Second stay here at Adelaide Inn, for the Distillery trail weekend at Paso Robles--I should've brought my swimsuit! Mornings were cool and evenings warm but pleasant in August but day time was blazing hot. Checking in and out was smooth and easy. Our room was conveniently just across from the pool area, which is also where the ice machine resides. Room A/C worked very well, and it was just as comfortable as I remember back in December. The blackout window shade and the reading lights above the beds were particularly thoughtful accessories. Adelaide inn is well situated near the 101 and 46 highways which makes it super easy to go to wineries or downtown. Highly recommend! read more

We really enjoyed our recent stay here. What immediately comes to mind is the luxurious bedding & linens making our sleep feel like we were on the freshest and softest of clouds. The room was immaculately clean, stocked with amenities that mattered. The entire grounds were beautiful- we came when flowers and foliage were in bloom everywhere and it felt a bit tropical. The pool & spa area were both clean, making it really nice for lounging after a day of exploring. The koi pond was full of happy and colorful fish. Our room was right next to it so when our window was open we could hear the trickling waterfall. The picnic area was also simple and sweet. The customer service was the first thing we noticed- the person who checked us in was upbeat and cheerful and there was zero hassle getting our room key and also the run down of what was offered during our stay. When we returned for pool towels it was a new Inn attendant who was equally cheery and well spoken, alerting us to pool hours & how to return the towels. The inn is also perfectly located near the event center and dozens of businesses so if you need coffee, groceries, gas or a restaurant it's all right there. Stayed overnight while in town recently. This Inn has been here for years and I have stayed here on a handful of occassions and its consistently a good choice. Friendly front desk staff make checking in a breeze. This hotel is quiet and secure with ample parking at every building. My last time through we were in the back, a double queen room downstairs with parking literally at the front door. The room was large and comfortable, with all the amenities one expects traveling today. A work desk and chair, along with a flat screen, fridge, with comfortable beds and ample pillows. There is also a basic grab and go coffee and packaged pastries in the front lobby each morning. Rooms were in good shape. Clean. Good strong warm shower. Tub drain worked well. Hair dryer was awesome! It had just the right settings. Three speeds. Three settings for heat. I gotta buy one of this brand for myself. Nice to have two sinks, one of which was in the shower/tub room. I liked the heated light in the shower/tub room. Pool towels were available to borrow from the front desk. Quick to-go muffins, tea, and coffee were available in the morning. Quick to-go cookies were available in the afternoon when we checked in. Microwave and refrig worked fine. Plenty of lights / lamps in the room. Plenty of parking. I saw lots of handicapped spaces. There's a bbq and playground and picnic tables outside. I saw the washers and dryers outside, ready for use. We made use of the pool and the jacuzzi and enjoyed both. While the jacuzzi "looked" dirty at first glance, looking closer you could see it was clean but maybe it just needs to be repainted or resurfaced? The property has lots of cute and whimsical decorations. There's even a little library. My only two minor complaints are (1) the AC worked very well, but was too loud so I had to turn it off before sleeping which meant the room got hot again so I had to turn it back on but then it got loud, and repeat; and (2) the shower was nice and warm with a good stream, but it would have been nice to have been able to adjust it just a tad so that less water comes out (we're from an area where there's often a drought, so we're not used to having such a strong stream and plentiful water). While we didn't venture to the businesses near this inn,there looked to be lots of places to eat and walk to. We did see the Starbucks across the street which would be convenient for some folks. Little off the beaten path motel. We were stopping for a night after traveling a long distance and needed a place to crash for the night. The check-in was quick painless and open late. We had a good nights rest and was up early to be on our way. The price was right and the accommodations were clean. Wouldn't mind staying here again. read more

This place is awesome. Great room pricing - I was traveling with a friend and booked a suite since it wasn't too much more on their online reservation system. Arrived around midnight but they left me a voicemail earlier in the day when we were on the road to confirm our arrival time. They have a "microgolf" course by the jacuzzi and pool with 9 holes and 3 greens. Pretty entertaining - the location is right off the 101 so very easy to get to. Stayed here twice in the past and I like the fact that it's not too noisy for its location near the freeway exit/entrance. read more

We have stayed here twice now - once in the Fall when we visited several of the wineries around Paso Robles and more recently as we were traveling through the area on the way up north. The location of the is near the highway but not far at all from the center of town. There are facilities nearby but it's also a quiet location. The rooms are very clear and the staff friendly. The rooms are appointed with modern conveniences and there is a pool onsite (which we have not used yet). We will happily book a stay here in the future when our travels take us through Paso Robles. read more

Well appointed rooms, unfortunately our room 411, anytime water ran above us, it created a sound so loud you would have to shout over it to talk. When suggesting the front desk might want to get someone to look into it, I was told they didn't have maintenance on in the evenings, so what do I want them to do? We came here for our friend's 60th birthday and had such an amazing time. I loved all the little touches with all the landscaping and garden decor. On our first day, they had a wine pouring with cheese and crackers at the pool. They provided cookies in the front office daily. They have a little mini golf area in the pool section. That was a lot of fun, of course the turf needs a little bit of updating. They also have a Jacuzzi, which was at the perfect temperature. I also loved how close it was to all of the restaurants and grocery store. Our room was clean and staff was very attentive. We definitely would recommend this place for anyone that wants a small little hotel with a lot of charm and great service. read more

I had high hopes for our stay based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. When we checked in, our room wasn't clean -- there was food on the floor and dead bugs on the windows. Later, we borrowed a couple of towels to use at the pool, and the front desk called to warn us about a potential $50 charge if the towels were damaged. When I mentioned the condition of the room, the staff said it was my responsibility to report it at check-in and that nothing could be done. While I understand policies exist, the combination of cleanliness issues and the dismissive response left us frustrated. Some improvements to both room upkeep and guest communication could make a big difference. read more

We got concert tickets to a show at the fair... our first choice was Adelaide Inn, but honestly the prime location I just assumed we were too late because I waited til 2 weeks before to book.. our friends were staying at Hotel Siri, I booked there... the day we are supposed to check in, the a-hole at Hotel Siri calls and tells us he overbooked, basically to get over it and no help. I ended up booking to their sister Cielo Inn, went to make sure we were all good for check in and he's like check ins at 2.. it's 145, you'll have to wait... they weren't nice so frustrated I asked my husband just drive to Adelaide, it's a long shot but maybe they'll help... Once we pulled up I just thought, oh man they are probably going to be rude and laugh at us for thinking we'd get a room... no, they said yes! We have a smoking and non smoking available, SOO KIND! The rates were cheaper and the place was great! Even if they didn't have a room for us, the kind women at the front desk turned our day around... We checked into our very clean room and when unloading our luggage I accidentally dropped a glass bottle, the maintenance woman saw me picking up the glass and said, no need to do that, I'll call someone over... so so nice.. if I would have been at hotel Siri or ceilo inn I probably would have been yelled at!! Place is easy to get to, we got there late night, parking was available in plenty and right in front of the room as well. The staff were efficient and friendly, got us moving fast. The room was ready, toasty (we were there in winter), unfortunately felt rather stuffy. It's unclear if that was a smoking room or not? First time in Paso Robles stayed here for 3 nights and the check in went smooth, front desk staff was friendly. The area is super close to a lot of stores, food and activities near by which is pretty nice so you are not using up to much gas. The stay itself was very relaxing and calm, it was a peaceful night and the beds were comfortable, pillows very soft and squishy and bathroom was very clean ! One of my favorite things about the bathroom was the lighting, it has two brightness of switches, so it' was very good lighting to apply my makeup and they also have a small mirror with a light !! The fridge and microwave work well & they have a coffee maker as well. Don't really have any complaints ! read more

We recently stayed at the Adelaide Inn and even though I hate to write this review, it has to be said. We are 25+ year guests at the Inn and are truly shocked at what we encountered on our last trip there. Issue # 1 - As with many hotels there are quieter and busier areas. We always ask for a room in the quieter area and did so when this reservation was made months ago. I followed that up with a phone call less than 24 hours before arriving and was told that we were already placed in the requested room. Upon arrival we found out that we had been moved from upstairs in the middle of the property to the first floor in the back of the property. We were also told that the Inn was full and there was nothing that could be done. The front desk person was as confused as we were about why our room was changed. We arranged to switch rooms in the morning. There was a wildfire in the area and there were several firefighters staying at the Inn and unfortunately their trucks were backed up right in front of our room, less than 5' away. At 5 am when they loaded up and started up all the trucks it was so loud our door and window were actually shaking. Oddly enough out requested room was no where near the trucks or had any firefighters staying in the area. The rooms around the trucks that we were put in were mostly occupied by firefighters. So once again, no reasonable explanation why we were moved. We have nothing but respect for firefighters and this issue was 100% with the Adelaide Inn. In the morning when we went in to the office to switch rooms, the new desk person went straight into telling me what the rules were and her attitude was truly ridiculous. Issue # 2 - The property is starting to look quite run down. The photos of the tattered shade by the pool with the tree branch that had grown thru it and the completely worn away artificial turf on the couple of mini golf holes by the pool are just a couple of examples. Issue # 3 - There are some adopted cats living in the pool area as that is where their food bowls are. The entire pool area smells of cat urine. We heard several guests complain about it by the pool. Issue # 4 - Gross! There was new and old cat poop in the pathway next to the koi pond by out room. Sitting in the Paso summer sun made the smell and flies very disgusting. More attached photos. GROSS!!! I have no idea what has happened to the Adelaide Inn. Maybe they were sold?? It used to be owned and managed by a family and there was always a family member in the office. They were very courteous hosts with old school hospitality training and the exact opposite of the rude employee mentioned above. There are many hotels in Paso now and we will be trying them out on our next trips. I came across a review I posted on the site about this Inn a few years back. What a difference. This place is AWFUL! Visited with my partner a while ago (just got around to writing a review), for a relaxing weekend and noticed after we checked out they charged my card an incidental fee. It never fell off so I called and they claimed the room smelled like throw up and they had to take it out of service for multiple days to clean it. Personally, I think they mixed up the rooms or something because my partner and I barely drink anything, and no one threw up. The manager was a condescending jerk and dismissed my concern. How does a room smell like throw up when there's no throw up? I feel like they scammed me. Beware of this place!! What a joke. Shameful. read more

I am giving this place 3 stars - 2 for the location and 1 for the accomodations. We were running late on Friday and as we were driving from Orange County, called the desk to assure them we were still coming. Steve answered and took our credit card info to make the check in process easier. We also had some questions which he not only answered but also picked up on what we were asking (wineries, where to eat, etc) and gave us details on everything we wanted to know... and then some. Steve is an asset to this place and will be successful in whatever he does! The cleaning lady for our room (I regret not getting her name) could not have been a sweeter, nicer person. Bless her!!! (Gwen is another story, which I will address later) Check in was a breeze and we had room 500 at the end of the building. The room was clean and roomy as it was promoted as a "suite". And the shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower was great! They have a Keurig and provide you with coffee pods. The grounds were beautiful with a fish pond and lots of quirky things all over, making the ambiance homey. That was the end of what I can say was nice about this place. The phone did not work. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I ended up sleeping (if you call what I did sleep) on the floor for awhile. The pillows suck (there is not a better word to describe them). As someone mentioned - the pool is NOT heated and the Jacuzzi is STILL not working. (ever sit in piss water?) I would not even use the pool towels on my car as they would scratch the paint. The equipment in the "gym" needs attention, the cables hardly work. The miniture golf course could use a little restoration. The muffins and sconce's were from a local bakery (edna's) and must have been a few days old. There was NO fruit. When we were packing to leave on Sunday, we called the desk to ask for another half hour as we were at a wedding Saturday night and did not get back until late. We wanted to grab a quick shower before we hit the road. Gwen is more suited for working at the DMV then at a front desk providing customer service, where you should at least be cordial. Her attitude was such that putting everything else aside, would keep me away from ever staying there again. She made us feel like if we were not out of the room by 11, that she would call the police and have us arrested for tresspassing. Nice. I get that rooms need to be cleaned and turned over, but there certainly should be some leway to allow a guest to grab a shower and leave at 11:20. They cannot turn over all the rooms at once. She must be related as that would be the only reason to keep her. (Maybe the owner should do an "undercover boss" or send someone in to test things out and see how things REALLY run there to maybe fix things? That's what I would do....But then, I am not the owner. read more

Very nice clean spacious room. Our only complaint was no elevator to hoist our luggage. Hotel is very nice with immaculate grounds. No breakfast but you have a coffee maker with assortment of coffees in the room. Service is very friendly and check in was fast. Next time we book we will request bottom floor. read more

Great stay! I was expecting a typical motel and was very surprised by the quality and the upgrades in the room. All new furniture, thoughtful decorating. Comfortable bed with tons of smaller feather pillows (my favorite!). The best part was the entry way to the bathroom. There were full light up mirrors and even a smaller pull out magnifying light up makeup mirror, a bench to sit and apply your makeup and even thoughtful amenities like makeup remover wipes. The bathroom had extra large towels and they included shampoo AND conditioner (which is so rare), all of it smelling of Mandarin Blood Orange. There was also a larger mini fridge and coffee/tea Keurig area. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again! read more

What a great find! We were here for some wine tasting, and looked for a centrally-located, moderately-priced place to stay for a couple of nights. Adelaide Inn exceeded our expectations in every way! Easy to get to, just a couple of blocks off the freeway. 10 minutes to downtown, 30 minutes in any direction to great wineries. Large room with 2 comfy, queen-sized beds. good TV (and easy to plug in our computer to watch streaming movies, too!). Modern bathroom, hair dryer, coffee-pod machine, microwave, and fridge. Many lights and electrical outlets. USB ports in two places. Being there in February, the grounds were sort of dormant, but daffodils were starting, the roses were waiting for a bit or warmth, and the koi in the pond were eager to make friends. I expect in another month the grounds will be blooming everywhere. Friendly and competent staff, plenty of parking, free snacks morning and evening, and many handy businesses within easy walking distance. Next time I'm in Paso, you'll find me at Adelaide Inn! read more

I'm not sure if we got a bad room or what was going on. In comparison to other people's experience I was left very disappointed staying at Adelaide's. I was really looking forward to this stay given its location, reviews and price. Honestly I regret it. We got a first floor room and it is SO loud being right next to the parking lot. Between people talking and car doors slamming I couldn't get a good night's rest. Maybe if you're a light sleeper you should skip this motel. People say it's been updated idk if our room wasn't but it was fine.. maybe updated hear and there but it's still old and has an old motel smell. AC is fine. It's on one speed which is freeze your butt off and hold onto your hats bc it'll blow you away. Yes the pool and hot tub look fine. You get a free cookie when you come in and they have (only) local free muffins for breakfast. No pastries or fruit this weekend. Overall I was disappointed. Wouldn't come back to stay. read more

Comfortable stay in Paso Robles This is an older style motel that has been renovated to a high standard. The rooms are in a well-maintained complex with a pool and the rooms are cosy, comfortable and decorated beautifully. Our room was spacious, with a compact bathroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast is nothing remarkable - it's just pre-packaged bakery items which you have with coffee in your room, but there are cookies available from the lobby in the afternoon. We were super thrilled that they actually serviced our room which seems to be a rarity in this post-pandemic era. It's in a good location just off the freeway and a short drive from downtown Paso Robles and the wineries. read more

A beautiful location and room. You are welcomed with fountains and flowers. Then the room themselves are spacious and full of surprises. The bathrooms are spacious with lots of counter space, great lighting, and a makeup mirror. The bathroom is split with a sink in each room, which is very convenient when traveling with a friend. I like to read so especially loved the lighting options on the headboards. Each headboard has 2 personal lighting options with a lamp and reading light. It was quiet, comfortable, and welcoming. I absolutely love this place! We have been in Paso on business for 3 weeks and have stayed elsewhere that just wasn't really working for us. I've booked the Adelaide for this week and must tell you this is the equivalent of a high end hotel. The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing. Not at all what is usually expected at the typical "drive up " kind of motel! The room is huge and filled with lovely quality furniture, bedding and amenities. We just stayed 2 nights at the Adelaide Inn in Paso Robles. We really liked the grounds, swimming pool, hot tub and the clean room. They had the grounds decorated so nicely with all sorts of of cute metal, beads etc statues. The stay was very quiet. It like dive in motel where you can park your car right in front of if your room. We brought our electric bike so it was nice to back into our spot so anytime we could look out and see our bikes on the bike rack. The price was great but the people who ran the Inn were so nice. Bonus you can walk right across the street to Starbucks and there is a Pizza restaurant next to them that had great food and drinks and have us a discount when we showed our room key. Very cute hotel that is close to restaurants, gas stations, and many wineries. Highly recommend booking a night or two in pasa Robles. The inn has a jacuzzi, koi garden, and complimentary breakfast of pastries and fruits. Room was super clean with huge counter space and comfy beds. We booked this hotel room a few months in advance through a third party site and got a very good weekday deal. It was also just a few blocks from River Oak Hot Springs (we had an appointment there), so I went ahead and booked a one night stay. To my enjoyment there is a drive through Starbucks right across the street which we visited on the way to the hotel and on the way out. There's also a pizza place and Mexican place in the same vicinity. There's also a McDonald's and Denny's in the nearby area. An ARCO and Chevron are also right next door. It's in a good location for a traveler. Parking and Internet are free, which was a huge plus. We got a single King bed and although the room was pretty clean, I still Clorox wiped all of the high touch surfaces down. One thing my husband and I love to do is talk about how comfortable the bed is. This bed wasn't super comfy. The bed was not lumpy, but not very firm. I felt like I was dipping a little. And the pillows were too thick lol. But overall, the hotel was very clean, check-in was super easy, and we stayed there with no noise or construction problems. I would totally stay there again for the right price! read more

This was a tough review to write - I honestly would give the place 3.5 stars. The pros: Clean rooms, nice lighting in the makeup area around the mirrors, comfy beds, mini fridge, microwave and single cup coffee maker. Note that you drive up to your room so there may be cars parked outside your room and it is two story so you may hear people above your room. The noise levels were very low, though, so that was not an issue for us. The staff were polite. I hadn't been to Paso Robles for a long time and was shocked at the huge number of homeless people hanging around outside the hotel. I do not recommend going for a walk around the neighborhood. read more
