First time ordering. Found this spot on Uber Eats with free delivery AND buy one get one free on some of the food items. The menu was creative and looked delicious. I ordered the pastrami egg rolls and the pastrami mac and cheese. The egg rolls are DELICIOUS! I'm not too fond of the OG sauce or Lit sauces. But they don't need sauce. OK, the reason for the rating...the Mac and cheese It was hard, dry and flavorless The pasta was hard and looked as if it had been sitting in a warmer most of the day. This was my second visit to this place. The guy who gave me my food both times was really nice. The first time I got the WTP sandwich and this time the pastrami grilled cheese. The WTP was really good, as well as the seasoned fries. The grilled cheese was a lil salty in my opinion, but still good. The fries were a lil spicer this time than I remember, but still good and hot and fresh. The only recommendation I can make is to please cut these sandwiches. I really didn't want to right this review, but it needs to be said for future customers that want there money's worth. Just went to POTR and ordered the WTH Pastrami w/ fries for $20.48 including tip. The food was ready in under 30 minute and as I rang the buzzer for my food, I was greeted by an African American male (Bald head) that looked like he either didn't want to be there or was ready to go home. He asked for my name, I told him my name, and when handed my food, 1) gave no eye contact and 2) When I told him "Thank you" his response was "Uh huh". Like I'm not expecting 5 star customer service from a fast food depot, but this experience was atrocious. Now to the food. The sandwich was underwhelming. The pastrami roll to meat ratio was bad. Not enough pastrami to match the large roll. Only good thing was the fries. Pastrami was overcooked, there were a couple of bites where the pastrami had "CRUNCH". Pastrami should NEVER be crunchy. I love supporting local businesses, especially in our neighborhood and this was a super disappointment. I work to damn hard to waste $20 on food and service that should be solid at best. I'm always on the look out for a place that serves either pastrami or chili cheese fries so I was excited when I found this place on Yelp and wanted to stop by before heading back to San Diego. I didn't realize it was in a food hub so I had to pull around to could order online before I driving back through to pick up my order - not a big deal at all though because it was worth the wait. I had a tough time deciding what to order, but went with the chili cheese pastrami fries, while my friend went with the loaded cheesesteak fries. The portions were great and she loved her order. I didn't get a chance to try her order but I absolutely loved my order. The fries were perfect, the chili was spiced well, with a little kick, the pastrami was grilled perfectly and there was a great balance of cheeses and cheese sauce - they might just be the best chili cheese fries I've ever had. The only thing I was disappointed about was not ordering more items - between the sandwiches, burgers and mac and cheese, I've got a lot to look forward to ordering the next time I'm in town. read more

Do yourself a favor and visit Pastrami On The Run! I have to say the inventiveness of the variety of pastrami options on menu is unlike anything I've ever seen! This is a unique find and I'm happy I'm able to try it and share it with my ppl! I definitely recommend to place your order 1st before going but thankfully I got lucky and the staff were nice enough to let me wait in their kitchen instead of in the car. The kitchen is immaculate and atmosphere is chill. The staff are super friendly! They Know what they're doing and you can tell making customers happy is their main priority. They also make great recommendations if you're not sure on what to order. They do an amazing job of describing anything on the menu! My pastrami was absolutely delicious, I normally have a food preparer to double double dip my french roll to ease the thickness of the bread but PASTRAMI ON THE RUN uses a Torta Roll instead...brilliant!! I could of used a tad bit of more meat but overall it was satisfying, the owner Germaine was very helpful with my order and threw in some extras to try. Let me tell you a story about someone whose eaten deli food his entire life happened upon this place by accident and had the best pastrami of his life. My family and I had just went and saw dinosaurs a couple of blocks away. We were hungry. I wanted something heavy and comforting. I went looking for another place, but when I saw the pastrami place on the list I went on my hunch. Boy did I pick right. Price is decent. But damn do they do pastrami right here!
