So using the power of Yelp, I found this little place. And what an awesome place it is! I called to make an appointment and was able to get in the next day. Since I'm not particularly a costume-type person, I had no strong ideas of a certain character I wanted to be. I just figured something sorta sexy and something that didn't require a wig or lots of makeup. Despite my uber-vagueness, Gillian was able to pull some great costumes for me that were ready when I arrived for my appointment. Gillian seriously rocks! You know that cartoon The Replacements? She's like the kick-ass costume designer that is brought in to replace your typical costume person. And in the absolute best way possible. She was very friendly, quick, and thorough. The first thing I saw that Gillian had picked out was the first and only thing I put on and what I wound up reserving. And Gillian was such a master! It started out as a Moulin Rouge / can-can girl costume and warped into a kick-ass circus ringmaster costume. She kept coming up with ideas to try and we played around with the accessories until we had a totally different costume. Love it! And I was seriously in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. The shop is really small. And you definitely need to make an appointment first. But there is so much in this little store. I was a bit worried about the cost. Especially as we started adding items Gillian would actually have to make from scratch. But I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the entire costume (from headpiece to boots) was only $95. And it truly includes everything - even the fishnets. Try getting a head-to-toe costume like this elsewhere for that price - you really can't. This costume shop, and Gillian, totally rock! If you have the need for a costume, call Gillian ASAP. You will not be disappointed. So now I just hope I get in for the Elite event. *fingerscrossed* If not, I'll be dressing up anyway and perhaps heading down to the Strip to see how many tourists will take pictures with me. DO NOT COME HERE!…read more Me and my friend went here, two young women in our early 20s. We had to ring a doorbell. The man who answered asked us what we were looking for. We said we were looking for Halloween items. He seemed surprised and then told us that this wasn't self serve and to ask for prices for anything we like, even though we "probably won't buy anything anyways". Should've left at that comment to be honest. After looking down the aisles for a while, a different older lady came up and asked if we had been helped. We said yes, and she said "Well I don't leave anyone unattended in my store so what are you looking for?" This was very unnecessarily rude. Are people not allowed to browse? I told her we were looking for mermaid items. She proceeds to show us the mermaid section we had already seen (and didn't enjoy the selection), but we went along with it because it was so AWKWARD. After pretending to browse that section we decided to leave. She proceeds to follow us outside and says that we have big purses that they are allowed to ask to search by law. I didn't feel like arguing so we both showed her our purses and then left. SO HOSTILE!!

We visited last sunday, and it was fun, to see their inventory, though, it is not as huge as Spirit Halloween stores, but I did notice some affordable options for families, though. It is a specialty/ seasonal/ Halloween store so expect higher prices on popular costumes, though. We were there, along with other families, and to see and hear screaming, running kids, it just makes me more thankful for my child. Also sold t-shirts, located at the front of the store. There were some decorative displays, but again, not as elaborate as the Spirit Halloween stores. The sister store or corporation is Party City. Every store I've been to has been packed with costumes for adults, kids, and even pets. They also have decorations for your yard, like blow-up creatures, signs, and booby-trapped monsters. The staff is usually really helpful, and I love that they can search for inventory from another location if they don't have it in stock. Prices are fairly reasonable as well. I highly recommend them and can't wait to see what they have next year!

Although this location is huge, when I entered the store I felt like the entire store was empty. It was such a drastic change from the Rainbow store that I visited yesterday. They only had a few Funko dolls left. I remember seeing the sanderson's sister Funko dolls. They also only had a few of the Sanderson sister little snow Globes. They mostly had adult costumes. A few decorations in the middle. I honestly didn't see any inflatables, greeters or animatronics. On the way out, I noticed their pumpkin carving items. I don't know if they had a bigger inventory when they first opened or what. The sign on the door said that they'll have 25% off on November 1st and 50% off on November 2nd. I thought to myself what the heck are they going to have left over since they have very little inventory to begin with. :-(

Paper mâché and metal masks galore, beautiful Murano glass jewelry..even lavish costumes that'd be perfect for any masquerade ball or period setting are in every nook and cranny here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the blonde woman who apparently is quite the craftswoman. She'll put a stick on many of the masks in the store for a small charge - and paint/glitter it to match! I really can't say enough good things about this store; just that it's a must-see when you're in the city that never sleeps!

It's a great selling point to encourage others to come see their store, but they discourage that kind of thing (picture taking). Anyway, the masks are amazing, as are the costumes. I understand they have more than that in this store, but I always get caught up in the masks and costumes.........they're so beautiful and ornate. I purchased two large number balloons and 10 individual balloons, which came out to almost $60. As soon as I walked out of the store, two of the balloons popped. I was in a rush, so I didn't have time to go back in. Then, within 30 minutes of arriving at my destination, one of the number balloons had completely deflated. After checking it, I noticed it had a small tear. At that point, I was already too far to go back, but it was frustrating considering how much I spent. I honestly wish I had just ordered from Amazon instead. The store itself didn't help the experience either. It was messy, unorganized, and felt cluttered walking in. The decorations were very outdated and not what I expected--especially for something like a retirement setup. The employees were just okay. There was a lot of side conversation going on instead of helping customers, although I will say one gentleman who assisted me was helpful and professional. I'm not someone who usually leaves one-star reviews or asks for refunds, but I wouldn't recommend this place--even for last-minute decorations.

It's Across from the Nordstrom Rack and down the way from Trader Joe's Their website has *a lot* of really great stuff too! Spirit has a lot of bagged costumes, animatronics, makeup, masks, press-on nails, glassware and many decor items. There are no fitting rooms; however, you can slip a costume on over whatever you're wearing. The staff members I spoke with were all very friendly. I ended up buying the mask shown in the photo below, The Nightmare Before Christmas shot glasses and tumbler, and a few packs of press on nails. I love Spirit and can't wait for Halloween
