    Butter Naan

We finally made it here after months of asking ourselves what new restaurant we wanted to try, Passage to India was always on the list but when it came time, we would forget! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were warmly greeted immediately and the wonderful smells of Curry and the other spices were a great welcome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Tiki Masala and my wife had the Vegetable Korma. The lamb in my Masala was perfectly cooked and tender, and flavor was wonderful. My wife's Korma was loaded with veggies and flavorful as well. We also had the Butter Naan and Garlic Naan. The servings were generous so we're looking forward to the leftovers and returning soon.

Chicken korma and lamb vindaloo. Garlic naan and a mango lassie.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Surprisingly empty parking lot and restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No lunch buffet, so we ordered off the menu. I had the lamb vindaloo and my wife had the chicken korma. Both were served quickly with garlic naan, rice, and a mango lassie. All were flavorful and well seasoned. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall good food, good service, comfortable seating, and good prices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not great, but definitely good.

    Gulan Jamun! So delicious

While looking at Google maps to get my bearings...part of my "process" when I'm not familiar with an area... I saw "Passage to India" and after looking over their menu of unique appetizers and mains...I was like yup! That what I want for dinner. First time in my life I've ever heard of "Kati Roll" let alone had one. My protein of choice was egg(scrambled) and found it super delicious! It reminded me of a "hand roll" that one could get at a sushi bar. The tortilla like wrap had a lot of firmness as well as some crispiness in every bite. For my main, I order the "Chapala" with fish (cat fish ). The fish was in a kind of spicy curry sauce which I thought was well season and just the right amount of spiciness for me. It comes with plain rice and over all vet satisfying. I also order some naan and used it with the rice to take up all that delicious curry style sauce. Lastly, I had Gulan Jamun, my very favorite among Indian desserts. Over all a flavorful, delicious and satisfying dinner. I would certainly come back as they have several dishes and preparations that I've never had. On final note, I was surprised that I was the only person in the dining area...and that this awesome restaurant wasn't more supported by the community. They do "take out" which kept my server busy but still food here deserves more attention and in person attendance...I hope those who like Indian food will come here and enjoy what they offer.

    Chicken Tikka

This place is legit... came here with my wife on a Friday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a big place and there wasn't barely anyone there, felt odd.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Despite this I ordered the chicken tikka masala, garlic and paneer naan, and it was the best I've ever had. I write this very sad, because I have been looking at this place for over a year and had no idea what I've been missing. So many spices and flavors I've been missing at other Indian cuisines, I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Paneer Tika Massala with rice and garlic Naan

Came here for dinner with some friends last night. The restaurant itself is so cute, I love the vibe inside. Service was great! Now for the star of the show, the food! I had the Paneer Tika Massala, with rice and garlic Naan. All so delicious! The sauce was so flavorful and creamy. I have no complaints about Passage to India. Check them out!

When do they have buffets and how much are they?

    Do they have dinner buffets?

Nope - but ordering from the menu is much better than the buffet IMHO

The menu was a little confusing as to what you're actually ordering and how to order the ice cream treat. The ice cream was very tasty.. with all that comes on and in the cone it was a little sweet for me. I think if I go back again I'd ask more questions. one question I'd have is if I can pick the flavor and the options I want on and in my cone. Overall it was good, and you get a lot of ice cream.

Nothing special, good ice cream, would not recommend over anywhere else…read more Parking is rough, you need to find street parking or a parking; great location if you're commuting or just walking by. Service was non-existent and poor. Cashiers looked like they did not want to be there; they were out of strawberries which is a staple in a bunch of their cones. Cashier didn't make any recommendations to other ice cream cones of modifications to make the cones work in place of missing strawberries. I had to ask a few times to figure out if I could get a certain cone without strawberries. I got the Cheesecake Cone, it was good but very messy. I'd recommend sitting down to eat. I wasn't give a napkin or spoons but you definitely need it especially if it get hotter. The price is up there for a singular cone it's about $11, they also have optional tipping that doesn't feel optional. The restaurant is clean, but lacking in keeping you around. They have tables you can stand around outside, but the objective inside seems like to get you ice cream and get out; I'm sure it makes sense during busier times. All in all it's good, just not great. I'd come in again and when I do I hope the customer service is better.

I ordered the Chicken and Bubble Waffle, and added an Iced Horchata Latte. It took at least a good 5-7 minutes before I got my food, it was hot and fresh. And the savory chicken with sweet waffle was perfectly balanced. This was my first time having bubble waffles, and they were yummy. They were 'churro' style and had a very light cinnamon and sugar flavor. The chicken was a really good portion, hot and crispy. And there is a side of fried crispy chicken skin, ohhhhh so salty - so good! While they maybe be considered more of a sweet shop with their churro, ice cream, and boba offerings, they have a pretty good savory food menu. The staff was super nice, and I'm definitely going to come back here!! Thank you Churro Nest and Yelp! For this experience. I rarely ever go to Tempe Marketplace, so I dont know if I would have found this place otherwise! It's located across from Forever 21, and next door to piercing shop Rowan.

Churros: because life needs more magic wands made of dough and sugar!…read more As someone whose sweet tooth is on the smaller side, I like that this place has some savory options. It allows me to enjoy a snack with my friends who are all about that sugar rush lifestyle. I do recommend the breakfast bites for a sweet option. The churros are cut smaller, and you get a mountain of whipped cream and fresh fruit to dip you churros in. It's like the chips and guacamole of in the churro world. The churro-crusted churro-style Hong Kong egg waffles are a must. They drizzle a nice chipotle syrup on top, and they even give you fried chicken skin to munch on. The chicken loco moco is also good, although I suggest asking for more gravy. I'm a gravy fiend, though, so if you're about moderation, it's probably sufficient for you. Milk teas and coffee are good here, but I would pass on the syrupy fruit drinks. This place also offers adorable egg cups, so if you're a sucker for a cute Instagram-worthy beverage, this place does a good job. I like it here! I hope you like it here too. The place is a bit warm, though, so be warned. Bring a hair tie!
