Worst pedicure I've probably ever had. First mistake was being a walk-in, it's like they sent the random older auntie over to do my pedicure. She ran the water but wanted to dry cut my nails and do my cuticles without ever soaking my feet. The younger worker who spoke English came over when I spoke up. I tried to tell them I wanted to soak my feet first, but they insisted that this is how they do their pedicures. I should've left then. By the time I get my feet in the water, it's barely warm, and then she's ready to do the rest, so never soaked my feet. She never like scraped the junk out from under my toenails or checked for ingrowns or anything. And when she painted, it was terrible. She didn't paint to the edges of my toenails. The other younger employee had to fix it. But they seemed annoyed anytime I had to get their attention to help me. I'll never be back read more

I was hoping to find a new place to go close to my house. I wanted a new set of nails, pedicure and a facial waxing done. Tina did my pedicure first and she did a really good job on my feet. The color was really nice. Halal did the rest of my services. She was very knowledgeable about the care of nails because my nails were very damaged and sensitive. She recommended that I get the Dip instead of acrylic since that is what damaged my nails. She did an excellent job!!!! I will definitely be coming back regularly for services!!!! read more

My daughter and I were casually strolling through the mall actually on our way to Target and decided to get our nails painted. I wish I would have read the reviews before going, but I just wanted and simple manicure and my daughter wanted just her toes painted. How bad could it be? They were accepting walk ins and we were able to sit down in a chair immediately. The whole experience took about 15 minutes total, which showed. My nails weren't shaped evenly and by the time I left Target, paint was chipping off of all of my nails. I didn't even want to go back to ask them to fix it. I'm sure it was a cheaper brand of polish. When I got home I just removed all of the polish. I pretty much wasted my money. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I have visited this place 3 times. The first two times I received excellent service and my nails were beautiful. Gigi filled and re-shaped my acrylics the first time. (they were really thick and chunky from being done in another state) *forgot to take pics*. The second time, Xiam cut down, filled my acrylics, and did my pedicure. He was amazing! The third time was yesterday. I didn't get the tech's name. I went for my usual: acrylic fill and pedicure. I was describing to the tech that two of my acrylics were separating from my nail and I wanted them glued back (I would get a new set next time) he seemed to not understand what I wanted.... It wasn't until after he files the gel color off my acrylics that he tells me he is allergic to acrylic and will fill with gel instead. All the other techs were busy and other customers were waiting to be serviced. I was highly annoyed bc that's not what I wanted & what would have taken 1 hr took almost 3. The gel fill wouldn't cure properly and kept running. Tech kept fixing. When my hands were finally finished, tech "didn't know" I also wanted a pedicure. (That was the first thing I asked for when I entered the salon) He had to back track from the next customer he'd set up for her pedicure to do mine. Final price I paid for everything would have been the price had I gotten a whole new full set of acrylics. Over all my nails look good. My toes feel better. Seems yesterday was an "off day". I will continue to come here, but will make sure to not have that tech again. read more

Just left because the tip he was trying to use was not the one I wanted it was the curve ones I asked can we use the clear ones and he had a clear attitude from he's demeanor. He finally found some from someone else station. He place the tips on my nails and there was extra on the side on about 3 of my nails, he went to file he filed the extras along my nail-bed but the extend parts wasn't lining up with my nail-bed. I said it's not straight honestly they look like the duck nails and he kept on insisting that it's straight. He was about to place the acrylic on the nail. I sad can you shape it a little bit more. He said I'm not doing your nails I said okay take it off then. Then he said she can do your nails referring to a lady in the front and they proceeded to talk in their language. I paid for the take off and the removal of the tip and left.. My problem is I asked to use a different tip and he had a clear attitude and when I stated it wasn't straight he kept on insisting that it was. I said could u shape it more and he didn't want to because from he's view it was. It's my nails and if I'm asking to shape more or more use a tip you have in your shop what's the attitude for. I went here 3 times. Unfortunately I won't be revisiting this business again. The first time was absolutely wonderful... priced right, friendly staff and just relaxing. Second time.... wax burned by face and my nails chipped within 3 days (gel mani). Third time (because 3rd time is a charm, right? Wrong) within 3 days my gel mani was chipping, my French manicure was crooked and the pedicure I got .... my 2 big toes are now infected. Thought it was an ingrown toenail, nope. Infection. Used to be a regular, but the only good thing about this place is the convenience of its location. Not for sure why, but there are constantly new nail techs! And when you ask for someone specific it's automatically that they don't work there anymore. Kind of concerns me. The quality of my nails are okay, but I've been elsewhere and they've last much longer (gel manicure). Wish prices were posted proudly somewhere & that the employees were knowledgeable of them. When I moved from Chesapeake to VB I was looking for a salon to continue getting dip gel at. I stumbled upon this salon and went 2-3x this year. Most recently I had a terrible experience, one that made me never want to return to this salon again. It's a shame because this is a beautiful salon. Most of the staff are friendly, but the quality of work is subpar. The woman who did my nails last time failed to shape them correctly and did not put a base coat on my natural nails leaving me with permanent staining on my nails. I took the drive this Saturday to my old salon in Chesapeake and they spent an hour trying to remove her mistake. The picture below are the results. I'm so upset. My service at this salon is acceptable. What is not acceptable is that when you step up to use the charge machine to pay, there is a notice underneath indicating "tips in cash are appreciated." When I paid I wasn't given the opportunity to add a tip. I was told I should use their ATM machine if I didn't have cash. NO ONE SHOULD BE FORCED TO LEAVE A CASH TIP. I will not return. I visited this location while shopping at Pembroke Mall. So far I'm satisfied with my manicure. My powder dipped nails are now on week two and still looking very nice, no chipping, no lifting and no breakage. I'm pleased with the service I received. My complaint is that my cuticles were nipped a couple of times. Being an overly health conscious person by nature and a healthcare professional my main concern was possible infection. However, thus far all fingers and nails are intact. I haven't had any signs or symptoms of infection. No redness, swelling, no excessive bleeding, fever nor odor. So the question is will I go back? Yes, I will give them another try. Be careful of cutting the cuticles too deep as well as any breakage of the clients skin. I would only emphasize the importance of continuously maintaining clean technique while performing services. Now this is my third time coming to this nail salon. The first time they did not have enough people working so I left. The second time was great and we even scheduled an appointment for my birthday. Which brings me to today, my birthday the scheduled appointment, my third visit and LAST visit. They were in such a hurry to try and assist some other walk-ins they never asked which pedicure type we wanted and rushed through the pedicure and finished our feet before someone who was already midway through her pedicure. The lady that sped through my mom's pedicure did so bad her polish all peeled off before we could leave and she had to get them all done over. First and LAST time here.My friend and I went to this place wanting a simple pedicure and for me to get my acrylic nails taken off with a manicure and finished off with gel... when he (didn't catch his name) was pushing up my cuticles he did it in such a rough manner that it hurt and told him multiple times. Was very rough with my hands as well. He painted one nail on each hand at a time and had me switch between LED it was so weird I've never seen that before and when I asked about he he just told me "it's okay" seemed weird and time consuming. I left there with MULTIPLE cuts on my toes and hands. The toe on my right foot is now super red and sore. I've gone to Nail Works for my nails, a pedicure, and eyebrow waxing, which no issues. I decided to try their lash service. HORRIBLE IDEA! I told the lady I wanted a natural look and she put too many individual/cluster lashes on so I was not happy with the service. She cut them down to make them look natural. During this time my eyes were burning and starting to turn red. She told me to keep my eyes closed and put a fan on them. There wasn't much that could be done because of the glue. I was charged $50 but later saw on the website the service is only $35. As the day went on my eyes continued to be red, burn, and start to feel swollen. I woke up today, the next day to swollen eye lids. The lashes were stuck even after trying coconut oil to remove (which worked well for lashes before.). I saw an article about someone having a similar bad experience because someone used nail glue. I was horrified but tried Acetone to see if it would work... AND IT DID! She used NAIL GLUE on my lashes! I will be reporting this business to the better business bureau and licensing departments because this is a health violation. I will never go back there again. Please DO NOT get their lash services!!! read more
