Does Pasta And...have a corkage fee? Can we bring our own wine?

Well they have extensive bottles of wine there so perhaps they don't want you to bring your own wine but to be honest I'm not sure I would suggest you call them when we were there we each had a glass of wine and that was enough and they have very…

Do you have to dress classy?

    I would say casual/classy... it's a romantic spot

Is there a bar you can actually sit at to eat/drink? It's difficult to tell from the pictures.

Yes. There is a separate room that looks like a speakeasy. Very cool.

It was our first time at Divieto ... although my husband thinks we've been there before. (Ummmm,…read moreno, no we haven't.) Anyway, in any case, we enjoyed it thoroughly, and that's why I'm doubling down that we haven't been there before - we would have been back! It was our anniversary and a Saturday, and fortunately we went early enough to avoid the rush. The hostess was lovely and, when I mentioned we usually like to sit at the bar, she said not to worry about our reservation and sit wherever we like. We ended up at a table because the bar was pretty crowded and we wanted a more quiet evening. So, Ben was our server and he was fantastic! He gave me a solid recommendation when I asked for his opinion, he was attentive without being a pest, and he had a great personality. I don't rave about a server, but he was a gem! We had a Caesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs and calamari. My husband said the spaghetti and meatballs were very good and the calamari was one of the best I've had anywhere - totally crunchy yet tender. (Thank you, Ben, for the recommendation!) The meal is served with a crusty bread and oil with balsamic, and I love a crusty bread. We were treated to an anniversary dessert of a brownie with ice cream, and who doesn't like that?! Anyway, it truly was a nice evening. I can understand why the reviews are so positive, and it's always a pleasant surprise when expectations are not only met but exceeded!

Finding ACTUALLY good pizza in South Florida has been hard. Especially when my husband (from…read moreBrooklyn) can never really find a place that sticks out to him.... Until today. Wow. I'm writing this on my way back home and honestly, just recalling the meal keeps giving me the warm and fuzzies. I originally went to Bella Roma because they had Khachapuri on the menu which is pretty rare. The only other place I've had it that is actually good is KavKaz, this one was better! First of all because of their ingredients and their crust. It's perfectly crisp but also airy, combined with the cheese and the egg, wow. It's honestly addicting and I wish I would have gotten another one. BUT THEN THIS HAPPENED! My husband loved the crust on this that he said, the pizza had to be good. Oh and he was right. That crust, ZERO FLOP which is rare when you pair it with stracciatella! It held up. We ate an entire pie of the spicy pep and honestly... I was tempted to order another khachapuri. This only happens when you go to places that use good ingredients. Kind of like what happens when you eat pasta and pizza in Italy. It's HIGH QUALITY. My husband said it reminded him of L'industrie Pizzeria. Which is a HUGE honor. Especially from him. He's usually super critical. My only wish would have been some hot honey with my pizza but tbh, that would have been gluttony. The place was TOOO good. We also tried their sandwiches because their bread is baked in house EVERY DAY. How they managed to make chicken parm sandwich feel light is pure magic. Wow. I heard this place has been open for a while but they have new management and WOW. Idk how it used to be but THIS IS AMAZING. The chef knows what he's doing. I'll be making the drive from Miami to this place AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Located along State Rd. 7 (441), Mannino's Pizza is a small restaurant offering a variety of dishes for dine in, take out, and delivery. They also cater. There was a group of people dining inside when I entered. I asked a male employee for a take out menu to place my order. The shrimp parmigiana with pasta sounded real good. The dinner entree was served with my choice of soup or salad and garlic rolls. The soup wasn't listed on the menu so I asked what kind of soup do they have. "Pasta fazool", he said quickly. Pasta what? "Pasta fazool", he repeated. He had that real New York/Italian accent. Seems like that was the only soup they had...hope I like it. It was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind sitting in such a relaxed atmosphere. As I reached home, I went into the kitchen to taste test the food. Here are my thoughts: Garlic rolls - a little oily; but was warm, soft, and lightly covered in minced garlic and herbs...yummy Realizing "pasta fazool" was Pasta Fagioli - very hearty soup full of pasta, beans, and tomato Shrimp Parmigiana with pasta - a dish I thoroughly enjoyed. Pasta was al dente and covered in a delicious zesty tomato sauce. Shrimp was breaded, cooked nicely, and topped with same zesty tomato sauce and covered with cheese. The whole meal tasted like it was cooked to order, which now I didn't mind waiting for 30 minutes...was well worth it.

Coming back years later, it still didn't disappoint! From the incredibly tender tripe to the pasta alla vodka, lemon chicken, and gnocchi with truffle sauce, everything was delicious. Authentic, flavorful Italian food and a wonderful evening--this time with the approval of another Italian!

She made sure our glasses stayed full and actually asked everyone (we were 26 people) if everything was good/did we want anything. She had it together and made our experience golden. Before we went, I looked at the pics on Yelp and thought that the nosebleed prices for simple ingredients and the casual decor didn't seem to go together. And the menu is limited. I thought we were about to waste a lotta money on basic dishes - because we don't eat meat or chicken, our choices were even more limited. But we were part of a large group and we were looking forward to seeing our friends there. So we went and had a GREAT TIME! Look, I was wrong to suspect that this was a casual place with casual food. Its the best of both worlds because it is on the casual side but the food is formal as hell. The pinot noir that my husband ordered and the Don Julio 1942 tequila that I ordered over an ice ball were just right. The bread and pasta are made inhouse. I think the desserts are too. The sauces are the secret to the sparkle of each dish. Our friends ordered the zucchini flowers and went nuts dragging the bread in the gorgonzola sauce. I had the Pasta Siciliano, a fat, heavy, fresh ruffled pasta holding a sauce made of caramelized onions cut so thin they were like feathers, roasted and sauteed eggplant, black olives that were still hard, reduced tomato sauce and a dollop of ricotta. Clearly the person who put the cheese on top of the pasta knows I love fresh ricotta. My husband's grilled salmon, done exactly medium as requested, was a bullseye. I'd order that in a second. He said the spinach and roasted potatoes on the plate were 'delicious'. We split a tiramisu, which was a lightly flavored, fresh dessert. After dinner, we were serenaded and encouraged to join, which our table of 26 gladly did. It was a little post-dinner relaxation with dinner-mates. OR a bit loud and disorderly, as if the whole restaurant was a little drunk. I think it was that the food was great (seriously, we already plan to return), the service was freaken stellar and it was worth every penny, as shocking as it sounds. I am a believer now. It was that good.

The ambiance gives off fancy, but the food wasn't worth the prices. I will say that their bruschetta is fantastic (did not take a photo). The large pieces of shaved parmesan with the pungent garlic mixed in the tomato and basil was delicious. I also really enjoyed my espresso martini (did not take a photo). The soup I ordered took forever to come out (did not take a photo). As we were waiting for our food, two tables surrounding us sent their food back so that worried us. As a result of that, it felt like it took longer than usual to get our meals since I'm sure the kitchen was scrambling to re-fire the meals sent back. My boyfriend ordered the lamb special and I went with the rigatoni alla bolognese. He enjoyed the lamb, but I was not impressed with the pasta. It wasn't horrible, but the pasta did not taste homemade or worth the money. Server seemed bored and uninterested. Did not offer to make any recommendations, but did give us free dessert of our choice for my boyfriend's birthday, so that was nice. The owner and other members of the staff personally delivered the complimentary key lime pie and sang him happy birthday. Would I return, nah.
