I've been coming to pasadena car wash since I moved here in January and I have been very happy every time I have brought my car in. I just had not had the chance to write a review. I'm very picky when it comes to my interior being vacuumed out properly getting all the little pebbles in the carpet and they get it done. I usually just get the most basic car wash without air freshener because the last time i could not get the scent to disappear and it aggravated my allergies but that was my fault for choosing that scent not theirs. I have had several experiences with Lorenzo the detail manager and he hasn't once tried to talk me into anything more than what I need. I am leasing my car and I took it in to get a mini detail which was more exterior because my interior was clean, and they left it almost as good as new. He didn't try to talk me into anything else. The inside of the car wash is always nice and cold and they have nice big comfy chairs to sit and wait. It's also walking distance to colorado if you have time to kill like I did with my mini detail. As far as the comments about a rude cashier, I have never encountered that, maybe she has been let go or maybe she has changed her attitude. It's my go to car wash. read more

I've been coming to this place for about 10 years and I have always been pleased with the outcome of my truck. I do the oil every 3000 miles on the dot and I'm very satisfied with their check point, because of they're attentive work and suggestions I found out my pump was leaking and had it taken care of right away. They are professional, friendly and reliable. I have to admit that dealing with different guys I sometimes can tell the difference in their experience on the outcome of my truck but not to the point that I would give them less than 5 stars and I have a white Tahoe so if my truck is not to my satisfaction I will definitely not be happy. And you can't compare the service they provide to a $6 gas station car wash that's plain ridiculous, take this from a guy who must have the right sneakers to go into wet grass at the park otherwise I will refuse to get my neat clean shoes wet/dirty( and I know I'm ridiculous) but that's how you know how pleased I am with this place. read more

Yesterday was my first marathon-training free Saturday in nearly three years. As such, I found myself happily immersed in the world of weekend errand running, and in desperate need of an oil change and a car wash! I'm trying to conserve fuel, and always try to make a list of things I need to do so I can get as much bang for my three-fitty-a-gallon buck while I'm out and about in town. So, instead of hitting the dealer for an oil change on the east side of town, and then driving all the way over to the car wash on the west, I decided to get the whole deal done at Pasadena Car Wash. I roll up to the empty lane on the right and tell the guy I'd like an oil change and a wash. Apparently the wash is free with the oil change - a nice deal I think, especially since it'll save me about $20 bucks. I also needed wiper blades, seeing as there is rain in the forecast for later in the week. For now I figure it's been forever since my car has had more than a pass-through wash at the local Chevron station, so I'll splurge a bit, get the sprinkler water stains off, and park the car in my garage to keep it all spiffy. I must have been in a state of delirium because never once did I ask how much all of this was going to cost me - the oil change and the wiper blades - but I mean, how much could an oil change be? Then I notice that some folks are getting paged to pay for their oil changes directly at the cashier, while others are being called back to the service bay...hmmm...is that a racket I smell a-brewing? Sure enough they call me back to the service bay where the guy says, "It's time for your transmission service - you wanna get that done now?" Seeing as I'd just gotten said work done at my local dealer not more than six months back, I was like, "Um, I don't think so." I must have looked like I wasn't about to be taken 'cause the guy totally backed off and handed me my paperwork so I could go back to the cashier and pay. There was totally a racket going on with that whole set up, but I didn't fall for it so I figure, cool. I'll just pay for my service and split. "That'll be $68," the cashier says as I hand her the paperwork. WHAT? Well - remember that "free" car wash? That sucka should be free 'cause these folks charge $39.95 for an oil change! Add the $20 or so for the pair of wiper blades and you've got yourself one expensive car wash! So why four stars? Well, I have always preferred this car wash to the one on Walnut and Hill that is closer to my home, and my opinion of their service hasn't changed since the day they opened some 17 years or so ago - but for a few minor problems here and there, the service is great and they've been able to make the raggediest of my buckets look good. But from now on, I'll just let them pamper my baby with a little wax on-wax off brush-less love and leave the oil change - and wiper blades - to my dealer who happens to be cheaper by about $10! read more

Absolute worst customer service and classic bait and switch. Beware of this establishment! Came in for an oil change and requested regular not synthetic oil. Attendant said synthetic was required. Having brought in our other Chevy Volt a few days earlier I knew synthetic was recommended but not required per owner's manual. I told him we did not need the synthetic oil. When the job was finished the invoice showed us charged for synthetic ( $50 more). Manager refused to rectify, stating once the oil was in I had to pay for it. I asked him if he went to a restaurant and ordered a hamburger and they brought him steak and lobster, would he be OK with them if they told him once it had been cooked he had to pay for it. When he told me they had to use synthetic because it was "recommended," he had no answer when I asked, why then did his staff put regular oil in our same model Volt 3 days earlier? read more

I would give them negative star if possible. I paid for the platinum service( the highest grade service). When i went to pick up my car, the seat pads were not even wiped. And the back trunk was not even touched at all! It's still all dusty and dirty in there. I called out the manager asking about the bad service, and he responded by saying " well only difference between platinum service and the other cheaper service is we can make front panel look shinier." I asked about the still visible dust and spot, and he said, " well, how we work is that, we just wipe down like this, what comes off comes off, and the rest if we need to do extra work we ll charge more". Lol are you kidding me? So i m paying 20 dollars extra and you wont even bother to make a little effort to wipe twice? Do NOT come to this place. At least never choose the platinum service read more

I've been here many times. It's warm today and a Sunday, so I expected the wait (about 50 min start to finish). The exterior was overall average. My car was not overly dirty, but some small droppings remained that I had to wipe off when I arrived home. The reason for the two stars is twofold. 1) they excessively slam the doors of the cars, mine included. 2) they aggressively clean the instrument cluster with a towel that obviously has done dirt on it (read "sandpaper". The plastic on the instrument cluster is visibly scratched now. Ugh. I'll be doing my own washing from now on. read more

3.75 stars Just for perspective, I drive a 2009 Acura... Average - nothing exotic. For those of you, like me, that are REAL enthusiasts for a clean car, this place is acceptable. But, there's no need to "go for the gold". The bronze of silver wash is fine; gold is a waste of a few bucks. You get "wheel brite" but they just spray off the out side of the wheels - not inside where MOST of the heavy brake dust lives. Also "spray wax", give me a break... it's only on the surface for a few seconds then is sprayed off. I personally like a machine washing my ride because most of it is by pressurized water than contact. 100% hand wash is overrated, and I think mostly because it's cheap to hire someone for min wage to sit in the wash tunnel rather than machinery. I think the wash you get from a machine is more consistant. The waiting area is comfortable, and indeed it's busy. (I don't really care about the leather seating or free cookies... although that's a nice touch.) But, they are fast. (I did have to do a light once over because they did miss a few spots.) I'm a Griot's Garage / Meguiar's guy, but if you're in a hurry or just feel lazy, this place will get you by to next week's wash. read more

So great I went twice in one afternoon! Great service, great value. Also very nice that they offer a large waiting room with lots of seating as well as cards and other things you may need to pick up. They seemed to be experienced with all types of vehicles from large SUVs to smaller sports sedans. I'd highly reccomend this place! read more

You will wait one hour for your car only to have it returned half clean. I had to ask the person to clean it inside and vacuum. They sent me back in line for vacuum which is another 2 minutes! This car wash is always busy and conveniently located just off Hwy 210 in Pasadena. The process is pretty simple, but it was my first time here and there was really no one to direct me what to do and where to go. I figured it out just by following the other customers (thank goodness it was busy!). Although none of the workers were rude, no one really talked to me either. Like I said, it was like rats walking through a maze. As for the wash itself, they do a pretty good job. However, the details - like when you lift your trunk or the door jams - were completely missed. I have had much better service elsewhere and can definitely get a more detail-oriented wash. I had the best experience at Pasadena Car Wash today. I pulled up and asked if they could clean just one seat and one carpet. The attendant was so friendly and courteous he was not trying to upsell me at all. He quoted me $25 for this service which was way less than I thought. I was also worried they wouldn't just clean one section of the car. But that was the only part that needed cleaning and they totally understood. They did a fantastic job and I tipped the workers very well for a job well done. My kids got into the car tonight and said the car smelled and looked so good! They have one very happy customer and I plan to continue going to Pasadena Car Wash. read more

I started using Pasadena Car Wash about 8 years ago. I lived in Silverlake at the time and would drive the extra 8 miles to get my cars washed there. I haven't been to another car wash in years. The people are professional, friendly, and generally care about their clients' cars. The detailing service is great and will make your car look as good as it can. A few times, they even gave me a ride to and from home (all the way to Silverlake) so I didn't have to wait while my car was detailed. The hand wash is superb if you don't want to put your car through the machine wash. This is particularly handy if you have wide rims on your sport car. If your rims are too wide, the rims can be damaged in the machine wash - if you are in doubt ask or just spend the extra couple of bucks for the hand wash. It's worth it. The regular machine car washes are also excellent. read more

I was a little reluctant to go here b/c of what everyone else said, but I went b/c I was in desperate need and this was convenient. They did a great job, spent lots of time vacuuming out my car and wiping it down thoroughly afterwards. The inside waiting area is clean and cool. The basic car wash was $13.99 which does not include any of the bells and whistles, but does the job. Overall I was happy. I checked my coin holder when I got back in my car and all was as I had left it. The service was good and everyone was polite to me. read more

I visited on a Sunday afternoon and the entire effort took 45 minutes! Seriously, we are washing cars not building rockets at jet propulsion lab! This by far was one of my worst car washes. It was $19.99 for a wash yet my car was still dirty! It literally has spots of dirt on the car. I then sit inside my car and had to flag the guy down Bc he left caramel from a drink all over the cup holder, paw prints from my dog on the center console, and dust on my dash. It was extremely visible so I don't know how he thought it was normal to keep it all there. When you ask them to clean it you get attitude. Really???? I literally had to come home and clean the rest myself. What was the point of taking it in if I had to clean it? Never going back ever again. read more

Ok. I dig this place. First, I got an oil change. It didn't take long, and the guy told me I probably had a nail in my tire - he offered to creep the car forward while I checked. He was right! After my car had finished through the wash cycle and the finishing dude got to it the soap had dried. He suggested putting it through again, which to me, sounded like a great idea. Point being? Rating: HALF A STAR/ Read full review... I checked this place out because it was the only place that was still open till 6PM. I pulled up and was immediately harassed by one of the guys, the guy was rude, direct, and made me feel really uncomfortable with the look in his eyes and his body demeanor. I told the manager, and he claimed that he has spoken to the guy on several occasions and stated that there were many complaints but then brushed it off. We promptly left because I did not feel safe with any of the workers handling my car and the accessories/ items inside. Noted: The original guy that came to my car, opened my door, upon stating that I wanted a car wash, he went on this tangent stating that "when someone approaches your car, you say hello and ask how their day is going", then claimed to be detail oriented and impatient.
