Bruna assisted us with my husband's retirement party (60 people) at a small venue in downtown San Jose. She helped coordinate catering (and even some decoration) needs with the venue, in addition to providing direction on food choices (we had passed and stationary heavy appetizers), cocktails and drinks. She was highly responsive during the planning process, and her calm demeanor was appreciated in the hours before the party when the catering truck had to navigate a very small alley, and the food had to be prepared outside the venue. Umm, wow. Prep, food and CLEANUP could not have been better. Had these guys cater our work holiday event. They took over my kitchen @ 3pm and prepared a meal for ~20 guests. Served family style (my choice) great steak, sea bass, and a vegetarian dish plus salads, apps dessert+++ Not cheap as this cost about ~$5000, but well worth it. PSRT helped us create the perfect wedding celebration event for 170 guests in a remote hilltop barn setting in Woodside. From the first response, Shannon totally "got" our vision and was incredibly responsive, creative, flexible, and fun! Eventually, Morgan came on board as our production manager and perfectly executed the plan. We had PSRT do the bar and rentals as well as all the food and that was probably the best decision we made. Every detail was meticulously attended to before, during, and after the event. There was never a line to be seen, the appetizers were so fun and delicious, and the family-style dinner was absolutely amazing! These folks --from the bar staff to the servers to the team of chefs-- are absolute PROs. (The venue owner wrote us after the event complimenting the caterers and said the clean-up was impeccable.) This review is WAY OVERDUE. I cannot thank Parsley Sage Rosemary & Thyme for making my daughter and son in-laws Covid wedding perfect! I worked with Kreshana who is absolutely delightful, major attention to detail and so quick to respond to any questions that I had. At the very last minute we knew that we were not going to be able to have the wine country wedding that was originally planned so we switched about 8 weeks prior to the wedding date to having it at home. Literally, one face to face meeting for about an hour, one on site visit, a handful of telephone calls and a few rounds of emails and we had the most beautiful, effortless, delicious, fun, painless weddings we could have imagined. The entire staff was wonderful. Their quality and selection of food is above par. Their equipment rentals were in perfect condition. I cannot emphasis how easy it was to "plan" this wedding with them. You can't imagine the stuff that was set up behind the scenes that we never even had to think about. It all just shows up. What I found most impressive is that they were willing, but cautious, about working with us during October of 2020 during the pandemic. I have worked on many large events and I will say that they are extremely fair with their pricing. I do not have one regret with the choice to hire them for this very important lifetime event. This is mainly a food / attended-an-event-that-they-catered review. This company catered a rooftop event earlier this month. They set up a bunch of tables with chairs, plus standing tables. There were some tables with parasols, and other areas were covered by natural shading that was present. I was most interested in the food, which was available at no cost thanks to someone else footing the bill. There was a nice salad with a not-too-sweet dressing, two paella options for vegetarians and normal folks, and an interesting bread salad. Vince, the chef, was nice enough to talk to me about how it was inspired by the Italian panzanella but was based on the flavors of a Spanish gazpacho instead. Meghan and PRST has been more than excellent for us thus far. Our wedding is in June 2011 and Meghan has been extremely helpful. Our first meeting was at our local coffee shop. She let us pick where we can meet her. She was totally pregnant and cute. We had a pretty good idea of what kind of food we wanted for our dinner but she had such awesome recommendations as well. Meghan is totally personable and is always prompt with emails. That's definitely a plus for me because I hate it when I'm waiting for an email reply for more than a day. The food tasting night was awesome. Since we booked early and their San Jose location was under construction, we were invited to the owner's house for dinner!!! Which was super amazing. We had our own dinner trial with Meghan and the owner. The food was really excellent so we were relieved because we already put down the deposit. Chelsea and PSRT just catered our wedding and they stole the show. It's weeks later and people are still talking about how great the food was. In fact, a bunch of our family spent the majority of Thanksgiving arguing over what the best part of our wedding was: Mac n' Cheese! No, it was the fig crostini! No, the butternut squash soup! Simply put: The food is excellent. As anyone who has planned a wedding knows, the taste of the food isn't the only thing that matters. Quantity (bang for your buck), flexibility, and attitude matter just as much. PSRT kills it on all of these counts too. PSRT originally got my attention because they offered more for the money (Homemade specialty drinks anyone? Have the berry lemonade!). Then once we got into the planning of our dinner, Chelsea and team went out of their way to make sure I got the presentation I was looking for. It was important to me to have an event that wasn't over-the-top but was fun, classy and different. That meant finding specialty linens and unique presentation for some of our food. After trying multiple party rental places that didn't have what I wanted, Chelsea found someone to make the linens I was looking for! She also made sure we got our favorite food in a classy presentation: mac 'n cheese in martini glasses. Even on game day, she surprised us with special twisty champagne flutes that matched our decor perfectly and added the touch of whimsy I had been looking for. Most importantly, the team there is super accommodating and helpful when it counts. On our wedding day, I had lost my voice and Chelsea and PSRT kept a hot tea with honey and lemon by my side the whole day until I could get through the vows. It looks like a lot of the Yelp reviews are for wedding services, which I'm sure are amazing, but I'm giving PSRT a 5-star recommendation for being the best caterers for professional corporate events. We've used PSRT for events ranging from a 300-person gala dinner to a 1,300-person paella buffet. They've also done smaller cocktail-type events for us, and we're thinking about booking one of their delicious lunch trucks for an event later this year. There is no one as good as PSRT. After reading many reviews, tasting PSRT bites at a few Yelp events and calling a few caterers, we decided to have PSRT cater our one year anniversary party. -1 star for not being able to taste what we wanted to serve. One suggestion--have a monthly "tasting" event where people can come and try the different sides and entrees before making a decision. Have it at one of the venues that recommends you to their customers. That said, working with PSRT was pretty great. Our event manager was amiable and professional and gave some good inputs. We met once to decide on table layout, colors and setup on site. After that, I liked the convenience of phone and emails. We chose some very tasty items for our menu, but I must say the Chicken Paella cooked from scratch in front of you was the highlight of dinner. Both entertaining and delicious with tons of leftovers--it was so worth the money and made our party a real hit. I would definitely have these people cater another party in the future. read more

PSRT knocked our socks off before we even went for a tasting. Our event manager Meghan was a delight to work with. She was hands-on and always ready to assist at our event. The staff was proactive to the fullest. Every staff person at the event was a super professional and very responsive. They worked so well together. I love well-run and organized events. First time I experienced PSRT was at Vince's brother's wedding looooong time ago. Usually at weddings you get the "rubber" chicken or jerky chicken and the food is mediocre at best. We had PSRT take care of all the rental tables, chairs, and linens. I work for a University as an event planner and donor stewardship coordinator. We have been using PSRT for our premier donor events for the past 3 years and they continue to go above and beyond their contractual agreements. Anybody who does event planning will tell you, problems happen. Issues will occur, but what matters is how you react to them. PSRT and their staff were flexible when last minute changes to the contract were needed, and they were more than professional during the event. They brought glassware just in case some was not provided by the venue and of course, we ended up needing it. I had a small surprise dinner in our backyard for my husband's birthday with our family. I called PSRT and spoke with Erika. She listened to what I wanted and provided wonderful choices for the dinner working within my budget. Tony was our chef and he was absolutely wonderful!! He even parked his van around the block after he unloaded to help ensure my husband was surprised. Tony wore a mask and gloves the whole time and we followed physical distance guidelines. I am finally getting around to writing our review of wedding services. PSRT was one of the first caterers we worked with. I saw all of the fabulous reviews on Yelp and was sold. What I liked most about PSRT was their ability to handle a remote venue (county park) with their remote kitchen setup. I was frustrated that we were not allowed to taste prior to putting down a deposit. Planning a wedding is stressful enough without having a tasting prior. We were wiling, and offered to pay or the tasting first. Unfortunately, it was not their policy. They will return the money if you cancel by 6 months prior, but we were 5 months from the wedding. . I had feedback from a friend who knows their work from fundraisers, and said it was just average, but we were assured by PSRT that it was due to budgetary constraints of nonprofits to keep costs down (which impacted quality). Besides, I loved the organizational skills of the coordinator, Heather, and really wanted someone who could manage a remote venue. We had budget. So, we took a leap of faith and hired them. Once we put a deposit down, we were invited to the owners home for a tasting. She was very gracious and enjoyable to be around. The staff service at her house was amazing. Unfortunately, the food was just average to slightly below. Some dishes too salty, some lacked flavor. We are foodies and food is very important to us. I went home and mulled it over, and followed up with an email to the owner. She agreed that the tasting wasn't their best work and invited us to an event they were hosting. Again Heather was there, very organized and helpful. The food again was just average at best. We wanted more than average, we wanted memorable for our wedding. So, we discussed with Heather who spoke with the owner and they agreed to let us out of the contract, which was very nice. We did give them some money as we felt we had tasted and it was only fair. If only we could have paid for a tasting ahead of time we would have eliminated quite a bit of stress. I think reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt, and everyone's palate is unique, but if you like 4 star and Michelin rated restaurants as well as super yummy holes in the wall, the food will disappoint. If you really care about service and organization, and not so much about the food being exceptional, PSRT might be for you. I don't give 3-star here because it says A-ok and the food wasn't average. The service and coordination was above average from what we could see at the event we went to. We ended up with Le Papillon (see review). The best choice we could have made for our palate. read more

Hands down the best decision my (now) husband and I made was hiring PSRT for our wedding this past June!!!!! We are people who LOVE food and we weren't disappointed. While we did tastings and received bids from multiple caterers, we actually had the discussion of "how drastically lower would a bid need to be for us NOT to hire PSRT?!" and believe me budget was a BIG issue with us. Fortunately for us (and our budget) their bid was very competitive. Everything about this company was outstanding; from our first meeting with Meghan (coordinator), to the food, service staff and the breakdown and finishing of our event. They not only met our expectations they smoked right on by and exceeded them one hundred fold. Meghan was a true gem...I can not say enough good things about her and the way she handled our wedding. We hired PSRT to cater our wedding reception. The party was held in a park and they had no problem with that. The food was amazing (everyone RAVED about their coconut prawns) and everything went very smoothly. They helped with the decorations and it all looked great. It was a warm day and we did run out of drinks towards the end, but that was the only thing that was less than perfect. Regarding the cost, PSRT was in the same ballpark as a couple of other caterers that I contacted, so their prices aren't above and beyond what you'd find elsewhere.
