The shell pasta with tomato vodka sauce was the star - the sauce was incredibly fresh, coating each curl perfectly with just the right kick. The penne with artichoke pesto was good but personally I enjoyed the tomato sauce more; the baked pesto was a bit heavier and didn't hit the same way. Stopped into the Pasta Supply shop a couple months ago after running errands in the neighborhood. I was mesmerized by the display cases of pasta noodles, savory sauces, spreads and sides. It's a very nice place, simple interior with beautiful display cases and a few of hardworking staff in the kitchen. I decided to order the 4 cheese raviolis, the spicy olives, the burrata spread, a loaf of fresh ciabatta, the white sauce and the lamb ragu. I was really happy with the selection and went home to prepare an easy dinner for 4. My order was only to go, but the service was so friendly and helpful that I almost bought everything I craved and had to hold back. I might even go back again today! read more

Have come here twice for dinner, would say it's more on the non-traditional side as things all have a tinge of spice which is uncommon for Italian food. Cute interior and kind staff that are helpful about menu questions. Overall I think the sauces were a little loose and under-salted for my liking. Ciabatta was great, cheesy garlic bread was burnt the first time and chewy the second, all the pastas have a nice al dente, hot mess meatballs are solid. Dropped in here by chance, butc what good fortune! The place was bustling, but it turned out a big group was just leaving, so we ended up seated quickly. Service was outstanding, and pacing was perfect. We started with a salad and the cheesy bread (amazing!), and then tried two pasta dishes - the kabocha squash pillows, and pasta with vodka sauce. Went here for a weekday dinner since I was stopping nearby for something else. You have to order before being seated and they only seat complete parties. Luckily, it wasn't too busy of a night so was able to get seated right away. We ordered the mafaldine with short rib (5/5 and would order again) and fusilli with tomato vodka sauce (4/5). Yum! I love this little neighborhood spot in the Mission - they have freshmade pasta you can take home, as well as a few tables to dine in. The staff is very friendly and has been totally fine with me ogling the to-go pastas and not buying anything in the past. But this time I did indeed dine in and really enjoyed the pastas. The spicy fusilli vodka pasta was pretty standard and good, and the mafaldine pasta with beef cheek sugo was very creamy and savory -- super rich with every bite. The pastas are pretty al dente, which is how I enjoy my pastas. Funnily enough, my favorite was the garlic bread -- insanely crispy and garlicky/cheesy, soo good. Would love to come back! Visited at 5:30 PM on a Thursday to grab things to make dinner and there wasn't anyone ahead of us in line. The staff behind the counter had great recommendations and there was a wide variety of options to choose from. We got: malfadine, chicken and prosciutto tortelli, impossible meatballs, hot mess garlic butter, and the olive oil panna cotta (total =$64). The recommended cook times for the pasta made for veryy al dente pasta. The pasta tasted fresh, with the tortelli being my favorite and malfadine (which was recommended as a popular choice) being my second pick. The panna cotta was decent, but the grapefruit was definitely necessary as the flavor profile without it was a bit one dimensional even with the pink peppercorns. The sauces are where it's at! I booked the family-style Pasta Table for my birthday, and it was SUCH a good call. I'm honestly surprised more people aren't talking about this!? Amelia made everything super easy from the start: she sent a menu survey ahead of time, was really accommodating with a time and headcount change, and was overall just great to work with. The dinner itself was amazing. The space feels semi-private (tucked behind the pasta case), which made it perfect for our group of 9. The table itself was gorgeously set with candles, flowers, and all the little details that made it feel really special. They even customized the menus to say "Happy Birthday Taylor," which was such a fun touch. The food was incredible, and there was SO much of it, no one left hungry. The wine was flowing, the vibes were perfect, and our servers were great. It felt special without being stuffy at all. They also sent us home with fresh pasta, which was the cherry on top. Everyone had the best time, and I would 100% do this again. Heads up, this is only available at the Mission location. 11/15/2025 Sat. Lunch We were supposed to get Pho but we changed our mind and ended up going to Pasta Supply. A very cute pasta shop that sells fresh and dried pasta but also has a kitchen on the side where you can get lunch. You ordered first then grab a table on your own and they will bring your order to your table. Super friendly cashier who also delivered our food to us. Basically she does everything from taking your order, deliver your food, and clean up the tables so folks, please tip. Side: Big juicy meatballs with tomato and pancetta / baguette - came with 3 meatballs and it was well made, tender, and juicy. I should have asked what was the meat blend they use. Pasta #1 Penne with pancetta - this one ok, sauce a bit on the drier side, flavor was there though. Pasta #2 Lasagna of the day with pork and one other meat blend bolognese - one of the best lasagna I've ever had. Not overly acidic that's important as many places made it with too much tomato sauce that overpowered the dish. I'd have loved to get their desserts if I didn't already have a planned dinner, next time. They also have their own olive oil brand. I asked for some to go with the bread and pasta. I really liked it and will buy their olive oil after I finish my stash at home. It will be lovely if they have fresh Parmesan for the pasta dish. Their menu is seasonal so they might not have the same thing every time. I will totally go back. Parking is a pain though. This area gets so busy around lunch time. read more

There's also a variety of sauces that look fresh and based on the dish I had the sauce was delicious. Very nice people at the counter. I have bought so many items to bring home to try and so far it has been a great experience. I've had the vegetarian squash blossom lasagna and the sauce was beautiful with a lemony flavor. We tried the parpadelle with hen and pork sugo - noted that the instructions for noodle cook time seems to favor a very al dente bite and I would probably cook 1-2 mins longer for a slightly softer pasta. We had the beef cheek sugo, mushroom sugo, and sungold and squash blossom sugo sauces - each very good flavors. We tried the pork belly tortelli, sweet pea mezzeluna and the reginette pastas. I've tried the original Pasta Supply Co. in the Richmond and remembered loving the texture, so I was super thrilled that a location opened up in my own neighborhood! We had the "destroyed bread" as an appetizer which was essentially a fried hunk of bread doused in tomatoes and topped with burrata. It was super olive oil-y and crispy yet a bit soggy from the tomato (in a good way) For pastas, the first one we tried was the mafaldine with butter and parm and a scoop of the beef cheek sugo (this is a must). We got this one at the original location and it was our favorite pasta that we tried, so we had to get it again and it did not disappoint. The shape is so fun and the squiggles really pick up all the buttery cheese sauce. The sugo is super tender and adds some meatiness that we really loved. The other pasta we got was the hot mess spaghetti and meatballs. This was pretty tasty as well but not what I expected -- it came in a rich pool of buttery sauce. It was not bad but I'm not sure I'd get it again. The one thing in common with the pasta dishes is how perfectly cooked the pasta was! This place has really perfected their al dente pasta, it's honestly some of the best pasta texture I've had in the city. They also bring you a packet of chili flakes which had some really good heat and were so good that we brought the rest home! One other thing that I loved is that the tip is built into the cost -- so the price you see is truly the price you pay. Definitely something I hope more restaurants in SF start doing! read more

My husband really like the idea of this pasta shop, so he has been picking up their pastas and sauces for quick dinners occasionally. I have mixed feelings about it. The sauces have been good, the fillings for the various stuffed pastas have all been good. The prices seem reasonable. The selection seems good. But the pasta. It's thick. Thick, like on my Atlas pasta machine there are 2 or 3 more steps of thinness. The instructions say cook for 3 or 4 minutes. Tonight we cooked our porkbelly tortellini for 25 minutes. and it was still plenty toothy. I mean, rustic is a thing, but this is so beyond that in my opinion. And this has been over the course of a dozen experiences. Not a one off. I would buy the sauce and cook a good dry pasta for the sauces. But then you miss the wide selection of ravioli, tortellini and other filled shapes. I really wish they would either offer "rustic" and "refined" pasta options, or just dial it down a little bit, literally, dial down the roller settings and give it another run thru! I bet you would get more repeat business. read more

Came here for a solo dinner after a craving for regular degular pasta. I arrived shortly after dinner service started and got sorted out quickly with the team upfront and was shown to a table. I wanted a pre bite and went for their regular bread which was unremarkable. Good for soaking up sauce but if you want something to nosh on before dinner, I'd suggest something else. My bone to pick with them is that I had my heart set on a red sauce and was brought spaghetti and meatballs in a creamy sauce. It was fine, but not what I wanted so it unfortunately didn't meet my expectations. But to go I picked up some fancy noodles and their spicy vodka sauce and THAT is what I wanted and was hoping for. It all came together quickly and nicely at home and hit the spot wonderfully. A great pasta shop on Clement street. They have tons of vegetarian pasta options, and I ordered the cannelloni because the server mentioned it's seasonal and will be off the menu within a week or so. I really liked the cannelloni which was stuffed with ricotta and had plenty of zucchini and squash as well. They're both a dine in restaurant and a to go pasta shop. There's a good amount of seating for dine in (probably seats ~20) and they also have tons of food you can buy to go - from pasta, to sauce, veggies and impossible meatballs. They let you know they're a "true cost" restaurant where the price you see is what you pay - no tipping. The pasta shape IS SO COOL and really fun to eat, but I thought the pasta was a bit hard to chew. They take your order at the door before you sit down, and the staff were super kind about answering questions about the menus and giving recommendations. The portions were great -- we all left sufficiently full. Mafaldine "Butter + Cheese" pasta with a scoop of Beef Cheek-Mushroom Sugo: 5/5, my favorite of the night. The beef was so tender, and I loved this pasta shape for this sugo! The pasta was perfectly al dente. Very clear why this is one of their most popular dishes! Ricotta Cannelloni "Blossom": 4/5, a more unique choice! It's a baked pasta, and they did a great job on balancing the crispness without overcooking it. Lemon flavor comes through nicely, and it was beautiful presentation-wise. Fusilli in Spicy Vodka Tomato with Four Nice-Sized Juicy Shrimp: 3/5, it was good but not exceptional. I liked the sauce, just not sure the shrimp were worth an extra $9. Overall, I had a good time but sometimes it was hard to get staff attention since there weren't too many servers for how many people were there. I loved how they assure you that tipping is not an option here because they pay their employees well (which is also evident in their higher price points) -- happy to support businesses that make taking care of their employees a priority. We ordered 5 out of the 6 pasta dishes. We loved the perfect al dente pasta but thought some of the sauces fell a tad short on flavor. Of the dishes the baked squash and lemon lasagna dish was standout. It was slightly sweet, bright and creamy. The second favorite would have to be the spicy vodka! (PSC) in Inner Richmond has been on my list to go to but it's a long trek to get to so I'm happy that they've opened a second location in The Mission (took over Dumpling Club). The owner-chef is a Delfina and Locanda alum so you know the pasta is going to be legit. PSC is a modern pasta shop selling over 30 housemade pastas with many varieties that you will not find elsewhere in the bay like thick, chewy Busiate or Salt Cod Plumpers (raviolis). And, they have over a dozen housemade sauces. Pastas are sold in 10 oz. boxes for $8.75 and filled pastas are sold 12 oz. boxes for $16.75. Sauces are $8.50-$15.50. Cooking instructions are on each box label. You can freeze the pasta and sauces. They also sell housemade bread (pan'terra), olive oils, spices, condiments, and wine. After 5 pm, they have dinner service (fast-casual). On the menu: anti-pasti (olives, salad, burrata, meatballs, etc), six fresh pastas, and two desserts. Wine available at retail price. Food: Nduja Hummus - super creamy, velvety and smooth, nduja was pretty spicy so not for those who are spice sensitive, served with slices of focaccia, a delicious way to start the meal Destroyed Bread - toasted focaccia bread soaked in grated tomato, olive oil and burrata, a pan con tomate that was super tasty, eat this quickly before it goes soggy Mafaldine with Black Truffle Butter & Pecorino - really tasty and pasta was al dente with a nice chewy texture, buttery and savory umami with truffle, pecorino added a nice salty sharpness Rigatoni with Lamb Ragu - this was good, nice tomato base, savory and rich, no gaminess, a nice red sauce option if you visit, I added a little red pepper flake to my serving which helped to round out the profile Corn Ravioli - this was okay, pasta was a bit too al dent on this dish, ravioli was a little light on filling and under seasoned for my taste was really hoping for a burst of sweet corn flavor would skip this dish was a bit disappointing Meatballs - delicious, super juicy and simmered in tomato sauce, we didn't actually place an order for this but the servers were so nice they gave us a miss fire so definitely order some for the table Service was good, water was consistently refilled, food came out fairly quickly and staff was friendly and checked in on our table throughout the meal. It was pretty busy so not the best spot to sit and linger. Overall this was more of a 3.5 star experience, had higher hopes for the pasta dishes overall. LOVE! We love Pasta Supply Co and have been waiting for the Mission location to open. The price you see is the price you pay - no extra fees / tax / tip. They told us that they actually pay their crew a decent $$ and I am very happy to hear that. Previously we've gotten pasta and sauce to go and cooked at home - delicious btw. I wanted to go in to get a taste test of how the chefs do it, so the next time we make the pasta, we can cook it to roughly the same texture. The night we went, we had some delicious mafaldine "butter and cheese"with beef cheek sugo and the classic spaghetti & meatballs. Both were excellent choices. The spaghetti & meatballs was rather light and refreshing, and *chefs kiss* to the beef cheek sugo - absolute must get! We didn't get dessert this time (b/c we were so full!) - the panna cottas certainly looked enticing and a must get next time. You bet we'll be back soon for dine in, and no brainer for to-go. Tried pasta supply for a group dinner and really enjoyed the set menu. There was a lot of different variety from the apps to the entrees. I will say the pasta and dishes try to add a twist so there are some interesting flavors. The spaghetti and meatballs and ravoli dishes were some of my favorite. Service was excellent and the ambiance was cozy for our group. Would recommend group dinners here for those interested! read more

Oh my absolute lord. My husband and I stubbled upon this place by chance only looking for a quick good bite to eat. Walking in it is a beautiful place. They do have restrooms for customers which when you go you walk by the kitchen area and can see the chefs prepping and making the fresh pasta and noodles. Pricing is so good for the taste. I have NEVER had pasta and a ciabatta as good, fresh, and absolutely marvelous as this place. My husband and I shared the plate of Baked Spinach and Artichoke Pene and a Meatball Marinara Ciabatta and this was SO SO SO DELICIOUS! The highlight of food the entire weekend in San Francisco! The meatball tasted to fresh and I believe they specially make the meatball in house as well as the pasta because it was that fresh and tasted so good. Came here with some friends on a recommendation that they had great food. The food was fresh and did taste ok, but there were some peculiar parts of the visit. First, you can't be seated without everyone present. Not too unusual, but I think we had a reservation. Very understandable given how small the dining area is. Second, no tipping, but the prices are much higher in order to compensate for wages. This is actually something I can get behind, but I do feel that the prices are too high for what we get even knowing about this setup. For the meal itself, I'm the food was ok. In some cases the sauces were nearly indistinguishable, which was odd since we ordered 3 different things. I hardly found any bacon in my dish that featured smoked bacon. The meatballs were good tho. Overall, decent food but very expensive, even for SF but there is a reason why. Also, I'm deducting a star due to the political signs they posted out front. I'm all for free speech and this restaurant has their right to post what they'd like in support of their candidate, but the sign made it clear that half the population shouldn't eat here. Pasta Supply Co is my partner's favorite restaurant in the city! Everything is so fresh and flavorful. appreciate that they do all in pricing so what you see on the menu is what you pay. That includes their tip, and benefits to the staff. think more restaurants should do this to ensure their people are paid well. The restaurant is quick turn, as you order outside. Don't worry, if you want to order more, you always can from your table. Folks are friendly and happy to recommend their favorite dishes. You'll want to come back often because their menu changes from time to time! On your way out, you could also pick up some pasta and sauce to eat at home. Love this casual Italian eatery with friendly service and excellently prepared dishes! We stopped by on a weekend for lunch and dined in. The lasagna was fantastic and my husband enjoyed his meatball parm sandwich. There is limited space for dining in but lots of options for take out. read more
