I would NOT reccommend this bakery to anyone. I went in to order a cake on tuesday afternoon. It wasnt for me but for my friend so I had the basics of how she wanted the cake. I told the lady exactly what I was told& she asked if i wanted to add extra things to the flavor which I do appreciate but It caught me off guard and again, the cake was not for me so I needed to call and ask the lady was bothered by me asking for a few minutes to call my friend. We ended up figuring out the whole cake flavor situation. I ended up showing her what I was looking for and she told me it was an extra $10 for ME to look for the picture THEY needed. You don't think it makes more sense for them to charge me the $10 for THEM to look for the picture? She handed me the reciept and told me to find the picture and send it this number and wrote on the back for me to add my order number, date when i needed the cake and the and my name. I had to find a better picture completely edited to the name of the birthday girl. and so I sent the message Wednesday at 6:27PM. I did not recieve a response which I completely understood since they closed at 6PM. It was the next day no one had answered me that morning so I gave it some time. I texted at 5:34PM on Thursday and waited and no one did not answer. I tried to call on Friday and they did not pick up. I called the morning of the party at 10:16AM to confirm the message was recieved the lady seemed confused. She asked if when I sent the message if i attached my phone number I told her the lady wrote on the back of my reciept to put my order number, date and name not my number. she said "oh uhh let me check again." she comes back a minute after and says OH i just got the message it will be ready by today. The thing is, what if I hadn't called again and just went in? would my cake have not been done? then what. To top it all off the inspo picture is NOTHING compared to what i asked for. $100 for what? for them to put a piece of paper on a cake and call it a day? Yeah, no. I would NOT reccomend this place AT ALL! I have attached the inspo pic and a picture of what i actually got. don't waste your time nor money at this dam place. read more

I love this place! I've ordered cakes before for just about every one of my brother's birthday parties. I love Mexican cakes in particular because of how moist they are, and at Pasteleria Azteca, there are many flavors to choose from! We've never had any issues with the orders being ready on time or with the theme of the cake not lining up to what we wanted. Also, to reiterate, this place is a pasteleria, not a panaderia meaning they specialize in making cakes and other desserts (gelatin, etc), not in making pan dulce or other kinds of bread. read more

I just want to say that I purchase a Birthday cake from this shop yesterday and we bit into it and it was the nastiest cake we had ever had . We had to throw it out that's how bad it was and no one ate it. The flavor and texture of the bread was disgusting, the filling inside was so nasty one of our guest threw up. I ordered a cake for my brother's birthday and asked for a tres leches cake filled with vanilla and banana and I got no banana plus I was told that it was going to be ready for pickup at 3 in the afternoon and I got there at 3:10 and I still got said that it wasn't ready yet, that they still needed to decorate it, they finally gave me the cake at 3:45, 45 minutes later than expected plus the taste of the cake was not good at all, for the price I had expected a way better cake. Also I saw the ladies that were making the cakes and they were not using any gloves or hair net and were receiving money and then going to do the cakes, terrible service. If I could give them zero stars I seriously would, NEVER coming back and I don't recommend you to go there either. read more

Gets one star for the simple fact that they completed a cake. I've order cakes from here several time and yes they do in fact always mess up with the color theme and fillings but that is no biggie for me as their tres leches does taste great. Well this time I called and the girl who put in the order for me (Cherry) sounded like she was very attentive to me. I told her I wanted tres leches cake and she asks me what flavored cake. So as a natural response I say vanilla. I let her know if I can also please get a filling of strawberry with nuez. She takes my order and I did the horrible mistake of paying full that same day. I went to get my cake a few days later at the given time which was 4PM, only to get the news of them saying my cake was not done just yet. No biggie it's busy I understand. I get my cake at around 4:30PM looks very simple whatever. I just wanted to leave. We cut the cake that night and realize it was not tres leches at all and no nuez filling was on it. My family only likes tres leches so no one really ate it but the kids. There is more than half the cake left in the fridge. I call the place spoke to the lady in charge named Ericka. She took a good 5 min looking for the receipt and said the receipt did not have tres leches written on it. It only had vanilla cake. I explain it's not possible we always order from here and we always get tres leches. I specifically remember telling the lady who got my order that I wanted tres leches. She goes in explaining that it was basically MY FAULT for not communicating with the lady properly on how I wanted my cake exactly. So because the lady asked me what flavor I wanted and I replied vanilla she automatically forgot about me telling her I wanted tres leches and did not write it down. I told her okay well either way you guys did not put nuez in it. She explained some confusing theory on how they don't put nuez on basic cakes unless it's tres leches. I told her exactly so if I wanted nuez then wasn't it obvious it was a tres leches cake with vanilla cake? She goes back to putting the blame on me for not COMMUNICATING properly to the lady on SPECIFIC DETAILS. This whole time I'm having a conversation with Ericka I hear her in the background speaking to some other lady telling her how I sound so mad and she's explained to me and asks her to give her a phone number so I can call that person and she can get me off the line cause she's fed up. All I wanted was for me to be able to return the cake and get my $65 refunded or ATLEAST HALF because it's more than half cake I have left. Ericka said "I can only give you $5 back for not having the nuez, but even then I don't have to do that." Like wow what great MANAGEMENT customer service you have. I told her I would personally go to the bakery and ask to speak to management. She replies, I can go but she will tell me the exact same thing and basically nothing will be resolved. She gives me the number to the other location and tells me I have to speak to Michelle who is who took my order. I let her know on my receipt it says cherry and she explains that's the same lady. I get it mistakes happen. But it's one thing to let a mistake happen and OWN UP TO IT and give the customer what they'd think is fair to get. And another thing is to MESS UP, BLAME THE CUSTOMER, AND IGNORE THE PROBLEM. For sure going into the bakery, taking the cake and ask to speak to management if not today then tomorrow. It's not fair how all these bad reviews are here of bad customer service after they mess up and refuse to give a refund or discount. DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. Because you will surely not be satisfied 2 out of 3 times. read more

Worst place ever. Rude service. They messed up our order twice. They put the tres leches on top of cardboard, not a special thing for cakes just plain old cardboard with some type of rice paper that comes up when you cut it. We called to say they messed up our order and they tried to blame it on us. They messed up the order with the wrong flavor, we ordered red velvet and we got vanilla.
