First time here yesterday Sunday afternoon. Great menu options, we sat in the bar area over the dining room. My husband had the chicken and shrimp cacciatore and it looked and tasted great. I had the veal piccata with spaghetti which was delicious but I like mine a little more lemon flavor. They offered toasted warm bread with butter or olive oil with garlic. It was delicious. After many years of going by and never stopping in, we decided to go to Pasta Loft for lunch. The foyer or lobby when you first walk in is extremely old and carpet is very soiled. Not a great first impression. Its pretty puzzling for first timers because you have to walk all the way in down a hallway, past the bar to find where someone to seat you. There is seating upstairs and downstairs. We sat upstairs by a window that looked out at the outdoor patio. We got soft drinks to start. We decided to get clam chowder to share. It was OK. I was not super hungry so I got a quesadilla. Hubby got Chicken Parmesan. My quesadilla was average and I ate a few pieces. Hubby said his Chicken Parmesan was very good. I have had dinner there at least once a week for the past several months and lunch too. I have never had a complaint about the food, the drinks or the service. I've tried everything on their menu once or twice and I've never been disappointed. The staff is super friendly from the owner to the wait staff, the pizza makers and the cooks. The server as always was great, I did have a bad experience with the kitchen. I ordered one of their specials which was prime rib. I understand prime rib can be tricky to cook to order. I ordered rare or medium rare. Mine was well done. I order prime rib rare or medium rare with the expectation that if it has already been cooked to medium or medium well the chef will instruct the waiter to have the customer pick another meal, not deliver what they have. I failed to get my point across to the waitress that my issue was not with her. I am afraid she took it personally and for that I am sorry. read more

I go to Pasta Loft on a regular basis and usually they are very good. My wife enjoyed her meal but mine was very lack luster. I ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza with extra chicken.it had very little chicken on the pizza and the picture I'm including shows what a disappoint it was.... Every time I go there, I order pizza and it is usually very very good but I've noticed when Patrick the owner is not there the staff slips a bit and specifically the person cooking pizza. I tried to leave a comment on their website, but apparently you cannot leave comment to give them a heads up when they are not doing a good job. That pizza was embarrassing..... Patrick you business is better than this. This is the third time in six months I have ordered and paid for extra toppings and didn't get them.... I expect to pay for extra, but when I get less than what is supposed to be there....please. My next pizza review for Pasta Loft will be on One Bite.... The center of the restaurant is open w wooden flooring and no barriers for the noise but folks there were having a great time. Our group all liked the food: prime rib, baked haddock and Caesar Chicken salad. Adequate parking. A ramp makes this restaurant handicap accessible. Value for what you receive - generous portion, well prepared, our waitstaff was terrific. Not impressed w another waitress who was maskless making a general announcement to patrons in the main area of the restaurant her dissatisfaction of having to wear a mask. "Exercising of my rights to my boss to not wear a mask at work". We don't care, do the patrons need this drama? We are out to enjoy dinner, friends and family, a happy time at the Pasta Loft. Located in East Hampstead, the Pasta Loft serves solid good Italian American fare and brick oven pizza at moderate prices in a casual setting. The restaurant has two areas, the Brick House Tavern in the front and the main dining rooms in the back. The Brick House Tavern has a loud and busy atmosphere. There's table seating around the bar, TVs, digital jukebox, and the open brick oven pizza kitchen (you can watch them make pizzas). Drink specials are offered here, as well as live entertainment on some nights. On Tuesdays, it's Hoot Night (7PM-10PM) when it's open mic & bring your own acoustic guitar and $2 beers. The main dining area is a good place to enjoy a nice relaxing meal without the craziness in the tavern. Each table has red linen table cloth covered a brown paper sheet cover and candlelight. Kids can ask for crayons and doodle right on the brown paper, similar to Romano's Macaroni Grill. My dinner favorite is the Pasta Loft's Combo ($18.95) which offers a sampling of traditional Italian food including lasagna, real veal parmesan, chicken parmesan, meatball, & sausage topped with a very hearty and rich meat sauce and served with a side of pasta (spaghetti, ziti, linguine or bowtie) with sauce. We had my son's rehearsal luncheon at the Pasta Loft. Pat could not have been nicer to uS! The food was so good! We had a garden salad and a Ceasar salad, both were crisp cold and delicious. Our party seemed to like the Ceasar more, and when I asked if we could get another one, it came out very quickly. The chicken tenders were not battered like most places, they were breaded and seasoned like a chicken cutlet. Very juicy and tasty. They were a big hit with dipping sauces on the side. Again I had to order more, because it was such a big hit, and Pat accommodated us without a problem. But the real star of the show were the brick oven pizzas! The white pizza was the most popular, but every one had a crisp crust with a satisfying chew, and the toppings were amazing. Our waitress Cassie was friendly and efficient, keeping our party well supplied with drinks, and anything else we asked for. She was wonderful to talk with and I feel fortunate that she waited on us. We had a party of 26, and she seemed to handle it effortlessly! We have eaten at the Pasta Loft before and loved the food. I'm so glad we had our special event there. The service wasn't the best we waited 45 minutes for food and when we got it to our table it was the wrong food! They duplicated the table before ours order and we waited over an hour for food and the garlic bread was oily. LOOK AT WHAT YOU'RE SERVING AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CLEAN YOUR OVEN. A Grilled Chicken Caesar wrap and BBQ Pizza both featured bad tasting, cooked from frozen chicken. Service and quality are way off as the place seems to be short-staffed on adult leadership. No one was feeling well after this meal. I don't think we'll be back and no longer recommended. Alfredo sauce is mediocre at best, and $21 for mediocre sauce, pasta, and a small piece of chicken is absurd. Also $11 for a Ceasar Salad with hardly any cheese or croutons and a small side of dressing is also way overpriced. And their deserts, 3 pieces of cake that were obviously not made fresh, and were dried out and stale tasting for $20 was it. This place is a hot mess. Pizza is still is the draw here. Returned last night. Place was packed, had to wait for a table- we wanted to eat out on the deck since it was nice. The place is far from relaxing. Staff are actually RUNNING by your table with food, drinks, rush rush, rush. Rolls were promised and forgotten. Chopped salad was poor at best- with big end and rusty white rinds of lettuce- with forgotten ingredients (bacon) served in a hot bowl. Clearly made in haste. Silverware not replaced. Had dinner here last night with my wife. The Mediterranean salad was so fresh, which we split and still had leftovers. Ordered the Chicken piccata to split, and they came out on two plates with a delicious chicken cooked franchise style with capers, on a pile of linguine.
