There's lots of things to be creative here. I love shopping here but having said that must things (costumes) are final sales and there hard to tell if they will fit or good quality. No issues with service provided when asking for particular items, but at the register must of the time is one person, and every one has more than just paying for items selected. The person at the balloon section is just standing there rather than helping at the cashier. It's hard to understand why she can't help if she is just standing or reading her tablet. Visited Party City just before 4th of July to search for a patriotic hat for my husband to wear in a local parade, and sure enough they had the perfect one! Happy to have this store nearby. Convenient, clean, reliable. I have also visited to order/pick up balloons for my kids parties without issue. The young gentleman who checked us out was super nice!! Wish I looked at his name tag. I've been meaning to write this review of party city and just haven't had the time! The service on march 6th was awesome. I went in looking for balloons to dazzle my bride of 30 years and just when I was about to give up a woman walked up and helped me pick out the balloons that I was looking for. This woman worked at party city but I did not get her name. I know that she was the one filling balloons when I walked in but the fact that she took the time to help me pick out and find the balloons I was looking for was amazing. Then after I picked them out I had to go pay first before I got them filled. The young lady that rung me up was prompt and very helpful, I believe she was the one responsible for the arrangement of my balloons and she even put a rush on the order so that I could get them in less than 45 min! She was an excellent representative for this store. All in all, I recommend this place for the balloon needs that you have excellent work! read more

Customer service is definitely lacking here. The manager needs more training or maybe a new job . She was rude. We had purchased our balloons a few days ahead of time. Called in to make sure they had time for us . We were told to come in . Went into the store to buy 4 balloons for my sons bday they tell me 30-40 min, I come back a hour later my balloons are still sitting on the balloon counter, the guy on the register sees me look at them, tells one of the employees to start them. She starts on 1 walks away. Goes and helps someone else. At that point I wanted my money back. But that was hard to do to! It just seemed like everyone at that store plus management didn't know how to handle any type of situation. I sure wasn't the only one waiting around. Called in looking for a boo basket. Said they had it online for pick up but I was skeptical. The associates looked for the product but couldn't find it and were honest about what they did have. It's too bad though- as their products do make children and families happy. There's a lot to understand, perhaps, it's tough to go to work and help people jump start their parties. I ordered Balloons for my daughters birthday in person & paid for them a day before and asked for a 1:00 pick up. I even received a pick up confirmation email so I thought it was safe to pick up my cake, then balloons then go to party venue. Arrived and they had no idea about the order so I showed my receipt & email. They completely lost the order & balloons I picked out???? I couldn't let the cake melt in the car so I had to leave. Instead of daughter learning about balloons that floats she gets a non helium balloons. I had to tie it from a ceiling fan. She doesn't give any attention to it all. The good: Went in to get balloons filled, and ended up spending about $50.00 on "impulse" items. This was my first time in a Party City so I wasn't sure how things worked. I was told my order would be ready in about an hour, and I was a little ticked off at first, but the staff was so pleasant and helpful, I quickly got over it. And, the selection of party stuff was amazing. I will definitely be going back there for all of my party needs, and to buy candy....what a phenomenal selection. The bad: Before I even walked in, a mask czar was telling a family that they needed to wear a mask or would not be able to come in. They also had a "stand in this line to wait for the cashier" Nazi. Those things alone would definitely turn me off, and had it been a restaurant, I would have immediately left and found another place. Again, the staff's "niceness" made me get over it quickly. I have been to this location several times for different events, I have also been helped by multiple employees. However at my most recent visit Gisele went above went above & beyond to help me, she had so many patients with me and my crazy kids! She took the time to explain things to me and find the right products, she even introduced new products to me and the kids. I was always skeptical about this location, due to the lack of attention from the employees and their knowledge especially when it comes to balloons and customer service but Giselle blew everyone out of the water. How does it make sense to offer blowing up balloons for someone you just helped, but you take an unnecessarily long time to do it? Not only that but decide to help other customers and not ask another associate to take over so the people waiting for balloons don't have to wait 30 minutes to get 8 balloons. Absolutely horrible Customer service. I've been shopping there constantly for over 15 years, never again. You're better off ordering from Amazon! The manager here does not promote customer service whatsoever. None of the staff greets the customers, they all walk around with chips on their shoulder and definitely lack sharp business acumen. I've run teams at SpaceX and Tesla and can tell a good manager when I see one, she is NOT her. I also asked her to blow up 2 small balloons for Mother's Day and she told me she can blow up one, but not 2 balloons, the weakest brains, also had an attitude the whole time. Customers should have to tolerate such low level disrespect. I'd challenge the management team if there is one to pay attention to weak staff and adjust as necessary. Tried to return wig because the color wasn't correct. They denied it due to it being a Halloween sale even though I returned it before Halloween. Since I couldn't return, I decided to try it. I opened it and it was very matted and tangled as if someone else had worn it already. I tried styling the wig and my hands turned black. After that I threw it away. I'm not messing with random black stuff on a wig. Here's my stained hands after washing ten times. I got most of it off. But no product should have strange substances coming off of it. Also, the wig was $25. I've seen better wigs at Target for $6. My mistake I should have done more research. But consider before you buy here or you will end up like me. read more

Price tag was wrong on the shelf. When I notified the staff (Giselle, wore dark green polo shirts with glasses), she didn't apologize the mistake that they made for the misleading price tag. She was very indifferent stating that she must charge me the higher price that showed up on the register. A nationwide store like this, they always adjust the price for the customer due to the error, misleading and false advertisement on their part. I just feel that this lady didn't want to do the work. I was planning to go back to this store for my son's birthday but I changed my mind after this incident. I hope someone from the corporate can train their employees to make sure price tags are reflected the correct price; if it's not, better customer service overall. Not sure why this place has such negative reviews. I found the staff incredibly helpful, the store clean and easy to navigate. I found exactly what I needed in a very short time. They also told me what the wait time would be exactly if I needed anything more than two balloons (that would take more time) I would suggest if you have something coming up order it before hand to call ahead of time and make sure because they do seem quite busy in the mornings. read more

I've usually had a pleasant experience here but tonight I went in there at 7:30 and had 8 balloons that I wanted to purchase and the woman at the counter told me I could only get 5 with air because they're closing at 8pm and have to limit how much air per person. Then 15 minutes later tells another gentleman they're closing at 8 and he can only do 5 balloons. My question is why wouldn't you sell balloons until you run out of air and if someone walks in at 7:50 and you're out of air you just tell them we're out of air. so I just spent almost $40 on balloons and all I needed were three more to make it look like a bouquet. Just an odd way to manage it. And now I'm unhappy with my balloons for my daughters, 11th birthday. I went to this party city location at 11am to get some minions balloons for my nephew's party. It came prepackaged as 1 item with 5 balloons in it. As I proceeded to stand in line, the lady informed me she can only blow up 1 balloon for me, but if I wanted to have more than one balloon I would have to come back after 1pm. She said I didn't order ahead of time, so I can't have more than 1 balloon. I'm sorry, but I never knew that if you wanted more than 1 balloon with helium you need to call ahead. So are you're telling me that anyone coming in before 1pm can only choose 1 balloon? That sounds pretty ridiculous for a party store where you're supposed to go for all your party needs. If this is the case every section where you have balloons you should put a sign that says "hey if you need us to blow these balloons up make sure you place an order in advanced." I can understand if I'm putting in a big order it would make sense to not get it right away, but if it came prepackaged as 5 balloons how can I can separate it? Why would I just blow up 1 balloon and come back. Would you just charge me for 1 balloon? Probably not! Perhaps you should open up some of those rental helium tanks so you can blow up more balloons. He intentionally did not tie the balloon in the correct way and let it deflate by the time I got to the hospital. A 10$ balloon to deflate like this is unacceptable. No coordination what so ever. You can be standing for balloons for 30 minutes and no one to assist you or guide you. Stood in line for 15 minutes and since there was another lady who just cut in front of the balloon area and ordered hers me and another girl followed. Once an older lady was done the worker just picked up and left and started working on her shelf. We stood back in line again to later tell us pick our balloons so that it can be quicker.
