This review pains me. I didn't want to write this one, but it's necessary to inform others of the risk dining at this location. Last Saturday evening, my husband and I ordered dinner here (to go). Unfortunately, while eating his pasta, my husband bit into a sharp piece of metal that pierced his gum. The object was rusty and had signs of having been cooked along with the food. It was sharp. Given the time of night and the restaurant's 10 PM closing time, we weren't able to call immediately. I contacted the restaurant first thing the next morning, not to complain or demand compensation, but to notify them of a serious contamination issue that may lead to a medical emergency. I called first thing Sunday. The girl on the phone listened to what happened and put me on hold to speak with her manager. I was told the manager was too busy to speak with me. The response was nonchalant. The staff member I spoke with apologized, but there was no urgency or concern about investigating how this happened or ensuring other diners weren't affected. She didn't even ask which dish it was until I offered the information myself. I was told that the owner would be in touch. That call never came. I am not confident they even checked their kitchen. I understand that accidents happen. The way a restaurant handles those accidents speaks volumes about its integrity and professionalism. Unfortunately, there was a complete lack of accountability or follow-up. I waited a couple of days to see if anyone would reach out. No one has. I no longer feel safe dining at Pasta House Farmington, which is disappointing given how much I've enjoyed this location over the years; however, if this is how serious food safety issues are handled, other patrons deserve to be aware. UPDATE: I added two stars to this review because the owner contacted me today. I appreciate that she was professional, thorough, and took the situation seriously. She expressed genuine concern, assured me that she would investigate the issue fully, and emphasized her commitment to ensuring this does not happen again. I used to love coming here. Although after how awful of service I received, I now refuse to dine at this establishment. The waitress named Shannon messed up half our drinks after taking 15 minutes to greet our table. She hardly checked in on our table for refills. We had been there for over an hour and still didn't receive or main food. She gave no updates about the food until I asked the hostess to talk to a manager. The sweet and kind hostess took my information and was very helpful during this. As she was finishing taking my information the waitress came up and marked out my complaint and put her own version of the complaint instead and then proceeded to bicker at me. When I came in latter to talk to someone about what happened, I was greeted with the owner. After our conversation it felt like nothing was going to be done or that they were apologetic. I also talked with multiple staff in passing when my information was taken, it seems like the waitress is creating a hostile work environment and the owner placates it. It has been 5 years since I lasted tried Pasta House. It was bad then, and it is still bad. This time we tried lunch. I ordered Eggplant Parmigiana and the house salad. My husband ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, salad and fries. The eggplant was breaded, fried and cooked through. The problem was there was just a smear of sauce and maybe a tablespoon of mozzarella cheese on top of each (two) pieces. Very disappointing. Had the most amazing burger here!!! I ordered the Bacon & Cheddar Burger with Gorgonzola and sautéed onions, no bun. It was really really good, one of the best burgers I've ever had. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana with broccoli. We also had the cheesy bread as an appetizer and the double chocolate cake for dessert. My eggplant was really good. It was lightly breaded and had a nice, fresh taste. It needed some salt but no big deal. The broccoli was meh. It needed salt as well. I liked the cheesy bread. They use a smoky mozzarella (I think) which adds a nice tone to the flavor. The chocolate cake was absolutely the best prt! Very good. If you go here you should definitely get it. The service was good but I do have a couple of complaints. It was expensive! It cost us $70 to eat here. Now, if I'm eating at some famous place known for its amazing food then I get it. Been eating at The Pasta House in Farmington, MO for longer than I can even remember. I usually always get the same dish - Rigatoni Roma . . . tubular pasta noodles (my favorite) with red meaty sauce, great seasoning, and a nice portion of cheese on top of the dish. LOVE MY CHEESE! They even serve their dinner tolls to you out of a basket, by hand. Of course, I just wish she would set the basket down, along with another plate of butter for the rolls and disappear. The service is always good and they have stopped maintaining their smoking section inside the restaurant. YES - those of you in St. Louis might freak out about this, but as of January 14th, no more smoking inside the restaurant. I was told it was in place for ALL Pasta House locations. I have been eating at Pasta House since the mid 80's and with all honesty over the years the quality of their food has really decreased, I still choose to eat there because despite my views on their food quality it is still good, however it seems like their prices have changed over the years but not for the better. I have eaten at this location 2 times, and both times I have had mediocre service. I don't know if its because it was loaded with a bunch of prom like kids, but we did seem to wait forever for refills and even just routine check backs to see how we were doing. I ordered the Spaghetti which I hadn't had in a while, and overall the taste was a little bland. I normally eat the Caneloni or when I am feeling like spending a little bit of money I will order the Chicken Marsala. I will continue to patronize The Pasta House Co. however I will most likely steer clear of this location and keep to the ones that I know will offer the better service. read more

We ordered curb side pick up and the gal who took our order was very pleasant and provided instructions on where to park when we arrived. We arrived a few minutes early and they were already processing our order so it arrived on time and as requested; 2 large pasta house salads and garlic cheese bread, 4 rolls and butter. The garlic cheese bread was yummy. Unfortunately, the salad quality hasn't changed. The ingredients are great but it's the same soggy mess, sitting in a puddle of watered down dressing; the same as the last time I had eaten at any of the Pasta Houses.
