APEX Gym has great equipment and a solid environment, but the cancellation process has been…read moreextremely frustrating. My first attempt to cancel was by email on March 4th, and I emailed again on March 16th when I didn't receive a response.I then went in person on a Sunday, as my contract allows cancellation in person. The manager, Lorenzo, was not there, and the front desk staff told me I could email him directly to cancel. I followed their instructions and sent the email. This morning, Lorenzo replied telling me that I cannot cancel by email and that I must come in person Monday-Friday 8AM-8PM -- even though I already went in person, and none of these requirements appear anywhere in my contract. My contract clearly states that cancellation can be done in person or by mail, with no mention of manager availability, weekday-only hours, or any other restrictions. Under the Texas Health Spa Act, gyms are not allowed to add extra cancellation conditions that aren't in the written agreement. The shifting explanations I received -- including in my recorded call with Lorenzo -- would not hold up under Texas consumer protection rules. I've filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General because this has now dragged on for nearly a month despite me following every instruction they gave me.It's a great gym overall, but if you ever move out of the city or need to cancel, be prepared for a stressful and unnecessary process. The facility is good, but the cancellation issues are simply not worth the headache. Stay away at all costs, Houston is literally saturated with so many gyms that this one is absolutely not worth the trouble.

Overall the gym is decent but for being how big it is, they could add a lot more equipment. If…read moreyou're trying to go after 5, it sucks. Too busy. The kids at the front desk are just always messing around. They need to control the tripods everywhere, it's annoying especially not having social media where people put up tripods all around and then don't care they are blocking people from going around. Definitely more of a f boy gym. I see why the gym has its appeal for the aesthetic part of it but that's not for everyone, idc what the gym looks like. I care about equipment and they are lacking some major advanced machines. They have room for improvement but I chose them because it's the closest decent gym to my location.

I really enjoyed working out here but I'm trying to cancel my membership because I'm moving and…read morethey are making it impossible. I've spoken to three different front desk associates. The first one said to come during regular hours. I understood the first person because I had went late at night. I went in today at around 10:15 A.M. and a different associate requested I took a seat and waited for the GM and I just told her I'd work out and speak to him after. I finished my work out at roughly 11:45 and went back to speak to the front desk lady. She proceeded to ask for my name and phone number because he would be back in an hour. I told her I'd already waited longer than an hour and if she could just cancel my membership. She said no because I have to do it in person AND schedule a time to meet. What is this a business meeting?! Y'all can call me and cancel my membership I'm not driving from the woodlands to cancel my membership again this is ridiculous.

I suffered a fall at the 24 Hour Fitness San Jacinto location that left me with a significant…read moreinjury to my clavicle and shoulder area. Since the accident, I've been dealing with severe pain, multiple doctor visits, an MRI, and ongoing appointments with an orthopedic specialist. There is also a possibility that I will need physical therapy as part of my recovery. What has been most disappointing throughout this entire experience is how poorly the situation has been handled. It took me three separate attempts to file a claim before I finally received a response from the General Manager and was given an incident report number. Since then, I have not received any follow-up communication, updates, or even a simple check-in regarding my condition or claim. Because of this injury, I have been unable to work and have lost income while trying to recover. The physical pain has been difficult enough, but the lack of communication and support from the gym has made an already stressful situation even more frustrating. As a paying member, I expected much better. Instead, I feel like my concerns have been ignored and that I've been left on my own to deal with the aftermath of an injury that occurred at your facility. The complete lack of customer service, urgency, and accountability has been extremely disappointing. At a minimum, I expected someone to follow up, provide updates, or show some level of concern for what I've been going through. I hope no other member has to go through an experience like this. The injury itself has been difficult, but the way it has been handled has made the situation even worse.
