10/10. The people were so nice and the food/coffee was the best I've had in a long time.

The Summary: I go here pretty often with my parents and the bakery sweets here are pretty good and it reminds them of the pastries in Venezuela (back when there was still a country by that name). Other food items are good as well, the service is nice, and the prices are not expensive. The Experience The pastries vary from good to excellent, depending on the day... of course you have to be lucky enough to get there when they are fresh, and there's not really a standard time for that, but the good thing is that they are never "bad". The staff is friendly and helpful and very patient, they serve a good cup of coffee (the espresso coffee, I have not tried the American drip coffee here). The Cuban sandwich is excellent, by the way. I'm not a fan of their empanadas: I've tried the beef and the chicken ones... and they're not bad, but nothing really to write home about (and if I had to chose, I'd stick to the chicken ones). Overall, a good place to go and treat yourself as long as you're not looking for anything fancy.

Love this bakery. Cutest real life love story too. First time trying this location and as always their on point with everything. I am a serious morning coffee needed girl. So every morning I have that caffeine craving. So stopping by only made sense. Now everytime I've come there's a line but a line is a sign that the wait is worth it. They are organized and have a full friendly staff so the wait goes by quickly. I always order the cafe con leche and the scrambled egg sandwich on cuban bread. It's always hot, soft, crispy, and just delicious. And of course coffee always on point. They have so many options available for breakfast from pastries, pastelitos, croquetta's, fresh hot baguette or cuban bread etc. They also have beautifully and delish decorated cakes for no any or no occassion..And don't forget the hot pressed sandwiches like the media niche or steak sandwich and just so much more. This bakery is the perfect local hangout spot for great eats, fresh juice, and my beloved coffee...come join the party!

I'm fairly new to this area so I've only been here like twice. But each time I've gone the food has been good and fresh. All the workers are nice, it does get packed so be prepared to wait a bit for your food. I've tried their cafe con leches, Cuban breads, pastelitos and pan de bonos. Today I tried their croissant breakfast sandwich and it was really good! It was very tasty and it was big. Definitely going back for my pastry cravings lol

We were happy to find this shop, but the pastries tasted store bought rather than bakery quality. The croissants weren't flaky, reminded me more of sub sandwich bread. The guava pastry had the same texure and was super duper sweet, couldn't taste the guava, just taste like sugar.

Both times about an hour before closing so the pastelitos aren't as fresh as they could be, but still really tasty.

Admittedly I was a little last minute so the fact Lola handled my request with such short turn around is amazing. Got my order on Tuesday for Saturday and was able to pull it off. A custom cake in the shape of a corgi butt. Yes weird request. However, the birthday girl loves corgis - and she loved the cake. Cookie dough with vanilla cake was an excellent flavor combo. It tastes even better the next day as i devoured everything that was left. Takes cookie butter mixed with butter cream for the filling. The cake was moist and delicious. Will certainly reach out again for another unique creation!

I rarely leave reviews, but after my experience at Lola The Baker in Miami, I felt it was…read moreabsolutely necessary. From start to finish, this was one of the most disappointing bakery visits I've ever had. First, the service was a complete disaster. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted at all. The staff behind the counter looked annoyed that I was even there, and when I finally got their attention, it felt like I was bothering them by asking questions about the pastries. No smiles, no customer service, just pure attitude. For a bakery that seems to market itself as "boutique" and "specialty," I expected a welcoming vibe and knowledgeable staff. Instead, it was cold and unprofessional. The display case looked nice from far away, but when I got closer, many of the pastries looked old, like they had been sitting out for hours--if not days. I ordered a few different items just to give them a fair chance, and honestly, none of them were good. The croissant was dense and greasy instead of light and flaky. The cake slice I tried was dry and tasted like it came out of a box. Even the coffee was bitter and watered down at the same time, which makes me wonder how you can mess up something that basic. To make matters worse, the prices are ridiculous for what you get. I don't mind paying extra for high quality, but this was nowhere near high quality. Charging premium prices for stale, poorly made pastries is insulting. When I politely asked about the freshness of the items, the staff brushed me off and gave me an attitude instead of answering honestly. Cleanliness was another issue. The tables were dirty, and nobody seemed in a rush to wipe them down. The bathroom (which I unfortunately had to use) was in terrible condition--dirty sink, no paper towels, and it smelled awful. That told me everything I needed to know about how much care they actually put into their business. The final straw was when they got my order wrong and acted like it was my fault. I ordered one item, they gave me another, and when I pointed it out, they argued with me instead of simply fixing it. No apology, no attempt to make it right. Just attitude. At that point, I decided it wasn't even worth fighting over. Overall, Lola The Baker was a complete letdown in every possible way: poor service, overpriced food, lack of cleanliness, and an overall unwelcoming atmosphere. There are so many amazing bakeries and cafés in Miami that actually care about their customers and serve fresh, delicious food--this place is absolutely not one of them. I will never return, and I strongly recommend that anyone looking for good pastries or a pleasant experience steer clear of this spot. Save your time, money, and patience, and go somewhere else.
