Unfortunately, they seem to have implemented a new pricing system, and my most recent visit left me very frustrated. I asked for the exact same nail design I had the week before, and have gotten several times in the past with the same nail tech, and my nails were actually shorter than they were during my previous visit. Despite that, I was told my total would be $15 more than what I paid the week before. The only difference I noticed was that a manager (a young man with long hair) appeared to be instructing my nail tech to charge more based on length, even though my nails were shorter. The sudden price increase didn't make sense to me, and I felt like I was being overcharged. Because of that, I ended up changing my service and only getting nail art on two fingers instead of all ten. I understand that businesses sometimes need to adjust pricing, but consistency and transparency matter. Charging significantly more for the same service from one week to the next, without a clear explanation, left me feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. **update As I mentioned in my original review, I've been a regular customer here for well over a year--closer to two years. Because my nails were in rough shape after spending time focused on my mom following her stroke, I decided to come back and give them another chance. Unfortunately, this visit left me even more disappointed than the last. Service:Almost as soon as I walked in, the manager approached me about my review. Instead of simply welcoming me, he questioned it and repeatedly argued that their pricing had not changed. I explained that I had been getting cat-eye nails regularly for at least six months and had never been quoted the higher price I was charged for the same design previously. I told him it was okay if he'd rather I go somewhere else, but he continued debating the issue until my nail technician was finally ready for me. Communication:The atmosphere throughout the appointment felt noticeably uncomfortable. When my technician shaped my nails, I asked politely if she could make them sharper because I prefer stiletto nails. Instead, they remained fairly rounded. After I asked again, she appeared frustrated, walked away, and the manager came over and reshaped them before she returned to finish the service. What disappointed me most was that I felt like my honest review changed the way I was treated. My usual technician, Davina, didn't even acknowledge me, and the entire experience felt tense from beginning to end. Before everything escalated, I also brought up concerns to the manager about previous appointments, but he just kind of shook his head like he was paying attention and brushed me off. Nail Quality:Since my last appointment, I had lost five nails, and it was very obvious that each time my nails had been shaped previously, Davina had filed into my nail bed--sometimes deeply--leaving lines of deep grooves in my nails. Every time she did that filing, I would get nervous because it hurt, and she would tell me to "relax" even though it was painful. I understand that businesses won't always agree with customer feedback, but customers should be able to leave an honest review about their experience without feeling uncomfortable when they return. After being a loyal customer for nearly two years, it's disappointing that this is how things ended. I'll be looking for a new nail salon.
