Strozzapreti with parmigiano sausage ragu and Marissa's Chocolate Cake
    Leana L.

Saw this place on @infatuation and it looked divine. The hours of operation are a bit challenging since it's Tues - Fri for lunch only. However, a place that specializes in fresh pasta and chocolate cake will always get my attention. We arrived right at opening and it was pretty quiet for the first half hour and then the space slowly filled up by about 1p on a Friday. You order on your phone (QR code provided) and if you dine-in, the food is served on beautiful dish ware. Water is self-serve and there's bins to bus your own table after you finish. My friend and I both ordered the Strozzapreti with Parmigiano Sausage Ragu and a Marissa's Chocolate Cake for two. Everything looked beautiful. Unfortunately, my friend and I both thought the pasta was too salty. Every bite was just salt. The textures were nice and there was so much potential for me to love it. But just salt. Thankfully, the chocolate cake helped make up for this and it was a moist and had a good dark chocolate flavor (with maybe a hint of fruitiness?). I really wanted to love this place, because it truly is an adorable little restaurant, but I just can't get over the salt. Maybe this isn't an issue with their other pastas?

Perfect for a casual lunch! Came here with my friend and we picked out two pastas and dessert. Cheesy macaroni and conchiglie with shrimp and Calabrian chili were perfect together- one cheesy and one tangy, great for sharing. The chocolate cake was moist and not too sweet. Would definitely come back!

newly opened pasta spot in soma. liked my friend's rigatoni marinara the most though marinara could have done with a deeper tomato flavor. pasta serving sizes are a little small, two of our party ordered seconds. chocolate cake reminded me of selby's. you order on a qr code and staff bring out your dishes. eating in is pretty nice, good decor.

Probably one of the best pasta dishes I have ever tried! I'm not a huge fan of red sauce so I was a…read morelittle skeptical of trying this spot. Service is a little unusual in where you order outside (it was freezing and cold and I felt pressured to make a decision quickly so I didn't lose out on my turn in line.) I hope they change it but I guess it helps them serve more people. I also didn't like that there were people in bar stools to the right of us and I realized they were all overlooking our table and that was just too close for comfort. Service was alright tbh. Not anything to really acknowledge. I did not like the garlic bread. I couldn't taste the garlic at all and it was heavy on the parm and the bread was way too hard and crispy for my liking. But the pasta was incredible and only reason I'd be back. Their selection of beer/wine was underwhelming. Overall, I'd only come back from the pasta and nothing else.

The shrimp were much smaller than I expected, and I may have misunderstood the menu because I thought it would be served with pasta. Instead, it came with bread mixed into the dish, which wasn't what I was expecting. However, it's hell of a tasty and delicious scampi shrimp The Veggie Lasagna looked delicious, and the atmosphere is always warm, cozy, and inviting. Overall, it's a lovely place with excellent service, and I'd be happy to come back to try other dishes.

Went with the lunch special since I was planning on trying a pasta anyway and was eyeing the cookie and salads. So glad I did, the arugula salad was simple but delicious and fresh, helped break up the heavier sandwich and pasta, and the cookie was an excellent dessert! Calabrian fried chicken sandwich - excellent juicy and crispy chicken, with a little slaw and pepperoncini, and a great Rize Up sesame hoagie roll that really holds it together without getting soggy. Not at all spicy so don't be nervous. Agnolotti dal plin - maybe not my favorite pasta but beautifully made, very flavorful in a savory roast sauce. Glad we tried it. They have quite a beverage selection. This time we shared a tasty yuzu beer. Would probably explore their wines next time. Think bottles are half off before 3:30 which is pretty incredible.

The ambiance is nice, the plants and the slightly upscale feel make it a nice place to sit and eat. I stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday and I had my pick of tables. You order at the counter in the pasta shop and seat yourself. They bring out your food but the water and clean up is all self-serve. I got the Salumi sandwich and it was delicious. It was stacked with Italian cold cuts, lettuce, red wine vinegar and pepper relish on a sesame hoagie roll. Very filling and very satisfying! I want to try their other sandwiches but hard to try something else when I know this one is so good.
