Polish combo (i chose cabbage roll, not city chicken)
    Tara K.

It's been over 20 years since I've been to Steve's. My family stopped in on a Saturday around 4pm. Service was a bit slow, but she was very nice. There was a large dining room, that seemed clean and bright. I ordered the Polish combo which had a cabbage roll, 3 pierogies, and kielbasa & kraut. The pierogies were the best part of the combo, the cabbage roll was decent and the kielbasa was just ok. We also ordered potato pancakes for the table, that was the best thing we had, and I would order that again. My sister ordered a hot beef sandwich, she liked it. My nephews ordered a burger and wings dings, they seemed to enjoy those. We also ordered food to go. I ordered a quart of dill pickle soup, it was very good. I do enjoy the bread basket that is brought to the table.

Went for dinner on a Monday night, and it was packed which is always a good sign. Very homey feel with plenty of comfort food. The chicken and dumpling soup was delicious. I also had the special, beef stew. The meat was very tender. Can't wait to try more.

I love Steve's. Great Polish and American food and it is a terrific value. Gulnaz (sp?) was my server and she is a rockstar. I ordered my toast dry. She entered my order correctly. The kitchen screwed up ... and Gulnaz noticed the mistake. She delivered my omelette still piping hot and promised the toast would arrive shortly - and it did. Too often servers do not sufficiently QA the order and disappoint, but not Gulnaz.

    10-16-25 Meatloaf. I don't recommend.

10-16-25 Tried the meatloaf. I was not overly impressed. Why is it difficult to find a good meatloaf?

City chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, kapusta, and stuffed cabbage. Outstanding!

Another great meal! Huge bowl of dill pickle soup, city chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. I did not take a pic since that is what I had and took a pic of last time (minus the outstanding stuffed cabbage). Great value meal!

Polish combo with mashed potatoes instead of kraut

I came here with some friends for lunch after church. For my meal, I ordered the Polish combo, with came with a choice of stuffed cabbage or city chicken; kielbasa; pierogies; and sauerkraut. I don't like sauerkraut, so I was thankful that I could get the mashed potatoes instead. They were smooth, creamy, and flavorful. The pierogies were crispy, tasting fresh and homemade. Again, since I don't like kraut, I was able to stick with just potato and cheese pierogies. The kielbasa had a good smoky flavor and wasn't too salty. The one bad part of my meal was the city chicken. It was dry and pink (but definitely fully cooked) chicken that looks like the stuff in Campbell's chicken noodle soup, lumped together on a skewer. The gravy made it better, but I regret not trying the stuffed cabbage instead. I tried my friend's fries. They were very crispy on the outside (they appeared to be dipped in batter before frying) and soft on the inside. Our waitress was friendly and helpful - she brought us extra napkins and refilled our water. She asked how everything was and if we needed anything else. I know restaurants have a unique and unprecedented challenge operating during COVID, but this restaurant ran things smoothly. I'd definitely like to come back in the future!

Excellent! Stuffed cabbage, sauerkraut, pierogies and smoked kielbasa

They offer everything from sandwiches and breakfast to traditional Polish dishes. My wife ordered the grilled chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, squash, and a side salad. The grilled chicken was really good, not your average diner chicken. I ordered a Cobb salad and it was super yummy and filling. Everything was very fresh and definitely homemade. I wish I would have written down my waitresses name, because she was spunky and amazing. We will definitely be back. If you roll through Livonia, stop in.

I ordered a sandwich with French Onion Soup (up charge of 2.99). The soup was very good - great flavor, cheesy and not too salty. My sandwich, Stevie's Wonder, was also very good. The Chargrilled chicken was tender and juicy. It was topped with bacon, Monterey Jack cheese and honey mustard on a brioche bun. I would order both these items again. My service was good from start to finish. My only complaint about this entire experience was the cost - just under $19 for soup and a sandwich. Lucky for me, the gift certificate covered it all.

I should've looked at the inside pictures more. My bad. :( The woman that runs a shop is sweet and friendly and helpful. She does events for the local kids and veterans. She also has classes for date nights and other events, for anyone that wants to learn how to make pierogi. The pierogi are all frozen, order and pay at the front counter. All orders are bagged. A small sheet of paper to give instructions on how to cook the pierogies in a pan with some butter. Suggested to eat with some sautéed onions and or sour cream for some. I got the chicken pot pie, the mushroom and mozzarella, cheddar, the potato and garlic, sauerkraut and mushroom, sauerkraut and onion. $87.04 The chicken pot pie comes with gravy and some crumbs to put on top. They have 25 different flavors, however, they were out of many and sold out , especof all the extra fellas. We cooked up the pierogi, sautéed some onions, kielbasa, kraut. We ate the potato and mushroom and mozzarella pierogi with the onions, cream cheese or sour cream. Pierogi took about 6-8 minutes on medium heat on the stovetop to brown some. The mushroom wasn't my favorite, as the mushrooms would gush out some water from it, was a rather unexpected experience, not for me. The mushroom and cheese were decent. The kraut and onion and the chicken pot pie fell apart somewhat during the cooking and flipping for us. The potatoes were as expected, not too bad.

Homemade pierogies, Glumpki (soelling?), including the sauce. Awesome sauerkraut and two types of sausage, although I do prefer the smoked, both go great when dipped into a horseradish mustard sauce that they give to us upon request. I'm not a big potato pancake person, but it was homemade and prepared correctly. I also grabbed a side salad and it's not cheap iceberg salad, rather a nice variety of greens. They even catered to me when I asked for extra dressing because I like to drown my salad! I got a couple of Polish beers and they have a nice bourbon selection. My wife wasn't feeling Polish food, so she got the pork chops, which smelled great and she said were delicious. Two large cuts, right off the grill, and a bunch of sides. No complaints!
