"This is the level of care you paid for" Seemed nice at first, but the whole thing was very money-centric. There was no "let's get your animal better feeling. They told us that he was being playful and had us feeling like our pup was doing better. They gave him fluids and then some medicine to take home. His issue did not get better, but have gotten worse and when I called to get an update on what we should do next and was told I would receive a call back. They called my fiance and she expressed our mutual frustration. And was told "this is the level of care you paid for". I'm sorry. If you take your kid to the er and all you can afford is a set amount and they do no more than that to help him feel better. How can they say they care about our pets when it feels like the employees may care but the business does not. Would not recommend to anyone. *Update* still have not heard anything back from partners regarding this matter. We got our pup into another vet and found out his kidney numbers are through the roof. I brought in a cat on Saturday June 27th and picked him up the following Monday afternoon. Staff and doctors were great. The cat survived and is doing well. My problem is with the cost. Nearly 4000 dollars. I know emergency vets are expensive because I had just left one. They charged about 900 and sent me to this vet. I declined the recommended surgery to amputate the rear leg and took my cat to Village Vet in Amelia. Partner quoted around 4200 for the surgery, Village had him Monday through Friday and did the surgery for 1400 (500 dollars under the estimate given) with everything else included in this price. It seems the vet at Village cares about animals instead of how money they can make off of each customer. They are blatantly taking advantage of people in a desperate situation. I thought about filing a complaint with someone but what's done is done. Never again. Avoid this place at all costs! I did call the emergency vet and told them they should stop sending people here. My 3 legged cat is doing well. read more

We want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone at Partner Veterinary for the incredible care they gave our beloved Bodhi. Just weeks after losing our 13-year-old yellow Lab, Waylon, in July 2025, Bodhi--who grew up with Waylon--began showing signs of sadness and developed an ear infection. Though his initial treatment went well, we noticed he still wasn't himself, which led us to request further tests before a planned trip. That's when we received the devastating news that Bodhi had spleen cancer. From that moment, everything moved quickly. Bodhi was admitted to the ER and then ICU, where he stayed for several days. It was an emotional rollercoaster, but the kindness and compassion shown by every staff member--from the front desk to the ICU--helped us through it. Special thanks to Dr. Pierre, who cared for Bodhi daily with extraordinary patience and empathy. Knowing Bodhi was clean, comfortable, and treated with such love made it easier to leave him, even though it broke our hearts. On August 30, 2025, we said goodbye to our sweet boy. As much as we hoped to bring him home, we know he was in the best place possible--receiving the care he needed, including medication during a seizure that we couldn't have managed on our own. Bodhi fought hard, but in the end, he let us know it was time. We told him how deeply we loved him and that it was okay to go be with Waylon. Losing both our boys so close together has been unbearable, but we take comfort in knowing we did everything we could--and that's thanks to the exceptional support and care we received. While I hope we never have to visit an emergency vet again, the treatment we received was wonderful. At 5 am on Sunday morning we had to make a quick decision where to bring our pup, Finnegan, who was struggling to breathe. After calling another clinic and being told they didn't have staff available, we tried Partner Vet. We were preregistered over the phone and after a painful 30 minute drive arrived and he was quickly rushed back by staff. After 30-minutes, the vet brought us into a private room to discuss the plan of care. We already had an appointment with a internal specialist for his breathing issues two days later, so instead of running a bunch of tests the vet suggested we take him home and gave us some medication to keep him comfortable until then. The visit was a quarter of what we were expecting to pay. I would have paid for every test but he knew had an expensive journey ahead. I brought in a cat that became very suddenly sick. He actually passed during the trip. The staff took him back immediately, as I am crying, and asked if I wanted to initiate resuscitation. I said yes and they escorted me to the comfort room. The vet came in within minutes and told me he did not have a heartbeat on arrival and thought he was experiencing a blood clot that traveled to his heart. He asked if I wanted to resuscitate and again I said yes. He told me he would be back in about 20 minutes. He came back looking sad and said my poor boy didn't make it. I went to check out and they changed me 1009.00$. The cat was there less than 40 minutes and died. I feel like they threw salt into my grieving heart. My beloved dog spent her final days in the care of Partner Veterinary on Three Chopt Road. The staff were so kind and professional. They thoroughly evaluated my dog and did everything in their power to help her. I was blown away that, not only did they have an ICU, it was basically as large and fully equipped as I've seen in modern hospitals for people. They placed my dog in a special oxygen room that had special holes that I could pet her through. They did ultrasounds, EKGs, drained fluid from the sac around her heart, and had nurses watching her 24/7. They have a cardiology unit--CVCA--in the same building so that my dog could be evaluated by a specialist without being transported anywhere. The building is very new, clean, and well-stocked with high-end equipment and staff to give animals the highest level of care when they need it the most. Should any of my pets ever need emergency care, I will return with full confidence in the staff and their expertise. I highly recommend. read more

Horrible "Emergency Veterinary" Horribly ran. We arrived around 12:10AM Sunday 7/20. We were checked in and put in a room to see the doctor. We waited.... and waited. We could hear them putting others in different examining rooms... THAT THEY WERE TAKING CARE OF!! After waiting an 1:15 we walked up to the front and told the receptionist we were leaving. That we were forgotten about. She then offered to get someone to see us. They weren't even busy. If they couldn't even remember that we were in a room... I had a pretty great experience here - My dog had a major accident on Saturday and tore her ACL. I brought her to Partner and we were very well taken care of and knew the next steps of our journey before we left with pain meds, an anti-inflammatory, and a referral. Not sure why the reviews are so up and down but I thought it was very quick for an "emergency" type of appointment and for a vet that didn't know my dog's history. He is normally standoffish towards all strangers but he actually was excited to see the nurses and walk back with them. And they came up with a plan and his issue was resolved by the next day! We called this so called 24 hr hospital and was told it would be a little wait to see our dog. I told them I was driving 25 miles away and they said I could wait ,but when I got there the person greeted me with an unconcerned attitude and informed me it would be 8-10hour wait. Take in mind only one car in the parking lot. Take in mind this was the third 24hr vet I contacted-one with a note on the door saying no more patients allowed- the second referred me to this one. I don't understand if you are going to advertise 24 vet service and then cannot staff for the need then why not close all together. What if a human hospital did this! I do not recommend this place to anyone. It is also wrong that I have to give it a star when in my opinion it deserves none. read more

I unfortunately am able to rate this business based on my experiences with them and my cats passing yesterday. We called and made an appointment early in the morning for 5pm, since they are by appointment only. The front desk employee, Matthew, was very prompt and got us in easily. Once we arrived for our appointment, we told him we were there for our 5pm and then we waited. We were taken into room 2 where Jessica came in and took some basic info and then took our cat, Ghibli, to the back to be examined. Not long after the vet, Dr. Perez, came in to speak with us and gave us the worst news - cancer. She went through our options thoroughly and then gave us some time to decide. We decided on putting him down since he was way more sick than we thought and we didn't want him to suffer. They gave us a nice sheet with urn options after we decided to cremate him and then we were taken to the "death room" to say goodbye. While we were waiting, Dr. Perez came in and said he actually started declining and may pass before they were able to bring him to us. This was, unfortunately, the case, and our sweet boy was gone before we got to see him again. We did get refunded for the euthanasia since he passed on his own. Overall, the facility is wonderful and the staff are all very kind and warm, and you can tell they care about pets and their families. read more

They are so kind, calm, empathetic, professional, compassionate, intelligent, efficient, I could go on forever. They helped my dog and were able to assess, diagnose, and treat her, and this was all right before and during their Christmas hours. Healthcare is expensive, and that certainly doesn't exclude veterinary care. You get what you pay for. I really appreciated how they showed me an itemized summary BEFORE they did any interventions, asked me about my budget, and made me feel literally zero judgment when I gave my answer. Also, CareCredit is a Godsend and the staff are very helpful in educating you about it if it's right for you. My baby is better, and even though they KNOW she's better and they (hopefully) will never see her again, they called to check on her! That being said, they are not a primary care vet. They will help you find a good primary care vet, though. And I trust them and their recommendations. read more

After calling four other urgent / emergency vet hospitals only to discover that they were full and not taking patients, I was referred to Partner Veterinary by one of the other facilities. I called on 10am on Sunday and was able to get an appointment for 1pm that day. My 10 month old goldendoodle was having stomach issues and had some blood when she did her business outside. The staff were all amazing - friendly, warm and helpful and took great care of my pup while they did an x ray and bloodwork to figure out her issue. They were transparent about pricing up front before performing the screenings. If I ever need an urgent care facility again, this is the place I will try first. read more

Dr Turner was so kind and compassionate with our Great Dane Dewey who had gone down hill so quickly due to several cardiac related issues. Dr. Weidman diagnosed and treated him initially and then along with Dr. Turner 5 days later during a 2 night stay at the facility. A few days later, he declined further and Dr Turner made room in her schedule (with no appointment) to see Dewey and give her recommendations. Although the hard decision has been made to let Dewey go later today, CVCA was great to work with to try and help my big boy. And the other staff at CVCA were so kind and helpful.
