It's beautiful, modern and inviting with plenty of comfortable seating in the lobby , a fireplace and a gorgeous patio area just on the other side. There are little areas where you can sit and get some work done, relax with a drink or just hang out. I also believe they have live music on the patio on certain weekends, which makes the space even more inviting. After about a 3 1/2-hour drive this time, we decided we weren't going anywhere before getting something to eat, so we had lunch at Pine Street Bistro right in the lobby. We ordered the burger and fries, a salad with shrimp and fresh orange juice, and everything was really good. I love having a spot right downstairs where you can grab breakfast and coffee in the morning, have lunch during the day or come down for a drink later. The rooms are another reason I love this hotel. Everything feels new, fresh and thoughtfully designed. The rooms are modern and minimal without feeling cold, the beds are comfortable, and I especially love the bathroom design. It's just my style. But LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This is probably one of the biggest reasons I would continue staying here. Once you're settled in, you can leave the car alone and walk. We walked to dinner, a speakeasy, tasting rooms, little shops and the General Store, and just wandered around discovering places along the way. There was even a farmers market nearby on Saturday. That's what I love about staying here. The hotel itself is beautiful, but you're also right in the middle of this charming little downtown where so much is within walking distance. What Early 1980s Upscale Felt Like…read more Oxford Suites Paso Robles Stay: 9/3/26-9/4/26 There is something wonderfully peculiar about Oxford Suites in Paso Robles. Walking through the entrance feels a little like stepping into 1982, back when "upscale" meant exposed brick, substantial furniture, earth tones and dramatic lounge chairs. Throw in Quarterflash, The Motels, Scandal or Wang Chung and the illusion is nearly complete. Oddly, I mean that as a compliment. There is plenty of parking. EV owners should note there is no free charging, though a few slower paid chargers are available. Check-in was smooth. The entrance feels somewhat dated, but in an oddly elegant way rather than a depressing one. The shared lobby areas are charming, with comfortable couches, oversized chairs, exposed brick and cute little seating nooks that make for fun photos. Upstairs, the time-machine theme continues. The room doors look like oversized old farm doors, sturdy and paneled, as though a polite barn had been promoted to hospitality management. The hallway carpet is muted plaid in brown, gray, green and orange. Walking down the corridor feels like strolling across a gigantic Burberry scarf. It should not work. Somehow, it does. The hotel is also very clean, which matters more to me than whether the decorator last had a spiritual awakening during the Reagan administration. Our room was impressively spacious, with a huge flat-screen TV, comfortable couch, proper work table and plenty of room to spread out. The bathroom was also roomy. Shower pressure was slightly above average, though I would gladly take a little more force. The toilet seat, meanwhile, was wobbly enough to introduce an unexpected maritime theme. If you strain, brace yourself--you may feel like you're riding stormy seas. The bed itself was comfortable for reading and relaxing. Sleeping was a little tougher. Noise was absolutely not the issue; the hotel was remarkably quiet. Instead, the room air somehow felt too stuffy, too cool and too dry, sometimes all at once. Quite an atmospheric achievement. Breakfast is included, and the breakfast room is large, comfortable and never felt crowded. The crowd was pleasantly civilized too--well-behaved children and older adults peacefully eating breakfast rather than staring at everyone who walked in. The food, however, could use help. The scrambled eggs had the unmistakable texture of institutional breakfast mush. There were biscuits, sausage gravy, sausages, waffles, rather uncharming skin-on chopped potatoes, juices and coffee. The oatmeal was decent, and apples were available for those maintaining some relationship with nutritional respectability. The waffle machines are a nice touch. Coffee comes with to-go cups, but there appeared to be a shortage of lids. How does a hotel run short of coffee lids? Are Paso Robles coffee drinkers using ten covers per cup? I investigated no further. There is also a quaint gym, and the overall property has a comfortable, slightly eccentric vibe. Oxford Suites is not slick luxury and does not feel like a sterile modern boutique hotel. It feels more like an older idea of upscale hospitality that has been maintained, updated here and there, and allowed to retain personality. I rather liked that. Overall, this is a solid four-star stay and absolutely a place I would visit again. What is interesting is how close it comes to five. Give the shower a little more pressure. Improve the room air circulation. Cook the breakfast eggs and potatoes with a bit more dignity. Tighten the toilet seat. And, for heaven's sake, acquire enough coffee lids. Make those small adjustments and this could easily become a five-star experience in its category. One final warning: checkout is 11:00 a.m., and 11:00 means 11:00. Stay until noon and it will cost extra. So don't slack-- or you're gonna get some flack. a.

Guest services went above and beyond for my wife's birthday--arranging beautiful flowers from a local florist, adding a lovely bottle of wine, and including a handwritten note. The location is ideal--just off the town square with easy access to restaurants and shops--and valet parking was a welcome bonus. Truly hard to find anything not to love.

Mornings were cool and evenings warm but pleasant in August but day time was blazing hot. Checking in and out was smooth and easy. Our room was conveniently just across from the pool area, which is also where the ice machine resides. Room A/C worked very well, and it was just as comfortable as I remember back in December. The blackout window shade and the reading lights above the beds were particularly thoughtful accessories. Adelaide inn is well situated near the 101 and 46 highways which makes it super easy to go to wineries or downtown. Highly recommend!

Our room was right next to it so when our window was open we could hear the trickling waterfall. The picnic area was also simple and sweet. The customer service was the first thing we noticed- the person who checked us in was upbeat and cheerful and there was zero hassle getting our room key and also the run down of what was offered during our stay. When we returned for pool towels it was a new Inn attendant who was equally cheery and well spoken, alerting us to pool hours & how to return the towels. The inn is also perfectly located near the event center and dozens of businesses so if you need coffee, groceries, gas or a restaurant it's all right there. It's a short 1 minute drive to downtown, and the on ramp for nearby wineries is even closer. Perfect stay!

The shower knob was broken, there was an old leather jacket left in the closet, and there was barely any countertop space in the bathroom. To their credit, the staff was friendly and quickly moved me to another room, which I appreciated. That said, for a hotel of this caliber, you'd expect at least complimentary coffee--but there wasn't any. They do have a restaurant that opens at 7:00 AM, but when I arrived right at 7:00, it wasn't open. An employee mentioned the staff was running late--it was already 7:10 AM by then. Not a great look. I've stayed at the Courthouse Marriott before, where they offer free coffee and breakfast, and in hindsight, I wish I had stayed there again. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning here.
