Came here on a weekend on a whim. Was not aware there was a place making fresh pasta in this place. Ordered the chicken Alfredo. Fresh perfectly cooked pasta with a nice Alfredo sauce and super crispy chicken on top. It's rare to find a small business turning out quality like this at reasonable prices. This is such a gem! We have been back twice already in just one span of 7 days. It is that good. They are located inside the River Street Marketplace in the big building with multiple food stalls. The first visit I tried the ravioli with asparagus. And I took pappardelle with their vodka sauce to go. The second time I came with the family, and we tried the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the chicken meatballs, and the kids fusili pasta with butter. They were, unfortunately, out of the beets and carrots so I didn't get to order the insalata I was craving. Hopefully next time they will have the ingredients they need to make the salad on their menu. The meatballs were good but I would have hoped for more/larger quantity for that price so wouldn't get it again. Definitely realized that the most economical way is to get the fresh pasta to go with their sauce. That was enough for all 4 of us to eat plus have leftovers. Their cooked pastas are the perfect size for two people to share $12-15. The kids pasta is a great deal $5, and they polished it off easily. We ordered the - arugula and prosciutto flat bread - it was the right flavoring but i wish it was cooked longer. The bottom of the pizza didn't get crispy and the cheese wasn't fully melted. - kids butter noodles - more pasta water than butter but it was decent - lemon ricotta raviolis - very decadent and the sauce was a heavy cream. Good flavor but could only eat very little. Overall portions were good for the price and there were a lot of options. Recommend for an easy, quick dinner in the area. read more

I scarfed down my pasta before I got to take a picture because I was so dang hungry. This was one of the few popping places here and I am so happy I got some pasta from here! Pasta is made fresh and you can customize the sauce and pasta you want. It doesn't look like much in the to-go container, but you'll get full off the serving of pasta! Flavors are amazing. There is a bit of a wait to order and get your food (buzzer system), but staff is so friendly. In addition to pasta, they also have pizza (more like flatbread). I will start this bad review off with saying- please look at my profile, I give 5 star reviews out left and right. I am the least picky person, I love dining out, have been in the service industry my entire life. However, this is a review I'd LOVE to edit if the problem is corrected. I went and ordered a kids meal on Friday. Service was fine, however a giant black hair in the meatball. I come back on Monday with tons of friends. We all order food, we even tip. We patiently walk around the food court waiting for our food. The rude guy working at 7pm on Monday 6/15 scolded my friend who was trying the place out for the first time and said "YOURS ISNT READY YET". She calmly said "oh? No worries, just walking around waiting..." what else was she supposed to do? So 10 minutes later she comes back and kindly asked him (the worker) "hey, for XXX?" Because there was food sitting on the counter. He said "i don't know, look at the name on the ticket". I mean how rude, she was just trying not to reach over other people's meals. He should have been happy to help. Unfortunately, we end up opening our meals and yet again, a hair in the meatballs. Then another, then a THIRD hair. I wish I was joking. I really swear this happened. I was gagging and threw our food out. I don't know if the guy was messing with us or if maybe someone cooking is just losing hair or not wearing a net. Again, I am coming from the service industry. Have never seen this happen. Please pastalia, you make great food, give jobs to people who deserve them and take pride in cleanliness and integrity! The staff member on call showed little concern for resolving the issue and only took action after I repeatedly brought up my concerns. To make matters worse, my call was declined instead of being answered. The level of customer service was unacceptable and came across as careless, dismissive, and unprofessional. It was clear that basic responsibilities were not being handled properly, and customers should not have to chase down staff just to receive assistance. We've been buying Mr. DoValle's pasta for years at the farmers market and finally got the chance to eat the pasta cooked at his restaurant today! His pasta is the best pasta I've had in Southern California, and I often buy it to gift to family. Today, we tried the Cacio e pepe, puttanesca, and calabrese ?piadina (like a pizza). All the food was delicious, and we especially liked the cacio e pepe. Also wanted to mention that everything was well-priced since I'm used to paying $20-$30 for pasta dishes. So I really wanted to try this from the 5 stars. It was a bit disappointing. The marinara was bland. Pasta noodles were good. I ordered a side of the parmigiana crusted chicken and it was very dry. I thought it would come with sauce but did not. We also got the chicken and beef meatballs that were decent. Our granddaughter had the vodka sauce and liked it.
