In terms of value, the portions are huge for the price. The service was also prompt. We ordered on-line, and the food was ready for me when I got there, five minutes early. It was packaged very nicely as well. My bolognese was very rich and very tasty, with the rigatoni perfectly cooked. The person who ordered the eggplant parmigiana really loved hers as well. I tried a bite. Delicious! The shrimp scampi might have a little rich for the other young lady's taste, but it was also very good. The meatball panini was split and also enjoyed. It's weird that it's located in a gas station, but they do have a table or two that you can sit at and eat which is nice surprising where you're at. Service was quick and polite. The ravioli was good for the price but overall just ok. The baked mostaccioli I got the time before was also good for the price but overall it's just OK. They definitely ruined it with the parsley. So being told it was very good here in the past I went last week and ordered a meatball panini , well it really wasn't panini in the sense that i know what one is , it was on like a French bread I believe and was just ok it wasn't pressed and seared on both sides but the meatballs them selves very decent could use more flavor and more marinara sauce . Pasta to Go is apparently popular locally, but wasn't on Yelp when I searched for it. So I decided to check it out. Pasta isn't my favorite food group, but I do enjoy it once in a while. The interesting part? It's located inside of the Shell gas station. Prices and portions are reasonable, and they have daily specials for around $5 as well. I tried the Rigatoni Melanzane. Great size, lots of fresh veggies, light marinara sauce, and melted fresh mozzarella cheese on top. My only complaint? I would love extra mozzarella, it's really good with the dish. Wow. Eating food from a gas station might seem strange, but wow is this pasta good. Ordered the primavera, spaghetti and meatballs, and the Mediterranean. They were all accompanied by garlic bread. Everything was delicious. The chicken in the primavera wasn't my favorite. It didn't have much flavor IMO, but the sauce was sooo good. I would order this again without chicken. The Mediterranean was also very good. All the flavor blended well together. My daughter fell asleep before she could eat, but I tasted her meatballs and pasta and they were good. We have been here many times when it opened and it was being talked about around Elmhurst. When they raised the prices, we didnt go for a while. We had it last week and it was basically. The pasta with meat sauce had a herby bad taste. The salad had the cucumber with the skin on. Something was horribly fasting in the salad we threw it away. I ordered food from here for the first time tonight and I have to say I will be ordering again every time I'm in town. Not only were the portions amazing, the food was delicious. Neither of those were the reason for my 5 stars though. Their staff did that. There was complications on the delivery address I gave and one of the women who worked there went above and beyond to assist the delivery driver in finding me. The portions of the calamari, rigatoni bolognese, and meatball panini were appropriate and the food tasted fresh. Not sure it wasn't something I could cook myself at home pretty easily so may not be worth the price to dine out for if you cook often. I never eaten at a gas station restaurant but pasta to go changed my opinion on this, to start everything was greatly priced for a date night we got an appetizer 2 entree's that come with A baguette and a dessert for around $35, the appetizer was cheesy garlic bread small but delicious crunchy and had the right amount of cheese! Our entree's were chicken parmigiana and potato gnocchi in vodka w/ shrimp, the chicken parm was delicious the whole time I was eating my gnocchi I wish I had erins dish the marinara was seasoned so beautifully I would have not added anything! My dish was also good the potato gnocchi melts in your mouth and the vodka sauce was good I think it needed some more spicy and heavy whipping cream for thickness but still delicious! We had huge portions enough for another meal later! All of the food was seasoned great and didn't cheat us on anything there was just enough shrimp chicken and cheese. Actually found out about this place from tik tok of all places, and as an Elmhurst native I had to give it a try. Tried Shrimp Diablo, Shrimp Scampi, Bolognese, calamari and Tiramisu.
