I'm such a huge fan of this place. The pies are great. I'm crazy about their quiches, especially when they have chorizo available. BUT my absolute favorite are the chocolate brownies. These are the best brownies in town by far...and yes I've had the famous local ones

I stopped By this adorable place Friday at 240pm (on a whim and 20 min prior to closing) and love the concept. A homemade pie is always much appreciated in my tummy any day. The place is on the corner of a busy intersection so Parking is in the back of the establishment. I love the mural in the back. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out. Handicap friendly. Inside is nice and cool, very old school diner like and you immediately get greeted for help and the gal was super sweet and answered my questions despite being 15 min shy of closing the place. I was saddened by the pie shortage so this speaks volumes of this place already and totally understandable being close to closing. Banana cream and their weekly special, berry sugar cream was available alongside broccoli and veggie quiche for the savory. I got the berry and veggie and took it to go. I had the veggie quiche for supper. Yummy! It was chock full of fresh veggies. I,then, ate the berry cream for dessert and it was very good! I love the buttery crust (no artificial taste at all, they don't use shortening). The berries were fresh and the sugar cream was great. It reminded me of an Indiana sugar cream pie with berries on top. It took me back to my childhood days when my grandmother made a pie like this. Ahh! shucks, that impresses me because this is good pie, folks. Not store bought pie (no offense intended but hopefully you get what I'm saying here). Yes, definitely check this place out if you got a soft spot for pie like I do. You really won't regret it. I can't wait to go back and try the other fruit pies.

A delightful local spot for PIE! Also available are coffee, quiche and brownies. You can order a whole pie. There are weekly pies with seasonal offerings. They close by 3 most days and noon on Saturday. If they sell out, they close early that day. Hint, get there early if there's a special item you really want.

This place has been our go to for quiche brunches and cherry pie. They sell out quickly (after eating them it's obvious why ) so Inrecommend placing an order to make sure you can get a whole quiche. We have had incredible customer service and the shop is clean and cute!

Tried our second pie today. On our first and only visit i bought 2 pies. Yesterday we tried the butterscotch cream and i wrote a review .. have to say none of us were impressed. We gave the other half away since we didnt like it. We all felt was lacking in flavor. Didnt taste like butterscotch. Today we tried the second pie and it was a world better. The chocolate pie was delightful rich and sweet. We all loved it. Based on this pie i would come here again to get the chocolate again and try something else ..another pie, quich, ect. In all fairness cant say either pie was better than that of mahaffeys in Dayton.

YUM, my boyfriend bought a 'buckeye' pie from Partial to Pie and I loved it! I have been meaning to try this place out for the longest time. We love fresh, homemade with love desserts and that is exactly what this place offers up to its customers. While I wish they had extended evening hours so it would be easier for me to access while working my 9-5, this was still a very special treat and a fun local Dayton spot to experience :)

I came for the apple crumb and coconut crème. The apple crumb was sold out. I got the chocolate pie instead. As pictured the slice had a hair on it. The coconut crème is pretty good. The crust is nice. I also tried the baklava, but it wasn't that great .

We took a quick trip from columbus to Dayton and were instantly impressed. This is definitely a cafe that loves its city and features many locally made wares. We got the garlic cream cheese danish, the Kellie pie danish, the orange monkey bread, and the buttered croissant. My only problem was that the croissant was covered in a brushing of sugar syrup and it would have been nice for it to just be a butter croissant. It was still delicious and perfectly fine just wish it would have been named more appropriately:) Staff are efficient but kind as there is always a line out the door. We were lucky to still grab some seats inside on a hot day; however, there is well shaded seating outside as well. 4 pastries are a lot for 2 people so we could not try any more. After I chose a seat, they brought out my breakfast croissant on a paper plate. I wish the cheese was melted, but the sandwich was really good. The croissant was impressive-it tasted like I was back in Paris. It just felt like I was in my hotel lobby having breakfast with all the paper products. I opted for an assortment of to go pastries to try--almond croissant, lemon blueberry scone, and coffee cake. They were all pretty delicious, except the scone. The coffee cake was the best. The husband-and-wife team behind Grist has created one of the most inventive pasta menus you'll find anywhere. It's casual--you order at the counter--but don't mistake that for ordinary dining. We started with the rosemary Parmesan focaccia and the cow's milk burrata. Both were excellent. The focaccia was simple, fresh, and perfectly executed, while the burrata was an absolute standout. For our entrées, we had the Mafalda al Agnello, Raviolo al'Uovo, Spring Pea Agnolotti, and Tonnarelli di Mare. Every pasta was handmade and beautifully prepared. The Mafalda stole the show, with wide, ruffled ribbons coated in an incredible braised lamb sauce. The Raviolo al'Uovo was unlike anything I've had before--a single oversized raviolo with remarkable flavor and a presentation that was as memorable as it was delicious. Grist is proof that great dining doesn't require white tablecloths. It simply requires talented people making exceptional food. We couldn't recommend it more.

So we just walked in, and the host was kind enough to let us sit at the little bar area near the window. I like their ordering system. You have many options --- go up to the cash register and order there, order from the server who comes by your table (or in our case, bar), or use your phone by scanning the QR code. And if you use your phone, each person in your party can do it themselves on their own phone. Regardless, it all gets added to the same order for the same table. Pretty slick. At the end, when it comes time to pay, the app lets you split the check however you want, and you can even see the name of the person that ordered each item. The food was incredible. It's not cheap, and the portions are a little smaller than some might expect at an Italian restaurant. But for us, it was filling enough. I personally had the raviolo, which was delicious. Little did I know that in Italian, "raviolo" is singular while "ravioli" is plural. So I got one giant raviolo on my plate (see picture). I didn't care much for the runny egg yolk on top, but it was as advertised on the menu. All the other food orders were amazing, especially the desserts. I'd definitely come back once my food budget resets.

I don't really care for sweets (I even recycle Halloween candy from year to year!), but I dream of Ele's white cake with butter cream frosting. Last week I threw a party - I ordered the cake online on Wednesday for a Saturday pickup. The website is really easy to navigate and allows you to customize your cake. As this was a landmark birthday party, we wanted all black and gray frosting - weird, I know, but it came out perfectly (and was actually very pretty). I arrived on Saturday an hour before I had stated in my order, the cake was ready, and since you can pay online too, I was in and out in 90 seconds. Now, at the end of a grown-up birthday party, you're usually putting the extra cake back in the box and counting the days until the frosting is hard enough to throw the leftovers away and you don't have to feel like you're wasting food. Or is that just me? Regardless, at the end of this party, there wasn't a crumb left (anticipating this, I had already put a generous sized slice in tupperware during the Passing of the Cake Plates cake-cutting ritual - heheheh). I once drove through a massive snowstorm to get one of their cakes (for a party being thrown for me, in fact), because, although the roads were treacherous, they were open for business, my friends are apparently timid drivers, and the cake really is THAT good.
