Always dabomb.com. So happy that we were able to order the holiday bento box! We can't wait to see this business grow into a storefront with a line around the block!

I came here with a friend whose parents are from the Philippines to sample the halo-halo. The employee was helpful and gave me an overview of all the dishes they had on offer that day. We started out with some pork lumpia, which were crispy and delightful. I had never tried dinuguan, but was pleased to discover this pork delicacy with tender meat and a rich sauce. The pancit was another highlight. We took home a box of buko pandan for dessert. Yum! The atmosphere is comfortably casual with tables and chairs near a counter with trays of ready to eat food. There are packaged imported goods for sale at the edge of the dining area.

Ligaya offers a special of 2 entrees and a side for about $13. I'll say that the amount of food that they give probably is enough for two meals. If you are starving, Ligaya's is the place to be. The restaurant has plenty of varieties of dishes that you can try out. To be perfectly honest, it was hard for me to settle on my two entrees, but I went with the Chicken Adobo and some pork thingy (apologies for not remembering the name). While it's about a 7 minute wait, I appreciate that they freshly fry the lumpia for each order rather than frying a batch and leaving it out for hours. Tip: If you know that you are going to be in a rush, you should pre order your food. While most folks tend to do take out orders, Ligaya's does have a few small tables if you would like to dine in. Since this is the only Filipino spot that I've visited in this area, I thought the prices were pretty good compared to other local lunch take-out places. The only downside (which is not Ligaya's fault, IMO): Ligaya's is in a busy shopping center so parking can be a bit limiting...like most places in this area.

Just faaaaannnnnttttasssiiiicccc. I'm big on bread and it was so soft. It was served on a toasted roll along with big pieces of pork with a skin that was so crispy and crackling to complement the juicy meat. The portions were huge, which surprised me. Everything is such small portions these days but it was worth the cost. You have a choice between fries and chips. The chips were not home made so I opted for the fries. They also gave me a side of sauce, which almost tasted like Big Mac sauce? The arugula also adds on to the taste. My biggest regret was not getting two! A tip is you can call ahead and place your order. If you're in a rush, just call ahead. It looked like a nice sit down establishment as well.

So I came on weekend as soon as it opened. There were only a few tables for diners. There were shelves of food and goods available to buy. Being a first timer, I had trouble to order the blackboard menu was on top of the counter, but I don't think everything was on the menu. I saw people carrying milkshakes but I couldn't find any on the menu. I ordered staff favorites Lechon kawali bowl. It came with garlic rice, sweet longanisa, a fried egg, and the signature Crispy port belly. It was good, but the garlic rice needed more flavor, because only a little sweet longanisa was added, I had to ask for extra sauce to finish the meal. Although friends vouched for the delicious food, but I found pork belly was just ok. And overall needs a bit more flavor. I also had Une custard cake which was too sweet for me. I would definitely come back to try more dishes!

I loved the spice on the crab fat lechon- wish the portion was a tad bigger tho! The fried rice, pancit, sisig, short rib, ube pancakes, and garlic rice were also fabulous. But the star for me was the fried adobo chicken. It was flavorful, crispy, and paired perfectly with the pickled veg. The pineapple ube tres leche ended the meal on a sweet note. My mistake not realizing it didn't come à la mode only downside was that the AC wasn't running well in the downstairs seating so it was quite warm. But overall, a great place to have a great meal!

Includes garlic rice & fried eggs. Not crazy about pork belly but ube pancakes & lechon kawali was good! Ube cinnamon toast: couldn't taste much ube but toast was good Ube waffle & fried chicken (+ube ice cream) - unique combo & chicken was crispy! Would dine here again whenever i return to DC.

The self-serve kiosks made ordering a breeze. Overall, I thought the prices were fine. For my order I went with the family deal A (I'm not sure what it was actually called) which included six pieces of chicken with two sides for about $21. Although I thought the chicken was pretty good, I was expecting to be blown away based on reviews that I've seen regarding the Jollibee brand. While the breading did not have much seasoning (for my personal tastes), I thought the chicken excelled in its 'juiciness'. From my experience, it's very arre for friend chicken restaurants to have falling off the bone fried chicken. YUM Customer service was pretty direct in that I did not really have a significant interaction with the staff. I placed my order through the kiosk and waited about 10 minutes for my order number to be called. Although I ordered my food to go, I thought the restaurant was very clean and well-maintained with plenty of seating. Since the restaurant is located near the Westfield Mall, there was plenty of parking, which is rare in this area. While I would not go out of my way to grab fried chicken from here, it is decent option for quickly picking up something on my way home.

If you're a fan of their menu, you'll likely enjoy it just as much here. I also tried the Ube Pie, which had a crispy exterior and a sweet, creamy filling that made for a nice dessert. The biggest downside was the cleanliness. The dining area could have been better maintained, and the bathrooms in particular were noticeably dirty. It took away from the overall experience and made the restaurant feel less inviting. The food delivered the familiar Jollibee experience, but the condition of the restaurant kept this visit from being anything more than average. I'd come back for the food, but I hope they put more attention into keeping the restaurant and restrooms clean.
