Stay Away!!!! PASADENA BRITISH HAS NO LICENSE TO OPERATE! SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURE. Allen has kept my car for over 8 months and has refused to fix or give me my car back! He is a total A-hole. The Bureau of Automotive Repair told me he did the same thing and kept some guys car for 5 YEARS! He only cars about himself and he doesn't care about giving you your own car back! I am now going after him after 8 months. Try calling his office number..he does not answer nor does he have voicemail...it says voicemail full! He lies about when he will give you your car then just disappears. He is close to bankruptcy in my opinion and because he has major family issues he just doesn't care about anything or anyone. His shop really needs to just be shut down so that customers don't have to deal with him in essence "stealing" customers' cars by not communicating or giving them back. I got the police involved and they will be going again repeatedly until my vehicle is returned to me. Allen himself told me that he has tons of customers who want to sue him because he is not responding to them and not giving them their cars back just like me! Horrible place!!! Do not take your car to this place. Cars parked all along the street getting dirty where anyone can do anything to them. Had a car there for over 5 months and nothing was done to it. Picked up the car but didn't get the parts we paid for. Owner said he knew nothing about the $9k worth of parts we gave him to fix the car. Called the police, now we have to go to court to get our parts. read more

Alan is the best! I love his honesty! I have been a customer of Pasadena British Service for a few years... I brought my car to PBS because the "Service Now" light came on (I drive a Bentley). Alan serviced it about a year ago. He asked how many miles I've driven since (about 2000), and he checked the oil level and oil color. He simply said that the oil looked as clean as new and did not recommend an oil change. He reset the "Service Now" light and simply said... "I'll see you in a year" I appreciate that honesty. He could have sold me an oil change, but instead knew that I really did not need one. Any other dealer would have tried to "sell" me something! I appreciate working with PBS and Alan and Claire! A few weeks ago, I visited Pasadena British Service to get some advice and information regarding purchasing a Bentley Continental GTC. I spoke to the owner Allen. He was very polite and professional. He answered all of my questions and eased my mind that I was making the right decision in purchasing one. Allen also told me that whenever I got the car, I can bring it to him and he would inspect it. Well, I just purchased one a few days ago and I took in for Allen to look at it. I left it overnight and he conducted a complete bumper to bumper inspection. Allen was thorough and patiently explained to me, what needed to be repaired and what was good. I was pleased with what he found. Needless to say, I will be taking my new purchase to Allen for service and any other recommended procedures. Allen is a British car guru and the love he has for these cars, shows in the customer service he provides. I have quite a few cars that are out of warranty and Alan takes care of all of them. It is very hard to read some of the things being said about him. I won't go on and on about how great he is or any referrals other than the people who have alrady done so..but I will say this..... You be the judge. You go in, ask for Alan, have him look at your car. If you don't want the work done or don't agree...walk away. I was referred to this repair shop by a dealership where I bought a vehicle last year. The shop promised me the vehicle would be repaired within 4-6 weeks and almost a year later the vehicle was not finished and the dealership where I purchased it did a 'REPO' on the vehicle. The repair shop has called me and threatened me verbally numerous times. I have IN WRITING again that the vehicle would be done a couple weeks ago, and soon after (conveniently) the vehicle did go through 'REPO' by the dealership WHO REFERRED ME to them! Yes, dealer's have nice waiting rooms, free drinks, service advisors, but it is hard to drive out of those dealer shops, without a knot in my stomach & my wallet filleted like a catfish. So it is a real relief to have these guys to go to. Their card says factory trained, but more important, these gents are honest. You can trust them to tell you what you need. They're easy to talk to, know what they're doing & will give you a laugh too. I've even heard other mechanics call them for advice. This repair shop is obviously one of the areas best kept secrets. I'd urge them to add a coffee machine though. read more

This place is no less than a gem. i had been servicing my car there for 3 years now and only have good things to say. My last service was a very major one include suspension work, service, tires, sensors etc. I left my car with Allan and Uber to LAX for a 2 weeks business trip. When I returned home a voice message from Allan was waiting on my cell saying my car is ready to pick up. When I arrived Allan greeted me with a smile and went trough all the things that he preformed to my car, he even fixed few minor issues that he didn't charge me for! the car was even washed from the outside! what a service! Allan is the owner from "HELL" to put it lightly. I took my car to him for some repairs such as replacing the rear shocks, rebuilding the breaks, refurbishing some wood interior parts, and repairing a rough idle on a Rolls Royce. What I got was the shocks and breaks rebuilt, wood parts refurbished, the rough idle was not repaired and the radiator with a hole punctured in the middle face and water was spilling out when Allan finally drove my car up to the tow truck. When I delivered the car to him 17 MONTHS earlier. Thats right, it took Allan ONE YEAR AND FIVE MONTHS to repair my car and some of the repairs were not completed and I had to have the car towed from his shop. It gets worse, I made more than 15 trips to his shop, believe it or not, traveling a total of 70 miles per trip and every trip he stalled me or was damn right rude to me. I finally took the police there and demanded my car with no avail. The police found him hiding at the far end of his shop but he refused to give me my car. The police told me they can't force him to do the right thing, It's a civil matter they said. I had Consumer Affairs at his shop and they wrote up a report on him and it's something I will use against him in court. He told me every excuse you can imagine. Finally when he was supposedly ready to give me back my car he said he did not know how to type up the invoice and I would have to wait for his wife to do it. Well, this took several more trips demanding my car and a month later. He would only except a cashers check at this point. And when I had the check in hand, he was still hesitating to give up my car. It became obvious why when he told me the radiator had sprung a leak all of a sudden while it was sitting in his shop for more then a YEAR AND A HALF. I took the car to a repair shop and they identified the hole as being punctured by some kind of sharp object. It appears that some kind a tool at some point fell into the fan while the car was running and it knocked the tool into the radiator and punctured one of the vertical water flow vanes I took pictures of it to be use in court. I'm looking to recover all the interest payments I made on the car over all that time, all my travel expenses and the repair of the radiator amounting to over $10,000 not including all my aggravation and frustration. Thank God for the internet and Yelp so I can at least save other people from having to live through the same HELL I did. read more

I bought a 1990 Rolls-Royce that I later found needed a lot of work because it had been standing and neglected. My usual shop does not work on Rolls-Royce and recommended Allan at Pasadena British Service telling me Allan had worked at the Rolls-Royce dealer in Pasadena before starting his own shop. When I visited his shop, there were numerous British cars and cars from other countries too. All the problems with my car Rolls-Royce were fixed at a reasonable price and in the time frame promised.
