I asked for a pink French and my nails are unevenly filed and the line is so thick. I tried to correct it twice just to be mostly ignored. My left hand is okay looking but my right is just not right. 5 stars for me. My husband came last week to get a pedicure and had recommended this place to me. I came yesterday with my baby and I was nervous because it was my first time with him at the nail salon. I just moved here from california and had never been here before. I got a fill for my acrylic and the man who did my nails was so sweet! We got to have a nice conversation and the rest of the staff was so sweet to my son and I. The place is clean and they do a really good job. I went home and my husband told me to go tomorrow and get a pedicure. AMAZING! So relaxing. My feet are so soft and my nails look great. I've been coming here for two years now. You won't catch me anywhere else in Hampton Roads. They file the nail shape to be perfect and offer hundreds and hundreds of colors, jewels, designs. I've never had a nail lift and I put them to work with waitressing and lifting weights. They take their time and they get to know you! Very much a family atmosphere. They also just did a remodel and it's gorgeous in here! Everyone that works here is so talented. They prices are great for the work they do. read more

Anna does a great job on nails; however, overall, staff is extremely rude and intimidating so it almost isn't worth it to go there. Fashion nails... Jennifer was my nail tech and she did an awesome job. I got the spa pedicure ($45) vs the regular pedi which is $28. They use all natural products for spa pedicure, hot towels, and a hot stone massage. Very relaxing & Left my feet and legs feeling super soft. I also got a acrylic fill in with gel polish ($35). The fill in was fast, but again she did a great job. I can get a little picky when it comes to my nails, but Jennifer did awesome. The conversation was nice as well. The shop was clean and the staff were friendly. My only reason for 4/5 stars is I feel the prices are a little high for a fill in. Usually my acrylic fill ins with gel color are anywhere from $25-28. If it wasn't for the fill in price being a little too high, I'm sure I could get a few of my friends to start going here because everything else was awesome. read more

This place has excellent customer service and does a great job. Better yet prices are much better than bigger well know shops. They were really popping this afternoon, but probably normal on a Friday. Newer paint and new leather chairs make the location look much nicer. I used to get my toes done here a lot when I lived off of Shore Drive.' I liked it a lot. It's super cheesy inside, let me warn you. They have these 1980s posters on the wall. There's one in particular that kills me. It has this long blond haired muscle guy's bare back--looking like the cover of a bad romance novel--with a woman's hand with long red nails as if she's about to scratch down his back. SEXY! Anyway, as I think I said in another review, Asian nail salons like this one are more common in Virginia Beach than condos. But they're not all created equal. They never did me wrong at Fashion Nails. They're cheap, clean, efficient and they always do a good job. Don't expect to feel like you're at a fancy salon or you'll be sorely disappointed. Do expect your pedi be bangin'. You can get your own set of files and tools and keep it there in a box with your name on it so you don't need to be paranoid about cooties. Okay so Fashion Nails has been under new ownership for a while now and I have just tried them. NEVER again. I get pink and white solar nails and had a nail break (not usual for P & W nails). Thought I would get it fixed here as I couldn't get an appointment with my regular tech at Glamour Nails. Mistake, serious mistake. I allowed the fellow (they call him Papa, (weird right?)) to go ahead and do a fill-in. I can't begin to described the utter mess he made of my nails. Today, some 3 or 4 days later I went back to them to have them all soaked off. I would say without exaggeration that 8 out of 10 were mess. The only good thing I can say is that they didn't charge me for the soak off, not that I wouldn't have hollered loud and clear Don't bother if you are even remotely used to having a good job done because you won't get it here. read more

This was by far the absolute worse place I have ever been to! They are not friendly and do a horrible job. Just left and will be going somewhere else tomorrow to have nails removed!!Nails are not even fixable. They are crooked, uneven, and not the same shape. Huge chunks of acrylic behind nails and all over my skin. Complete waste of $55!! Had to redo the same nail three times and then took it off because it was still messed up. My daughter also got her nails done and I will have to take her somewhere else to get hers fixed also they are crooked, paint everywhere, nails are very wide, and they just don't look nice. Nails wise horrible I let the older lady do my nails on Saturday and this is what they look like on Sunday. Looks like I've had these for a while. My first time getting my nails done so I didn't know what they were supposed to look like. My friend told me the same they look old. I will be returning on Monday to get them redone and hopefully free of charge.......After I went back and got them "fixed" which didn't happen at all they had they same lady that mess them up redo them all she did was use the file drill and file down deeply at the base of my nails and polished over them. 2 weeks later I take the nails off and I have deep groves in my nails where she filed too deep at and polish still in them that I can't get out. Okay so I was in big need for a pedicure, I couldn't wait for the weekend which is when I was supposed to get it w my regular tech. As I'm driving on shore drive I Yelp nail salons. This place came up with only 7 reviews but good ones, So I thought I gave it a chance. 1- not many option in colors, also most colors had no names. I like to know what I am wearing in case a chip the color. Good thing I recognized some colors. 2- unfortunately the place wasn't that clean , starting with the pedicure carts, and tool boxes. I was actually starting to feel a fungus growing ( all in my head) but I stayed thinking I'm over reacting. 3- besides needing a pedicure I also wanted a foot massage, ofcourse I wasn't expecting 20 min massage. So I upgraded to the pedicure that actually said " Longer Massage" my actual pedicure part took no longer than 15min. Okay I thought she was quick, my toe nails looked ok, not the shape I asked for, the cuticles clean. So I looked at my watch and it was 3:40 she then started squeezing my foot , OH it was a massage!! my foot massage was exactly 2 minutes long!!! 2 minutes! I was expecting at least 5! Now if I had a regular pedicure I wouldn't even be complaining about the massage, 2 minutes would've been ok. But I upgraded to " longer Massage" so of-course I asked: I was told if I wanted longer I should get regular pedicure and " Add" 10 minutes massage to my pedicure! Seriously?! Then she started telling me that the upgrade , cover the oils they use... I don't care! But Because I am also in the Beauty business I know I can be a little persnickety ( if that's even a word) but I also try to think fair, and this made no sense.. So I was def not happy about what I purchase, now if I needed and bought an express pedicure it would've been fine. 4- I could really care less what language ppl speak around me, so I have never been bother by that. BUT this lady was on the phone since the beginning of my pedicure till the end, having a full conversation, laughing etc.. Now that's a different story, I find this so unprofessional and rude. I could've seriously not care if she was talking to the girl next to her but on the phone? Bluetooth and all! Not like taking calls or anything a full conversation! That's prob why she never heard when I said round the sides of my toe nails! Ugh I knew that by going to a Nail shop wasn't going to be the same as going to a spa, but seriously I didn't think it be that crappy. Got my nails done today. Was very unhappy. Told the lady they were my nails she proceeded to clip them and broke one off. Then told her I wanted CLEAR acrylic she put the wrong acrylic powder on. She did not clean the acrylic she got underneath my nails. When I asked one of the mane women about the gel. She tried to say I said not to clear acrylic gel. Yes, I said I did NOT WANT clear acrylic gel only acrylic. For $35 I should have gotten what I want and they did nothing about their nail tech messing up my nails. I will NOT BE RECOMMENDINF ANYONE TO THIS SALON AND WILL TELL THEM TO STAY AWAY. They don't listen to what you want and they don't fix their errors. Great service! I got my acrylics filled and the tech does a beautiful job! They are very welcoming and not awkward as some techs are. The place also looks very nice and comfy, I felt as if I could relax as she was doing my nails. However, despite the great nail service I received I also got my eyebrows done- this is my first time getting them waxed however, my face broke out in the area that was waved a week later. I got a basic clean up for my brows and she did a good job, although I felt like she could have shaped my eyebrows a little better though. I was still extremely satisfied with my appointment. I love going to this place, we moved back here in 2010, and this is the only place I have been going too since we got back. It is very hard to get a good nail place that does a great job as well as gives you great service. Jennifer and Twee are amazing. Twee does absolute great work, and they give great tips.
