*Too Good To Go Experience* This place is located in a strip mall where Ocean Crab is located, thus a good number of parking stops. I ordered a surprise bag on the Too Good To Go app for pickup midday. I've never been before and these seemed a good way to try a new place out with a low impact if I became faced with buyers remorse. The place seemed clean and they had a large display of cakes with interesting flavors. They packaged the cake slices up nicely. The staff seemed cordial, but I didn't have that long of an interaction to make a true assessment. I enjoyed the texture of the cake slices as they were light, fluffy, and moist, similar to the ones at Korean bakeries. The slices weren't cut quite the same size, but it didn't seem like a significant difference. They both tasted pretty good although the flavors seemed more subtle - was expecting more mango flavor at least. Overall, not a bad experience and I wouldn't mind coming back to try more of there cakes to see if the flavors seemed profiles of their other cakes align more with my taste buds. read more

This is a fast food joint that used be more of a street food vibe and over time they've added North Indian and South Indian dishes. Food: We got 2 Garden Vegetable paninis (4/5), 1 Vada Pav (3/5), 1 Pineapple pastry (3/5) and 1 Black Forest pastry (4/5). Unfortunately the food did not hit this time like it always does. Garden vegetable paninis were great, but felt a little dry - had to use lots of ketchup. Vada in Vada pav was tasty, but the whole thing was way too dry. Needed more chutney, and adding ketchup did not help. Their pastries are something I always look forward to because they are moist and less sugary. If I could give this place negative stars, I would! On their sign it says "Indian Fast Food." There is nothing fast about this place. I waited 30 minutes for my order on a workday during lunch. Um, that was my entire lunch break. It is a TOTAL DUMP! No one should trust anything coming out of this kitchen. There were 5 men in the kitchen preparing food, answering the phone, taking money, and the entire time I did not witness any of them using good hygiene. Why are there 5 men in the kitchen and the output dismal while the restaurant is empty...a real head scratcher! Not sure why they didn't have vats of their diarrhea food prepared ahead of time! Definitely one of the best indian spots in Chantilly/Fairfax. And for the price, it is even more incredible. Have ordered here 3-4 times and is always so delicious. I've come here a few times since it's located near a jiujitsu gym that I regularly train. The parking is convenient as it's easy to find parking & leave too. The first thing I tried here was a samosa. They heated it up & it came out tasting full of flavor & warm. I was pleasantly surprised & have come back a few times. Today, I ordered a few samosas & a spicy bread (I'll try to remember the name of the bread but it had the word "chili" in it) I believe this is a family business & it's a welcoming place. I'm Korean American & like to try new dishes from various cuisines. VADA PAV was featured in a popular YouTube travel video that I saw, so I asked for it today. Pastry Corner has always been our favorite. We have enjoyed the pastries and they are truly delish. Reminds you of pastries back home. My orders are usually the ToGo kinds, however I will consider having a meal in their newly redesigned establishment. Our family has enjoyed chit-chatting with the friendly owners in our various trips. Since I am leaving a review - My sincere hope is their vegetarian and meat items are prepared separately and their is no cross-contamination, esp with the chopping board, woks, frying oils. That is hugely important for me and that the items be prepared fresh and are kept and cooked separately following the standards . I hope the management can comment on this and share their feedback back on this forum. I have also ordered their caked for parties and celebrations. Black Forest used to be one of my favorite flavor while growing up in India and they bring that similar taste here!!! I also like to stop by to get small snacks like Samosa and puffs. They bake fresh breads and their buns are great!! Their buns complements best with Indian dishes like Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav and Dabeli. This place also offers good deal for flavorful lunch if you work in the area. Overall their pricing is very reasonable. Recently I ordered Samosa Platter from them for the lunch party next day and those Samosa were fresh after 24 hours!! They offer soft drinks varieties of India as well to go with your meal. It was also lacking in flavor. The Puffs looked really good and I was excited to try this. Unfortunately, the pastry tasted old. Like it was sitting in the fridge for one too many days. I order 40 cupcakes for my daughters birthday and specifically showed design of cupcakes and asked for NO sprinkles. The day of, when we came at the previously discussed time for pickup, they just started decorating the cupcakes. Did NOT follow design and added sprinkles. When I called the manager, they said they will give credit on a future order. When I said ok unfortunately I will have to write a negative review online, they then said ok we can give you some money back on the order. Had the worst experience recently. All the food we tried (several items off the menu) were not good. The chaats specifically were terrible. I also noticed cleaning supplies were out in the open near the seating area in addition to some dirty old sneakers sitting near one of the tables likely belonging to one of the employees. Bomb! I've been to their branch inside the Ashburn Lotte grocery store, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that this location has mainly the same menu. Apparently they also have a Chantilly location. The woman working behind the counter was really nice, and helped me find what I was looking for. I tried an aloo puff, which was delicious after she warmed it up. It's a fried pastry stuffed with potatoes. Go with the tamarind chutney if you like sweet flavors. But....the chole bhatura was out of this world. Seriously, incredible!! If you've never had it, imagine the tastiest chana masala + fried bread. So good! I wasn't impressed with the panini at their Ashburn location, but my family loves their masalas, so maybe the trick is to not order the American-esque food on the menu? There are usually randomly placed notes and papers about other offered dishes, which aren't typically in English. I think that's where it's at! Ask for help or clarification :) the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I can kind of see where the other reviewer was coming from in terms of cleanliness. I came in the morning so it wasn't dirty or crowded, but the trashcan was still full from the night before...so much so that I couldn't fit my stuff in there. And....I'm back bitches!!! So I've been frequenting Hot Breads for lunch on a weekly basis for the past month or so. Reason being...their lunch time "Value Meal". But let's start at the beginning. The first time I came to Hot Breads I had their "puffs" and "croissants", which is why I stopped coming until recently when one of my coworkers urged me to join her for lunch. Bottom line, their Puffs and Croissants are under filled and not always fresh, no bueno. My coworker ordered a warp and swore by them, so I tried one also...a chicken tikka wrap to be specific. A Value Meal comes with an "entree" so a wrap, sandwich, panini, sub, etc., a drink, and a slice of cake for $4.99 + tax. They charge additional for the following...wrap + $0.70, a bottle drink instead of a can drink + $0.70, any cake choice except Mango Mousse or Black Forest + $0.70. Any of those up charges are worth it though because of the quality and amount of food given. For my first value Meals I order a chicken tikka wrap, Mango mousse cake, and had a bottles Mango Juice to drink...total came to $6.70 for lunch which included dessert which qualify's as extreme value in this area. The wrap itself is homemade flat bread and filled with shredded chicken tikka's, a cilantro based chutney, mayo, fresh white onions, lettuce, and slices of tomato. It wasn't very spicy so I added some of the red spicy chili sauce sitting on the table which did the trick. I crave these wraps now. After consuming a few of them though I give the following warnings, they can have extra moisture in them - but I think this depends on how much "juice" the tomato has, and the lettuce they use it not always fresh - on the not so fresh days I just remove the lettuce. But when they're good, they're good. The Mango Mousse cake is delicious and refreshing. Perfect for lunch. If you consume everything given to you in this value meal you will leave stuffed...even an over eater such as myself. This place is very easy to find and parking is a breeze. read more

I ask for two puffs he doesn't even wait for me to order more or requests if I need any more . He immediately bills and walk back into the kitchen . I must admit like others that this place used to be one of our fav joints. But no longer!!. Today was my LAST visit to this place. For the last 3 carry out orders, believe it or not, there was one main item missing. Never got a refund as well. The guy at the front desk, as others said, is rude (moustache and glasses). I told him today about my last 2 bad experiences and he laughed as if I was crazy or something and he did the same thing again. I forced him to crddit my credit card back immediately.
