Ordered lunch to share and sat out on the patio. The gentleman working the front was nice and helpful when figuring out what to pick. We decided to split the gnocchi in a pesto sauce and the veggie lover pizza. Everything tasted amazing and had quality ingredients. We will be back to try more!

Pasta and pizza cooked to order in a food hall style building in San Juan Cap. Very low key. Quite delicious.

PASTALIA is the best fresh pasta, lasagna, ravioli, pesto sauce is perfection! Highly recommend this place, and stocking up for your freezer too!

Ordered the chicken parm for take out. It was really just soggy breaded chicken in a dish of sauce and melted cheese. It was good, but not great. The chicken should be crispy. The sauce and cheese was great, but maybe serve that in the side so the chicken stays crispy.

Great choice of GF pastas. I liked my chicken Alfredo sauce gnocchi. Great ambience.

This is such a gem! We have been back twice already in just one span of 7 days. It is that good. They are located inside the River Street Marketplace in the big building with multiple food stalls. The first visit I tried the ravioli with asparagus. And I took pappardelle with their vodka sauce to go. The second time I came with the family, and we tried the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the chicken meatballs, and the kids fusili pasta with butter. They were, unfortunately, out of the beets and carrots so I didn't get to order the insalata I was craving. Hopefully next time they will have the ingredients they need to make the salad on their menu. The meatballs were good but I would have hoped for more/larger quantity for that price so wouldn't get it again. Definitely realized that the most economical way is to get the fresh pasta to go with their sauce. That was enough for all 4 of us to eat plus have leftovers. Their cooked pastas are the perfect size for two people to share $12-15. The kids pasta is a great deal $5, and they polished it off easily. They loved the shape and have asked already for us to get it again. So excited this place has opened and is close by. We will probably be getting it once a week.

First time visiting this area in SJC. Very nice outdoor area. Tried Pastalia for a quick dinner. We ordered the - arugula and prosciutto flat bread - it was the right flavoring but i wish it was cooked longer. The bottom of the pizza didn't get crispy and the cheese wasn't fully melted. - kids butter noodles - more pasta water than butter but it was decent - lemon ricotta raviolis - very decadent and the sauce was a heavy cream. Good flavor but could only eat very little. Overall portions were good for the price and there were a lot of options. Recommend for an easy, quick dinner in the area.

A fun place for both kids and adults. Choose you pasta, sauce and toppings. Pizza made as you like it. Quick fast-food kind of place that offers "good food."

Beautiful pasta cooked in perfection. Great selections of noodles, sauces, and toppings. Pasta is al dente and meat sauce is tart and chunky. Food is prepared fresh and pronto. A perfect place to enjoy authentic Italian flavors at good prices!

The spinach manicotti was pretty good and the sauce smelled and tasted great. The pick your pasta was ok. The noodles were pretty heavy. Great service and I loved how you could see all the various items up front. The salad choices were awesome and made with fresh ingredients.

The pasta was insanely fresh! This was the only food my kids would eat and they LOVED it! I got the pizza and it was delicious. It had a little kick to it which I loved. The staff were nice and patient. There's not really a lot of indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in SJC

It's a long wait, but it will be hot and very yummy! And the beauty of it is choosing you pasta, then your sauce and any add ons! That is if you prefer to customize otherwise they have traditional orders. We got the lemon ricotta ravioli green beans, am tempted to get just the green beans it was so good! Then an Oder of pasta with vodka sauce. Over the top delicious. I can't wait to go back!

Wednesday night, dead quiet. Most of San Juan was a few blocks away at the concert, leaving us with the rare luxury of a peaceful patio and a little breathing room. We found a beautiful bottle of Italian wine, listened carefully to the specials like civilized adults pretending not to already know what we wanted, and split a Caesar to start, solid, classic, no nonsense. Then came the real business. Sylvia went with shrimp and angel hair. The shrimp? Perfectly cooked. That elusive sweet spot so many kitchens miss by a mile. Not rubbery, not underdone. Just right. I went for the Osso Buco, boldly promised to rival my grandmother's. Dangerous claim. But they backed it up. Deep, rich, slow-cooked soul food, the kind of dish that tastes like somebody's been standing over it all day, caring. They even brought the marrow spoon, which tells you everything you need to know about intent. Food? Five stars. Wine? Five stars. If I'd tweak anything, it's the details. The waiter and bartender were both in oversized black T-shirts with the logo. Functional, sure, but swap those for black collared shirts and the room instantly feels more polished. The patio could use a little love too. Nothing dramatic. Just tighten it up. Because in this business, especially now, the margins between good and unforgettable are razor thin. Crivello's already has the hard part nailed. A little sharper presentation, and they're dangerous.

I've seen both locations busy plenty of times, but somehow convinced myself it was basically takeout only. And then I convinced myself that by the time I got the food home, it would be cold, imperfect, and I'd regret the whole thing. Turns out the only thing I regret is waiting this long. My wife and I finally ate there, and Nori (a kind and happy soul) took great care of us. She was awesome and suggested the steak sandwich. I'm glad I listened because this is easily one of the best steak sandwiches I've had--and I'm including some pretty serious Philly contenders in that statement. It starts with the bread. I don't know what they're doing to this bread, but it's ridiculously good. Honestly, they could probably put a DMV application between two pieces of it and I'd order it again. We also had the arugula salad with an amazing lemon dressing, which was excellent and provided the necessary illusion that we were making healthy choices. Bottom line: Guichos has apparently been serving great food right under my nose for years. There's a reason both locations are always busy. Everyone else figured it out. I was just driving by.

The entire family staff is so kind, and they'll even be so gracious as to allow me to practice my ancestral Italian language skills-- which are sadly deficient and in need of constant correction-- while shopping. I learn so much in each of my unofficial lessons when I visit, and I'm deeply grateful to the family for this kind help. I couldn't imagine a more gracious and thoughtful nor a more warm and more kind group of people to create an old fashioned and welcoming environment in the market. Franco, Donatella, and Fiammetta always treat me with such kindness. And in addition of course there are very knowledgeable about the wines and fine liqueurs which are sold there at reasonable prices. I left yesterday with two bottles of wine from my ancient homeland in Sicily and Basilicata and a bottle of Amaro that comes from my grandfather's province of Calabria. Once again a wonderful shopping experience and I cannot recommend this market more. Grazie mille a tutta la famiglia!
