Time to Order: 7 Minutes with no line Partea's is an unassuming boba shop tucked away into a back corner of Dun Huang Plaza. I walked over after parking nearby. Inside, it's actually quite modern. There are photo booths (for a fee) and some tables. Only one person was working when I was there. I ordered a white peach oolong tea with 30% sugar, less ice, with boba. If I didn't know any better, I would swear that they are using a syrup or flavored sweetener. This was one of the most intense peach flavored oolong teas I've ever had. I let my friends taste and they all agreed. I sampled their Vietnamese coffee as well, which is quite a generous serving for the price, and very roasty. We miss Prestotea very badly, but we're glad that it has continued the tradition of making fresh tea every time you order it, and tastes just as good as ever. Partea may, in fact, have some of the best Milk Teas you'll ever taste. Easily the best little family owned independent Taiwan-style Boba shop in town, along with TeaFix, and one which you should come and give your business to on a regular basis. All their products are very good but I definitely recommend the milk teas especially. They can sometimes close a little bit earlier than posted, and their hours are pretty limited, but overall they're just a fantastic place to come and get drinks, as well as being comfy, clean, bright, cute, and usually having plenty of parking nearby. We're thrilled to have them in Houston to go with the amazing collection of other Boba shops that we are spoiled with in these parts. It's definitely one of my top 5 favourites that I've been to in this Boba-rich area, and we will be regular customers, especially for the delicious Ceylon milk tea which has one of the nicest, subtlest, and not too sweet flavors of any milk tea I've had. It's a little bit hidden away next to the Hilton Garden Inn right beside Gerry's Grill, but it makes it easy to access from the Sam Houston Parkway if you're heading north and hopefully people will flock over here and enjoy it as much as we do. I rarely turn this way to go to Dun Huang Plaza. First time I noticed Partea's House was after a piece of land in front of Hilton Garden Inn got fenced in. I had to stop and look at the sign. Ah, a giant business and residential building is coming soon. When I turned around to get into my car, I saw the name of this boba tea joint changed. I was glad Pressotea got replaced. I came to get something soothing for my tummy after eating fiercely food at Beltway 8 BBQ. I saw Purple Milk Tea sign smiling at me. I asked to replace red beans with aloe vera, low sugar and half ice. The drink came out so delicious. Ube dressed up the cup. I tasted Japanese tea faintly in the background. It was a little pricey for me but it was worth every drop. The restaurant is really clean and inviting. They got some picnic tables outside, great for those enjoying outdoor and accompanied by fur babies. Did someone say karaoke? I'm coming back to check it out. read more

This location is hidden in the Chinatown area & honestly it's not the best spot to have a tea house if you want it popping. It use to be Presotea & now it's Partea's house. The decor was cute, the place was clean & Ann was very knowledgeable, kind & patient because I took forever to pick a drink. Here's what I ordered. * Signature Milk Tea with crème brûlée- Amazing is one word I can describe this drink. Nice balance of sweetness along with the crème brûlée which uplifted the drink. I was told that the brûlée was made in house & I don't doubt it. It was more rich than what I get at other boba spots, just wish they would've gave me more. 4.6/5 * Passion fruit green tea- it was refreshing, it also had a nice tartness from the passion fruit & I definitely tasted the tea as well. 4.5/5 Overall, it was a great experience. This cozy little place opened just a few months ago, located around the block from Dunhuang Plaza, the Mecca of boba shops in the area. It is a bit hidden from the tollway, but that means you don't need to fight for parking, like you would if you went to Dunhuang during busy hours. The decor is welcoming and open with fake plants galore. Three people were there with their laptops open on a Sunday afternoon, so it's work friendly. There are games and books (English, Vietnamese) that encourage people to linger - not to mention a karaoke station. Staff was friendly and helpful, though there was a slight hiccup with the machine that "stamps" the plastic film over the boba cups. They had a pretty diverse menu so I went off their featured items and got... - Purple milk tea: this was definitely made with a roasted tea and is taro (or ube?) based with red beans. I normally don't like beans but I decided to step out of the box. I didn't make any adjustments with sugar or ice levels (mainly because I forgot) and it was very subtly sweet. I liked it and the splashes of purple were pretty. The flavors were apparent, so that's a plus, with the tea at the forefront. - Demon Black Sugar Milk Tea: this is their standard milk tea with brown sugar and 3 or 4 "sinkers" including boba. I enjoyed the textural difference and surprise with each mouthful. This was definitely sweeter than the purple milk tea but not overly so, despite not changing the sugar/ice levels. This was probably the overall winner in the family. They also serve fruit teas, drinks with sea salt topping, regular tea, coffee based drinks, and smoothies so there's quite a bit to choose from. I'd probably need another visit to really get a good idea of what they offer. In addition, there's a little section of baked goods and desserts (crepe cakes, French macarons) to choose from. My initial impression? It's a lovely place off to the side; relatively quiet (as long as no one is using the karaoke machine, lol) and perfect for hanging out or getting some things done. I enjoyed how the tea flavors popped; I believe they are fresh so they have that going for them. Pricing is standard but depending on what you get, you're looking at roughly $5 a cup on average, so not the cheapest, but not horrible either. We had a chance to try this milk tea shop this past week! The shop is a bit tucked away from the bustling side of Chinatown, but it's right next to Gerry's Restaurant and very close to the Dun Huang Plaza. We were able to try the Purple Milktea (Ube & red bean) and Mango Cloud (smoothie). The sweetness was great with 50% for the milktea, in my opinion. And the Ube and Red bean were a nice combination as well. My friend liked his mango smoothie too. I'd recommend to try this new boba place! Their wintermelon tea was so good, i basically inhaled it in one gulp. The boba is also good, nice and soft. They have some seating inside and outside as well, including some games available to play. It's kind of tucked away from the busy section of Chinatown, so this is a great option if that's what you're looking for. I came here to try the Purple Milk Tea after seeing it on Instagram. Partea replaced Presotea. It's really cute and clean inside with plenty of seating. The lady at the register was very nice and explained to me what was in it. It was milk, ube drizzled along the side of the cup, and red bean on the bottom. You'd expect with all the purple that it would taste like ube milk but no, just watery milk. I used my straw and scraped the ube off the sides of the cup and tried to stir it into the milk but the flavor was not strong at all. The red bean at the bottom wasn't sweet and was just a little bit. I might come back to try a different drink but this Purple Milk Tea was looks only, no taste. And for $6.50 it's more expensive than other spots for sure. read more

This is a hidden bubble shop. Our office decided to order some bubble drinks from them for lunch. I got recommended for the Purple Milk Tea. It's Genmaicha Milktea with ube and redbean. It's so delicious. The sweetness is just right. Even though I didn't ask for less sugar. My co-worker tried the White Peach Oolong hot tea. We all could smell the tea since she opened the lid.
