Absolutely incredible bakery! My son has celiac disease and wanted a unique, custom cake for his birthday -- not an easy ask, but she nailed it! I'm pretty picky when it comes to design and had a clear vision in mind, and she exceeded every expectation. The cake was not only stunning, but it tasted AMAZING -- and if you've ever had gluten-free cake that doesn't crumble, you know that's a real talent! She is so sweet, professional, and truly gifted. She's thorough with her communication and follows up on every detail so you never have to stress. Everyone at the party was raving about the cake! I was so impressed I immediately hired her again for my daughter's birthday this weekend. If you're looking for the perfect personalized specialty cake -- gluten-free or not -- look no further. Her prices are totally reasonable, and the quality is beyond worth it! I'll upload the second cake this weekend!

I requested a small cake to celebrate my recent hysterectomy. I asked for black frosting, red cake sponge, and cherry flavor. Sadly, I have several food allergies and Celiac disease. Thankfully, Heather was able to accommodate all of that! The cake I received was beautiful and delicious! I can't have dairy, but the frosting tasted just like buttercream frosting! The cherry flavor was more subtle than I had hoped, though the cake was still sweet and tasty. Communication after I submitted my request was prompt and direct. Heather answered any questions I sent clearly and quickly. I will definitely purchase from this business again and recommend it to folks, especially anyone with dietary restrictions.

So for starters I have known the owner of this company for quite a few years, I consider her a friend. But I have also done business with her. She made the day of a 10 year old by seeing a picture of a cake, picture! She turned that photo into a cake that my daughter treasured, the way her face lit up when she saw the cake was everything! I also plan on having this company make my wedding cake. I also will not stand here and let their business get slandered because one person who wasn't a customer if I saw correctly try to ruin the business of a hard working woman because they didn't like a post! If you want quality products this business for sure delivers that!

This was hands down the BEST cake we've ever had!! The ordering and pick up process was extremely easy, communication was perfect. The cake was exactly what my teen requested, with additional glittery touches that went above and beyond! And did I mention it was delicious-- because it blew our mind it tasted THAT amazing!! ordered a 40th design cake for my daughter (her request) so it was a suprise. while the cake icing and fruit was delicious, the cake itself had no flavor. the cake design was poorly put together and had no STABILITY. by the time i got it to the party the cake was collapsing. Customer Service was beyond terrible. they fought me tooth and nail and would not even consider any kind of good faith reconciliation. i can t believe i paid 185.00 for this cake. very very very disappointed. this place came recommended. i would not recommend them or ever use them again. very poor Customer Service. they tried to blame me for not following policies and handling procedures. that was a joke.

Sugared Edge is amazing! They came through for my daughter's 2nd birthday party with a few weeks' notice after a few other bakers ghosted us. They were extremely easy to communicate with (all via text - ideal for me personally), prompt and friendly. The cake looked better than I had hoped, and tasted amazing. Nobody noticed that it was gluten free either! I will absolutely be using them again for future cakes.

Our Daughter has Celiac Disease so we were looking for a bakery who offered Cakes she could have, Sugared Edge was recommend in one of the gluten free groups I'm in on Facebook, I messaged the owner and had a quick response, she was wonderful from start to finish, the ordering process was easy, Our Daughter wanted a Unicorn theme cake, We were blown away by what was created! We had it delivered and it came just like the photos. If you're looking for allergy friendly cakes/deserts I HIGHLY recommend ordering from Sugared Edge, the cake was delicious and you couldn't even tell it was gluten free!

I don't write reviews often but I felt compelled after seeing one of my favorite bakers got a nasty false review just because she shared a cake that said "F*ck Ice" Let's get one thing clear, ice melts in the desert and should be no where in our state or anywhere for that matter. Now that we have that out of the way, I will review this business as an *actual* customer. I came to Heather with an idea for a cake for my partners birthday and not only did she execute how it looked to the precise detail in the inspo photo, but it was fucking delicious! My partner is a coffee fiend and Heather worked her magic and made a vanilla cake with coffee buttercream. So it looked incredible and tasted amazing. We got rave reviews at the party and my partner was so surprised with the end result. Heather is a kind soul and an extremely talented baker. While, I don't have food allergies, she can cater to all! Gluten, dairy, egg whatever you need and it comes out so damn good. I will continue to support this business. read more

Wow. I cannot say enough about this bakery. I ordered myself a vegan birthday cake and ended up with a whole bunch of addons while ordering to make sure my birthday cake was absolutely perfect. What can I say? Sugared Edge delivered, even went above and beyond. Perfect flavor. Perfect consistency. Vegan. Added macarons for my kids (since they like them). Delivered on my birthday early. If you are in need of a vegan bakery who will work with you to make sure you taste perfection, don't look anywhere else. I'm not kidding. I will be eating every single last crumb of this cake. read more

Ordered baby shower cake for my daughter's baby shower. Very disappointed. Will not be using them again! The cake was dry and not tasty. The "design" was one that I chose that they used in a prior order from another customer (I chose it from their gallery of pictures). It was uncreative at best. Just a cake that had white frosting with some light pink frosting. The rest of the cake was balloons stuck in them and a 3D picture of a "lamb". We immediately threw the "lamb" decoration off the cake. Can't believe I paid $100 for that cake!! I wish I took a picture of the cake, but unfortunately did not . I also ordered cupcakes from another bakery and everyone ate those and did not eat the cake. Would not recommend!! read more

we hosted a mini reception for our best friends to celebrate their recent marriage. Twisted Sugar was first the most reasonable bakery for what I was looking for but most importantly their customer service is outstanding. Immediate responses too! And the cake was exceptional. First, no one believed me it was gluten free and I totally agree. Hadn't planned on ordering gf since I was the only one with that issue. I've never served a party cake where every plate was COMPLETELY empty, and there wasn't one piece left! I barely got to grab a piece of my husbands and then was super disappointed not to have my own piece! Hands down best ever bakery cake I've had. read more

If you're looking for a "one of a kind", this is the place to use! I'm in San Diego County, and my granddaughter is in the Phoenix area. Since I couldn't be with her in her 21st birthday, I wanted to get her the birthday cake. Since she's CRAZY for anything "cotton candy", the cake had to have cotton candy flavored icing. The Sugared Edge Bakery totally came through! I was able to do it all online through texts. It was PERFECT! AND, more importantly, it was the only bakery I found that could do it! My granddaughter loves the black/white marble look, and the bakery "knocked it out of the park" on that as well! read more

Absolutely love this bakery! We have food intolerances and allergies and love that so much care and caution goes into how things are prepared, and how delicious they are with her substitutions! Everything always looks beautiful, the goodies themselves, but it's also always perfectly packaged, and handled with so much care and love. She's pulled last minute orders off with little notice and really come through for us, all while maintaining her high standards for quality and food restrictions. She's been especially dedicated during the pandemic, making no contact simple and has really prioritized the health and safety of her clients. I highly recommend anything cookie dough. Her cookie dough is THE best I've had, but everything looks and tastes amazing! Can't wait to try more! read more

I ordered a custom cake for my friend's birthday. My friend also bakes but I did not want her to bake her own birthday cake. The owner of Sugared Edge Bakery is a true artist. She is so creative and I could tell she cared about designing the cake to my specifications. She did an amazing job!! The cake was beautiful, the colors were vibrant and the marble cake flavor was so moist and rich. The butter cream frosting and cookie dough filling was really good too. Sometimes pretty cakes do not end up tasting the best however this cake was beyond pretty and tasted amazing. No complaints from anyone that ate it. I'm so happy that I have found a new bakery to use for custom cakes in the future. read more

One of the best (maybe THE best?!) cakes my family and I have ever had. I contacted Heather the night before I needed a cake and she happened to have what I needed on hand. She met me the next morning with a beautiful chocolate cake. We only had one person who needed the cake to be gluten free, but after reading other reviews I was fairly confident the cake would be amazing and no one would be able to tell it didn't have wheat - so happy to have been proven more than correct! The cake also happened to be vegan because it's what Heather had on hand. Let me tell you - no one had a clue it was vegan, either. My sister and I are both celiac. I was throwing her a baby shower and was looking for a cake that I knew was 100% safe. I am so happy I found Sugared Edge!! Not only did the cake turn out absolutely beautiful, it tasted AMAZING! We got a gluten free carrot cake. Even the non celiacs were raving about how wonderful this cake was. There is a nice variety of sweet treats, and the service provided by the team inside the truck was stellar. One of our student organizations was hosting The Scookie Bar, and after walking around their event, you could score a ticket for a complimentary Scookie. As we pre-ordered so many as incentives for our students, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, something wasn't set up properly so we didn't have the cookies themselves, but we did have sundaes. We had six options to decide between. I went with The Standard consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce, and on a normal day, there would have bene a chocolate chip cookie, too. The other five options included the Chocolate Lover, The Celebration, The Signature, Reese's Lover, and The VNA. While I enjoyed the sundae, I'm sure it would have been even better with the cookie included. The Scookie Bar is "where the scoop met the cookie" and serves freshly baked, warm deep-dish skillet cookies also known as scookies. They have a location at The Churchill in Downtown Phoenix, though I would assume I would more regularly see them when their food truck stops by ASU. Their Churchill location is closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10 PM. If you want to order catering, it includes 2 hours of service and a 100 scookie minimum. They can provide a Build Your Own Menu where guests can choose the cookie, ice cream, and toppings, or they can choose from the Signature Scookie Menu which is what ASU did. They have been operating since 2016 in Phoenix. Now that I realize that I was missing the chocolate chip cookie, I need to try it again with that included! I definitely recommend this sweet treat to others.

Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. Service (3/5): A little bit of bad luck, but on my most recent visit, they were having trouble with their refrigeration so no gelato was available. While interacting with the staff, it was an average experience. I will say that the service was much better in the restaurant. Drinks (N/A): I only got dessert, but they do have coffee and a few other beverages available. Food (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is known for its cannolis, tiramisu, gelato, and lobster claws (dessert, not real lobster haha). On my most recent visit, I had a cannoli. They have your classic cannoli but also a nice variety of other fillings including pistachio, Reese's, and more. A+ for creativity, though I decided to stick with the classic. Solid. I don't believe the server knew how to handle the less than formal style of the group I was with, but they did not turn us away and provided phenomenal service. The drinks had elegant garnish, and were well made. The most complicated might have been a vodka soda, but the additional touch was nice. For a start we ordered the oysters, which was kept everyone stuck between being nice and fair, and wanting to take all for themselves. We also ordered the octupus which was very good. For my main, I had the salmom rillete. Well made and pesented - I only thought to take pictures after I ate. Our group was never rushed for the bill and we enjoyed a beautiful evening sitting on their porch. I am looking forward to going back more "prepared" and enjoying their seabass or beef bourguignon.

I chose to sit at the bar, which turned out to be the best decision. I tried the oysters, the escargot, and the burnt Madeleine dessert--each one was absolutely delicious. But the highlight of my experience was the bartender. He was young, charismatic, and made such great conversation. As a visitor, he made me feel genuinely welcome, which really elevated the entire experience. I believe his name was John C. (though for some reason I thought it was Liam!). Either way, he was fantastic. The gimlet he made incredible and expresso martini even better. I would highly recommend this restaurant--definitely sit at the bar if you can!

The staff greeted me right away and made me feel at ease. They were knowledgeable and helped me pick the perfect pastry for my coffee. The bakery was spotless, even the glass cases were fingerprint free. I tried their custard bun and it was soft, creamy, and warm. Everything felt fresh and made with precision. There is no way that these treats can be good for you. I have never had Vegan, gluten free cupcakes, that tasted like the real thing, anywhere else!!! The only problem is they are not calorie free, because I would eat a dozen. read more
