The cakes are very delicious! I've tried several different cakes over the years and they have been all great. The cookies and others are OK. The staffs, though, are not so professional and some of them are pretty rude. A couple of times when I picked up cakes that I ordered ahead, I found the right cake with someone else's name. If the staffs are more professional and friendlier, the cakes and pastries will taste better. read more

This was a fun find! Had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. The eggs tasted like they just made them in the kitchen, not thawed or microwaved. Only disappointment was they were out of croissants, but the sesame bagel was an acceptable alternative. A wedge of bread pudding made a perfect breakfast dessert. read more

I've been to many bakeries in the Washington Metro area, and this bakery certainly stands out. Everything, from the kind and attentive service, to the amazing pastries which were beautifully crafted. I walked in, and was immediately greeted by a sweet young lady who patiently answered all my questions, from the price range to the details of each cake. I decided to go with the Mango-Chocolate mousse cake, which she mentioned was her favorite. I was hoping to bring something different to this past New Years party and I was honestly a bit apprehensive (first time ever trying mango mousse!). The cake was amazing to say the least, everyone loved it... and of course I humbly stepped into the spotlight :) The cake was so light, smooth, and creamy. I don't know how they came up with such a combination but, the chocolate goes perfect with the mango, very rich and perfectly sweet. It was a tough decision, the other cakes looked gorgeous and I'm sure they wouldn't have disappointed. I'm definitely going back soon to try thier pastries. Don't miss out! Go! read more

We hired passion bakery to recreate our wedding cake. They offered to work off of a picture, but I didn't have one handy, so I just told them it was your basic white wedding cake decorated with roses. They used fresh roses from the florist next door, and the cake itself was better quality than our actual wedding cake! Chocolate cake with cannoli filling and whipped cream frosting. The cake was light and moist, the whipped cream was fresh, and they were generous with the cannoli filling between layers. It was dynamite. read more

The food is average and nothing special but the service is horrendous and the workers are rude and inconsiderate. They constantly have appliances that aren't working. Also, the food takes a long time to make so you better hope there are only 2 people in front of you in the line or else your better off going somewhere else. read more

This place is terrific, though the service could be more genial. Really beautiful cakes, but we actually just stumbled in here randomly while passing by and decided we needed some cookies! The heart-shaped sugar cookies were very yummy, much better than the grocery store sugar cookie experience I was anticipating. The lemon linzer cookies are very good, as were the little ones with pockets of raspberry in them. The raisin almond cookie was to die for! The chocolate chip was good, but a little too crumbly and fluffy for me. The peanut butter was the one only that was a little disappointing, tasted a bit burnt. Also a let down was the cranberry muffin - the top was good, but once I'd eaten that I was left with just a boring cake bottom - there were ZERO cranberries beyond the top of the muffin. read more

This Bakery Cafe may serve up a good breakfast/lunch, and certainly their cakes in their display case look wonderful.... BUT my husband's custom 60th birthday cake was AWFUL. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, they copied the photo, said "Sure!", and then upon pick up...the cake looked nothing like the photo. It also tasted terrible. Try eating a cake that has a 2 inch layer of fondant. I could have 20 people from his party write a 1 star review, but why bother. I did contact the owner and his daughter who offered a half price refund. I gladly accepted and instead, they CHARGED my debit card. We are up to $193 for a disgusting birthday cake, and now the bank is involved. Good luck to you on a custom cake from this place. read more

I've seen this place for the last few years but never had the chance to stop by. Today my wife and I dropped in to check it out. What a great find. The girls at the counter were super friendly and let us sample a few items. We had some Lattes, OJ, and the absolutely best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant and my wife had a croissant with bacon in the center. We are definitely coming back to this place and would highly recommend. read more

We used Passion Bakery Cafe again for our wedding in Baltimore in Sept. 2017 and they made us the most beautiful - and delicious - 5-tier cake for such an affordable price (there's a cash discount). We had one tasting and decided on four cake-frosting combos, and let them take care of the rest. Our wedding was on Labor Day, so I think they experienced some delays from traffic (according to our wedding venue team) but they got the cake to our reception without any further problems and it was beautifully decorated with gold accents and fresh flowers just as we had requested. Our guests said it was one of the best cakes they had ever tasted. We're going to Passion Bakery Cafe for all our cake needs! read more

Today was my second visit. I had two empanadas, one chicken and one beef. Both were delicious and I especially enjoyed the light, flaky crust! Often empanadas are made with a heavy, doughy shell which I do not like. For dessert I tried one of their fruit tarts. Again the crust was flaky and not soggy. It was artfully arranged and adequately glazed. The custard was generous, if not very sweet. All in all a nice treat. I went with a cup of their coffee as an accompaniment. They offered only dark roast (not my favorite) but with sufficient milk and creamer (hint: to keep the milk products fresh they keep them in the cooler!), the beverage was hot and hit the spot. read more

I have gone to the Passion Bakery Café in the past and they have always done a good job on the custom cakes I have ordered. Today, they went above and beyond. I ordered 36 custom cupcakes with a 6" cake on top for a surprise safari themed baby shower. When I arrived this morning to pick them up the design was not what I had ordered and I went into panic mode, because the cupcake tower was the centerpiece for the decorations. Not only did Passion Bakery redesign the cake and cupcakes, the wonderful ladies found cake toppers that were perfect, AND they delivered them to my event.
