We made a reservation beforehand which said that seating was limited; however, when we arrived there was plenty of seating available. The restaurant was chic and modern. Their light sconces kind of looked like nipples though, which when you see it, you can't unsee it. Their menu was fancy. It was leather with an engraved "B" on the cover. We came to order pasta, but they had a good variety of dishes with unique ingredient pairings. Their drink menu also displayed great variety! I had a headache earlier in the day and didn't feel like drinking alcohol, but still wanted to try something fun, so I ordered off their zero proof menu. I got the Clockwork Orange, which had calamansi juice, kumquat syrup, and orange juice, but was unexpectedly creamy. I really enjoyed it, but if you're not into that, I might steer clear of it. We ended up splitting a pizza with hot honey, spicy salame, provolone, ricotta, parmesan, and calabrian oil. I ordered their lasagna ferrarese which had bolognese, ricotta, fontina, and parmesan. Everything came out nice & hot, and tasted fantastic! Sadly, although everything was delicious, the food didn't really stand out to me. It was still a great experience though. On a Saturday night, my friend and I ordered a few delicious items that satisfied our dinner cravings! We started with their Insalata Primavera, which was a salad with fresh, colorful beets that was a great way to start. The Crab Arancini was another highlight that was crispy on the outside and had a creamy center. The Spring Rosotto was rich, creamy with asparagus and sweet peas. The risotto was luckily not too heavy. The Chicken Agnolotti was a tender pasta with savory mushroom with a hint of wine that brought everything together. Had a wonderful family style meal here for a friend's intimate wedding reception (~20 people in the back room). It is a cozy space. Some meal highlights/honorable mentions: meatballs (probably my fave), burrata margherita pizza with prosciutto, funghi misti (mushroom pizza), risotto alla zucca, and the panna gelato. I had a 5/5 espresso martini! We also had the prosciutto di parma pizza, cauliflower with romesco sauce, house focaccia, and tricolored salad. My second drink was zero proof - a cucumber high ball - a little too sweet for my liking. I think it's a fun concept, though. The panna gelato was really good but maybe way on the saltier side. Came here on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch with a friend and there was no wait. My friend and I decided to split a vegetarian pasta and vegetarian pizza. There's not that many options for vegetarians here. We got a mushroom risotto, which was sooooo delicious! Would definitely recommend getting this if you come here. We also got the mushroom misti pizza, which was extremely oily and... not really flavorful? It was quite bland. I also got the King's Garden cocktail, which is a gin based cocktail that was delicious. In terms of service, we did feel kind of rushed. Had a nice time at dinner with several friends. They won't give you the table until all the parties have arrived, so while waiting I ordered a cocktail at the bar. I got a drink called chasing rabbit (vodka based), and thought the drink was just okay. We ordered several items: 1. Calamari appetizer (5/5). Great crunch, taste and texture with generous portion 2. Three kind of pizzas. Margharita burrata, bartenders pizza, prosciutto di parma. My favorite was the bartender pizza (5/5), while the other two were good but not as good as the bartenders pizza (4/5). 3. Arancini appetizer (3/5). I think it was lacking some flavor kinda bland. 4. Summer risotto (5/5). Very nice flavor and texture, worth to reorder especially for someone who prefers a meatless or vegetarian option. 5. Special for the day (flank steak with chimichuri sauce, fingerling potatoes and Parmesan salad) 3/5. Also lacking some flavors. My friends also ordered their walnut bread and caprese salad for apps which I didn't get to try, but they said they were pretty good. All in all, no one raved about the cocktails or wine that night, but everyone agreed that their calamari, the pizza and the summer risotto were the highlights of the night. Honestly, I went in with pretty low expectations but came out pretty impressed. A good location for date night drinks and dinner. My girlfriend and I decided to stop by here last Friday before catching a movie at Metreon. We were able to get a reservation for a table at 7:15 the day of pretty easily. On top of that, there is an extended dining area for more people to sit. For our meal we shared an order of the walnut bread, olives , a bartenders pizza, and the bucatini. Everything was solid - The appetizers were just the right portion to give you a taste of something good but leave room for the mains. The pasta was solid - the fresh bucatini was very nice and cooked to a perfect al dente but the sauce left a little to be desired. The Bartenders pizza was a standout - the crust was cooked perfectly and held up well despite some watery toppings. Service wise, our waitress was excellent - very friendly and helpful. On top of that, for both the Bucatini and Bartender's pie the restaurant was able to accommodate my girlfriend who is vegetarian. For the Bucatini they removed the meat entirely and for the bartender's pizza they did half with sausage and the other half vegetarian. All in all, I admittedly went in not expecting too much but left very pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stop by here again to start of a night out with some friends. Score: 4/5 read more

I wish it was piping hot when it came to us, as it was only slightly warm. Despite this the flavors were spot on. Decided to have a solo dinner here on Christmas Eve, since friends were out of town and I wouldn't see my fam until Christmas day. I've never been to Beretta before but wanted a nice Italian meal. It took me a while to get seated, as it seemed like they were understaffed for the holiday. Overall, service was very slow, but I was willing to wait for good food. Started off with the Trident Negroni, arancini, and burrata toast, which were all excellent. Burrata was delicious and fresh, and there was plenty of sauce for the arancini. The problem came from the linguini with clams. Every single clam had sand in it. One had many large grains the size of flaky salt. As a result, the entire dish tasted like sand, pasta and all. I debated sending it back but was already having trouble flagging down a waitress in the first place (the dinner was at this point an hour long) and so I just didn't finish the dish. Not wanting to be left with a bad sandy taste in my mouth, I decided to order the tiramisu for dessert. The taste was fine but the liqueur they used kind of just sat on top of the mascarpone. I didn't end up finishing it either. Was definitely disappointed in my experience. If I do go back, I would only do so for the small eats and antipasti. read more

Celebrated my friend's birthday with a weeknight dinner at Beretta on Divisadero. Pretty easy to make a reservation the day before and it's in a good location, both groups were able to take public transportation from different parts of the city to the restaurant. It's a dimly lit and intimate space with chic yet cozy vibes. Hostess was standoffish and not very welcoming, she ended up as our waitress as well. The service seems to be lacking from what I've read from other reviews as well. Food came out shortly after ordering, and we started with the walnut bread with burrata and truffle honey on top. This was to DIE for, it was honestly the highlight of the meal for me. The bread is hearty and holds up to the generous topping of creamy burrata and a sweet and earthy truffle honey. We split the funghi misti pizza, the featured hot salami pizza, cacio e pepe, and seafood linguini. The pizzas were really good, with a thin crust that didn't flop under the weight of the generous toppings. I liked the hot salami more out of the 2 pizzas, gonna miss this when it gets switched off the menu. The seafood linguini was a lot better than the cacio e pepe, the tomato sauce was nicely spicy, seafood was all cooked perfectly, and noodles had a great chew. The cacio e pepe was lacking flavor and did not stand out at all, it definitely needed more cheese and less cream. Ended the night with a tiramisu and candle on the house, which was a nice touch. Really reasonable receipt of $170 for 4 people including a $20 corkage. Overall, come for the walnut bread, pizza, and nice aesthetics, but don't expect friendly five-star service. read more

My now husband and I were lucky enough to have our September 2025 wedding at Beretta on Divisadero. The number one feedback we received from guests was that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. The calamari, arancini, meatballs, margherita with burrata pizza, and espresso martinis got the most shoutouts from guests. Everyone working that night was so accommodating and friendly and helpful; they felt like friends by the end of the night. We have nothing but amazing things to say about Raul and his staff. An additional shoutout to Courtney with events for being so easy to work with. Aside from our wedding, we eat at Beretta often. It is one of our favorite restaurants - consistently great food and drinks, and a fun/vibey/cozy atmosphere. We go at least once a month for date night, but we also have gone for milestone occasions (30th birthday dinner, meeting the in-laws, etc). I did wish they came by to refill out waters. Pizza: The margherita pizza was spectacular. The clumps of cheese melt on the hot pizza & it taste delicious when I spread it out as a thin layer over the sauce. The crust was extremely crispy and thin. Appetizers and Antipasti: GET THE WALNUT BREAD! It was my favorite plate of the night. The burrata and other flavors on the slice of bread was just the perfect small bite. Perfect place for a date night! My partner and I came here for valentines day and loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It was dimly lit with enough ambient lighting that it didn't cause any strain on my eyes. The servers were attentive and refilled our waters multiple times throughout the date despite it being so busy. Now onto the food! I was blown away by how everything tasted! My favorite bite has the be the parpadelle. The pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente. The sauce was so flavorful! The pork sugo was fall apart tender and the fatties of it was infused into the sauce. It was absolutely perfect! The pizza tasted amazing but I was not happy with how everything slipped off when I go to pick a slice up. The sauce, cheese, and toppings would slide onto my plate leaving the floppy crust only. The meatballs were incredibly juicy! So sad that there was only two per order. Lastly was the tiramisu, it was good but not the best I've had! For $10 I was expecting a bigger portion.
