This was my second visit to this place. The guy who gave me my food both times was really nice. The first time I got the WTP sandwich and this time the pastrami grilled cheese. The WTP was really good, as well as the seasoned fries. The grilled cheese was a lil salty in my opinion, but still good. The fries were a lil spicer this time than I remember, but still good and hot and fresh. The only recommendation I can make is to please cut these sandwiches. Both sandwiches were whole, which makes it really difficult to eat if your trying to do it in your car. I had to wait to eat til I got back to work

Found this on TikTok. Loved how juicy my Pastrami was, and how friendly the staff was. 10/10 would recommend. We tried both Pastrami sandwiches and they both BUSS.

While waiting on my order I tried Tha Hardway - Pastrami Tacos and Pastrami Egg Rolls with bomb OG sauce n Pucker Up Lemonade drink

Do yourself a favor and visit Pastrami On The Run! I have to say the inventiveness of the variety of pastrami options on menu is unlike anything I've ever seen! This is a unique find and I'm happy I'm able to try it and share it with my ppl! I definitely recommend to place your order 1st before going but thankfully I got lucky and the staff were nice enough to let me wait in their kitchen instead of in the car. The kitchen is immaculate and atmosphere is chill. The staff are super friendly! They Know what they're doing and you can tell making customers happy is their main priority. They also make great recommendations if you're not sure on what to order. They do an amazing job of describing anything on the menu! I haven't left a review in a while but I feel compelled after my overall wonderful experience, from the friendly staff and the delicious food not to mention you get a lot of food as well for the price.

Pastrami tacos you will not be disappointed

It's been around for decades and has served tons of patrons over the years. Inside is huge with all sorts of tables and booths so it can host many different sized groups from small to large. It's located in a small shopping center so there is plenty of free parking attached directly in front, which is extremely convenient. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. For this visit, I started off with a cup of the Chili and thought it was actually really good. I am a huge fan of chili and don't often get some that I really love, but this was definitely one of those. Next came the Mini Blintzes and these were pretty nice. I prefer a full Blintz because it has a lot more cheese and filling, but still these were a nice start, especially if are were new to this appetizer. For my entrée, I chose the Pastrami Reuben and thought it was great. It was honestly huge and I even forgot to take a picture of it because I was excited to eat it. I would suggest if you are a fan of Rubens and would suggest this restaurant in general if you like a good deli.

This was my first time here, and I am told it is kind of an institution in this area. It is a pretty non-descript strip shopping center. It can best be described as an old-school diner/deli, full service, and pretty much always bustling. I was surprised that it was almost to capacity by 11:30am, even before the lunch rush. You take a look at the menu, and note that the prices appear to be about 5 dollars higher than places similar in nature; however, you will also soon realize that the portion size and value for that dollar goes a long way, and you will quickly notice that the price paid is really good for what you get. I ordered the Monte Cristo which was deliciously fried egg bread with turkey, ham and a side of jam. It came with potato or macaroni salad; however, I upgraded to fries which were awesome. The service was nice; however, definitely a little rushed. However, that may come with the type of establishment. Either way, the food came out fast -- the food was delicious and I would certainly return again in the future.

I stopped in just before the lunch rush--a good strategy, especially on a Dodgers game day--and everything clicked from the moment I walked in. The first thing that caught my eye was Elizabeth carving lamb right off the bone and building my French Dip sandwich in front of me. That's not theater; that's the way they've done it for years, and I loved every minute of it. The lamb dip was outstanding, just as I remembered. Add a crisp pickle, a side of coleslaw, and a Miller Genuine Draft, and you've got a lunch that doesn't need any fancy introductions. The sawdust on the floor may be gone, but the personality certainly isn't. Philippe's still feels like old Los Angeles. People share tables, strike up conversations, and enjoy a meal without anyone rushing them out the door. Then there's something you almost never find downtown anymore--free parking. That's worth mentioning all by itself. Could I explain why I'm giving Philippe's five stars? I suppose I could. But when you have friendly people like Elizabeth, a fresh lamb dip made right in front of you, reasonable prices, free parking, and more than a century of Los Angeles history, what more could you ask for? You may have seen this review, or a version of it, in one of the local publications I write for. I always pay for my own meals, and my opinions are my own.

If you're visiting the area, I highly recommend making a stop here. My biggest piece of advice is to go early because it gets incredibly busy by lunchtime--and for good reason! Keep in mind they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. While you can order online, I'll always choose to go inside so I can browse everything they have to offer. Their selection of fresh pasta salads is fantastic, and the desserts are always tempting. Whether you're craving lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, a chicken Parmesan sandwich, or one of their many other Italian specialties, you really can't go wrong. Be sure to check out the wine section in the back left of the market. It's extensive and absolutely incredible! This is the kind of place that keeps people coming back year after year, and it's easy to see why. Being Italian American and growing up with an Italian mother who loved feeding everyone, this was one of our favorite places to visit together. Those memories make every trip here even more special. My personal favorite is the Godmother sandwich--hands down one of the best you'll ever have. It's packed with flavor, made with quality ingredients, and it's the sandwich I find myself craving every time I come back. One of the things I love most about this place is the atmosphere. It has an energy that immediately makes you think of family. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to help, making you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. It has that warm, old-school Italian family vibe that's becoming harder and harder to find, and it's a big part of what makes this place so special.
