger, plus they make the laffa in house. The food was delicious!! Took a chance on this place as we were driving by and it sounded interesting. We were a little skeptical from the outside, but ended up really enjoying this place. The service started a little slow as someone was on break, but once they took our order they were very helpful. They helped us choose what to put on our combo plate and directed us to the sauces which are keep in a fridge case near the tables. They also checked on us as we were eating to see if all was good. I came here for lunch for the first time! The place is very mom and Pop shop feel. The staff was super helpful at answering all my questions. I ended up ordering the chicken Shawarma on the laffa bread. This was like a Mediterranean burrito. The meat was super flavorful, and it was completely customizable. I got all the options put on which included hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. When they are making your sandwich, they will ask what toppings you would like (you can build your own or go traditional). The hummus looks like it was made in-house (extremely velvety and creamy). This place is located next to Little Ethiopia, which faces Flamingo Blvd. and parallel to Jinya. The restaurant itself is small. I'm not sure if I met the Owner, although he seemed like he was. It was our first time and he explained the menu with such enthusiasm. I love how he takes great pride with this place, and it's such a great feeling. I like that you're able to pick your toppings. Meals come with a side of fries or rice. I was with a party of 4. One of my brothers ordered a mixed pita and I ordered the beef laffa. There was a slight confusion and I accidentally started picking the toppings with my brother's order and he picked the toppings for my order. When we realized our orders got mixed up, I explained what happened and they did not have an issue replacing my order. One of the reasons why I keep coming back is because the people who traditionally eat this type of food come here religiously. That's how I know the food is legit. I loved the food here. I got the chicken shawarma wrap and it was delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. When you order, you have to choose between a pocket, a wrap or a plate, I think they have also a sub. Then you choose your meat and then veggies and sauces. And they have all kinds, including pickled veggies, white sauce and fresh cabbage. The service was amazing, they recommend me some sauces and then told us we can also grab sauce bottles from the fridge. The ambience is a normal cafe, self serving style of eatery. There are 2 TVs and 2 bathrooms here, and some normal tables and some high top tables and chairs. There's free parking outside. And the restaurant is located close to the Palms hotel and casino. The food was just okay--the meat was chewy and lacked flavor, and the customer service was mediocre at best. I do like that they prep your food right in front of you, but I wish there were more options when it came to toppings and sauces. It's an Israeli-owned family business, but I found it odd that there was no clear mention of whether the food is kosher. Maybe I missed it, but it wasn't visible anywhere. I personally prefer to eat kosher or halal, so that's something I tend to pay attention to. The inside isn't anything fancy. There's a sink in the hallway outside the bathroom, which felt kind of out of place, and the kitchen area looked messy and not very clean. Overall, I don't think I'd go back.
