    Fresh Homemade Pasta

Ordered lunch to share and sat out on the patio. The gentleman working the front was nice and helpful when figuring out what to pick. We decided to split the gnocchi in a pesto sauce and the veggie lover pizza. Everything tasted amazing and had quality ingredients. We will be back to try more!

Ordered the chicken parm for take out. It was really just soggy breaded chicken in a dish of sauce and melted cheese. It was good, but not great. The chicken should be crispy. The sauce and cheese was great, but maybe serve that in the side so the chicken stays crispy.

Pasta and pizza cooked to order in a food hall style building in San Juan Cap. Very low key. Quite delicious.

This is such a gem! We have been back twice already in just one span of 7 days. It is that good. They are located inside the River Street Marketplace in the big building with multiple food stalls. The first visit I tried the ravioli with asparagus. And I took pappardelle with their vodka sauce to go. The second time I came with the family, and we tried the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the chicken meatballs, and the kids fusili pasta with butter. They were, unfortunately, out of the beets and carrots so I didn't get to order the insalata I was craving. Hopefully next time they will have the ingredients they need to make the salad on their menu. The meatballs were good but I would have hoped for more/larger quantity for that price so wouldn't get it again. Definitely realized that the most economical way is to get the fresh pasta to go with their sauce. That was enough for all 4 of us to eat plus have leftovers. Their cooked pastas are the perfect size for two people to share $12-15. The kids pasta is a great deal $5, and they polished it off easily. They loved the shape and have asked already for us to get it again. So excited this place has opened and is close by. We will probably be getting it once a week.

First time visiting this area in SJC. Very nice outdoor area. Tried Pastalia for a quick dinner. We ordered the - arugula and prosciutto flat bread - it was the right flavoring but i wish it was cooked longer. The bottom of the pizza didn't get crispy and the cheese wasn't fully melted. - kids butter noodles - more pasta water than butter but it was decent - lemon ricotta raviolis - very decadent and the sauce was a heavy cream. Good flavor but could only eat very little. Overall portions were good for the price and there were a lot of options. Recommend for an easy, quick dinner in the area.

A fun place for both kids and adults. Choose you pasta, sauce and toppings. Pizza made as you like it. Quick fast-food kind of place that offers "good food."

Beautiful pasta cooked in perfection. Great selections of noodles, sauces, and toppings. Pasta is al dente and meat sauce is tart and chunky. Food is prepared fresh and pronto. A perfect place to enjoy authentic Italian flavors at good prices!

The spinach manicotti was pretty good and the sauce smelled and tasted great. The pick your pasta was ok. The noodles were pretty heavy. Great service and I loved how you could see all the various items up front. The salad choices were awesome and made with fresh ingredients.

The pasta was insanely fresh! This was the only food my kids would eat and they LOVED it! I got the pizza and it was delicious. It had a little kick to it which I loved. The staff were nice and patient. There's not really a lot of indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in SJC

It's a long wait, but it will be hot and very yummy! And the beauty of it is choosing you pasta, then your sauce and any add ons! That is if you prefer to customize otherwise they have traditional orders. We got the lemon ricotta ravioli green beans, am tempted to get just the green beans it was so good! Then an Oder of pasta with vodka sauce. Over the top delicious. I can't wait to go back!

Our table tried the bread basket, calamari, pizza (pineapple and pear/burrata), braised short ribs and the standout for me was the gamberoni! If you enjoy shrimp/ seafood in general, this is a dish to try. The pasta was thick, chewy and filling. The sauce was rich, earthy and flavorful. The shrimp (4 huge ones) were juicy and perfectly cooked. Our server recommended the dish and said they tasted like lobster - he was not wrong! I enjoyed my mocktail (like a pina colada), and the kids had blueberry & passion fruit lemonade. Finished off with lemon sorbet. Delightfully sweet and refreshing!

The starter house salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. I got the Caio pasta and my fiancé got the pollo parmigiana, both of which were pure perfection! Even just the bread was amazing! Shout out to the busser for being so on top of things, checking on us and being such a hard worker! I gave you a $5 but I wish I gave you a $10! I hope you get a tip out from our finalized check as well! Now onto the disappointments.. My fiancé and I both work in food service and have experience working in restaurants of the same capacity if not more. When we go out we strive to be the easiest table possible, but have some bare minimum expectations when it comes to service. Whenever we encounter a fellow server at our place of business we usually make sure to give them the best service possible knowing how it feels to be on the other side. With that being said we had requested George if available but couldn't get him since he was working inside instead of the patio. Probably would've felt better having him. Mostly just felt that after a long workday seeing 500 people at my resturant, maybe there'd be a little more attentiveness. Not even a few quick how's it going till the very end. We weren't really checked on besides the wonderful busser, poured our own bottle of wine, and felt a bit forgotten haha. Nonetheless I love pasta and can't wait to come back again and have a new experience.

There were 13 of us and parents did not plan anything so I hopped on Open Table with my fingers crossed, hoping we'd be able to find a place that could take our group size last minute and luckily we found Ciao Pasta. It's located in a little strip mall with free parking around back. They seated us in the back where they have a covered patio. Personally I prefer indoor dining but given they were able to accommodate us so last minute - no complaints here. Our server was Alessandra and she handled our group very well. The restaurant provides complimentary fresh baked focaccia bread with an olive oil tapenade which was delicious, although I wish it came with parmesan too). We ordered 2 orders of the calamari and a burrata to start. Then across the group, we had a few branzinos, halibut, sea bass special, lemon pastas, wide noodle pasta w/ truffle and spaghetti. I ordered the sea bass special and it was okay but I had a bite of the halibut and that was absolutely delicious. I also tried the lemon pasta and the flavor was great (not overpowering) and the noodles were tender and cooked well. They brought out two small canolis w a candle for the bday kids and then we closed out with some ice cream dish and the creme brule. All with tax and tip (no alcohol), the meal came to $700, which for 13 people on NYE is definitely reasonable. Overall this was a great find and I'm so grateful for their hospitality.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with plenty of seating, a bar area, and a counter filled with bakery items and coffee drinks. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was okay, nothing extraordinary. We asked to sit in a booth because we had a little one with us, and the response came across a bit rude and awkward from the host. Other than that, everything was fine, just not particularly memorable. I ordered an iced cinnamon latte, which was decent, though I was a little disappointed they don't offer almond milk. The real star of the experience was the food. It was honestly some of the best breakfast food I've ever had 10/10, no notes!! I could eat it every day and would absolutely make the drive back again and again just for the food. I ordered the two eggs breakfast, which came with eggs, potatoes, fruit, and toast, and everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. My cousin ordered the Egg Pomodoro, and it was incredible as well. It was my first time trying it, and it's definitely a must-order. To top it all off, they brought my cousin a complimentary cinnamon roll with a candle for her birthday, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Overall, despite the service being just average, the amazing food, cozy atmosphere, and birthday touch made for a really wonderful experience. I'd definitely return for brunch.
