The only criticism I have for this location is that they only offer one size drink, and it's not nearly big enough. Please offer multiple sizes! We were told it was a 45-minute wait for pastys and we just couldn't wait that long, so maybe also having the hot food ready would be a good idea. Still, the milk, tea and boba was amazing and I meant to come back by on our way out and try some more flavors but I got distracted. Such a cute little store in downtown frankenmuth! The service was quick and the staff was very friendly. Although it was super busy when we arrived, we were able to place our order quickly and our tea came out in a timely matter. Really enjoyed the ambiance and the wide variety of boba flavors. I ordered the milk tea boba and it was pretty decent, however, the bobas were super attached to each other and it was definitely difficult to drink them through the straw. While visiting Michigan, my family didn't want to leave until trying a pasty. Make sure you pronounce it correctly..."pass-tee". It's a beloved tradition in Michigan and now we know why. They're delicious!! They are traditionally meat pies...but you can get one without. I ordered the potato and cheese and it came with sour cream for topping. Be aware! It's not a light snack...lol! We travel to the UP a couple times every year and try to hit a new Pasty restaurant on every trip; we've certainly had our share. The pasties from the Pasty Haus can stand up to any of the UP efforts! Great crust, large cubes of veggies and chunks of meat, perfectly seasoned, and above all, not dry! They also offer unique combinations such as their Philly Steak pasty, which was a nice departure from a standard pasty. Vegan pasties are also available. This was the weirdest bubble tea i've ever had; I drink bubble tea at least once a week. I tried the lemon green tea as they said that the lemon flavor had less sugar than the other flavors. My daughter and I have traveled several places around this country. We consider ourselves connoisseurs of boba aka bubble tea. This is NOT how boba is supposed to look. The staff at the shop argued with us when we tried to bring the problem of the tapioca balls (boba) to their attention. We even showed them the gummy sludge in our straws and she said "Yeah, if that's the Tapioca kind that's how it is." NEVER have we been served tapioca bubbles in our tea that looked like this and with such a sludgy consistency. They didn't offer to replace or remake our drinks and dismissed us. RUDE! This is a fun place. The kids have always wanted to try it. We have walked in several times but this time we finally ordered something. They have an abundance of choices of flavors for their bubble tea. They have plenty of adorable plushies, stickers, and other cute gifts. Their pasties do look pretty good. But this is not your traditional bubble tea shop, so if you are looking for very authentic tea you might be disappointed. Like some other review state, we do go to bubble tea at least once a week and it is not going to taste like those places. But if you are looking for a unique refreshing drink, especially on a hot day, their fruit tea has three options: green tea, sprite, or lemonade. One child got a blue raspberry drink with sprite and blue raspberry jellies. The other got the more traditional milk tea with tapioca bubbles. They both finished their drinks. Service itself was amazing!! We had never been to a place like this before and they were not irritated by all of our questions at all. The drinks themselves were good enough. My complaint is that if you choose to leave a tip on your card or in the locked box at the counter then THE OWNERS keep the tip. BEWARE!! I really wanna like this place but the service was very terrible! Was strolling around and saw that they serve bubble tea so I got excited and went in. Looked around and didn't see any prices so we went to the counter and asked. The girls working there were basically arguing and didn't care that we have been standing for a while. I literally shook my head and thought to myself, this is such a shame for the business owner. When one girl finally came to the register, she wasn't patient to answer our questions as in what size is how much? I'm sorry but if you don't put the prices of the beverages on your giant wall of menu, I'm going to ask. We came up to Frankenmuth for Oktoberfest and as a bonus, it was mine and my husband's anniversary. We had a hankering for Pasties, from our time spent Up North, and thought a place called "Pasty Haus" would have great pasties. We were wrong. They close at 8 and we got there at 7:15, which we felt wasn't being rude to order food. We walked in and it looks like an ice cream shop. I wasn't sure where to order or how to stand in line behind the ice cream patrons. When we did order, the cashier expressed dismay that they would be closing soon -- I explained that we wanted to sit on the patio, and she was relieved. Our pasties were around $10 a piece and came on styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery, with no gravy. They were very dry and mine (traditional beef) was over cooked. They were cute and I believe handmade. But if you can't guarantee a quality product throughout the whole day, don't serve it -- stick to ice cream. When were done, there was no recycling bins, so our plates had to go in the trash cans, which just made us a little more upset about the whole experience. read more

I will start out by saying this couples bakery is AWESOME (I am a big fan), so I was excited to try out their new cafe! (they also own SugarRush in the same mall as their bakery). Location is super easy to find, right on Main St. in Downtown Frankenmuth, there are large signs that make it very easy to find (& they are right across from a hotel). The building is beautiful, they have a great patio to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings, but they also have a few tables inside for those super hot days. Inside you will find, ice cream, some cupcakes & other sweet treats from their famous bakery, a menu of cafe food items & beverages which include bubble teas. I do have to say that the food prices seem ok but their drinks are a bit high for my liking. Our bubble tea we got was Strawberry with Kiwi bubbles (the glass is filled with ice), cost us almost $6.00 for a 16oz glass (but you don't get 16oz of tea, the ice fills most of the space). Needless to say my poor kiddos were still thirsty on the warm day we came. We decided to go else where to eat just because the prices would have put us out more than we would like to spend. First time here. Never had boba but my kids like them & wanted to try one of their drinks. Everyone was friendly and the girl who took our order was so helpful explaining the menu. I don't write many reviews, but I have to do this one for my vegan friends. I order the veggie pasty which is vegan and had high expectations. They were quickly lowered once I got my pasty home and waited 30 minutes for it to heat up in the oven. It was not good. Definitely not impressed and will not be returning, for lots of reasons. First, I'll start with the good. The place was clean, so "yay" for them. Cheers to minimum achievements! Now, that's over with..... SERVICE - Really freaking bad. The place is all about the boba tea (or whatever) and It's clearly their priority. The job seemed to be more of a social opportunity as opposed to actual needed employment. Give me a high school kids who's trying over a rude yoga mom who thinks they are doing you a favor any day. As has been mentioned before, they have this huge menu of Pastys, but only 1/2 - 1/3 of the pastys are actually available. They have no system to tell you which ones those are. Go ahead, find one you want, then ask them if they have it. They probably don't. Then pick something else and play the guessing game again. Maybe your fourth choice is available, and keep in mind "available" means it's just in the freezer (see "FOOD" below). Oh, and they're annoyed because you're asking questions and aren't a yoga mom wanting boba tea. It's all about the boba tea. If they had a pasty filled with boba tea, perhaps our visit would've gone differently. As I mentioned, the clear focus is on the boba tea, and they are clueless about the pastys, and here's the big reason why I tell you the service SUCKS: 1.) Just before ordering, we are told it will be 35 minutes before the food is ready. Okay. 2.) Just after ordering (2 minutes after step 1),we are told it will be 45 minutes before food is ready. Okay, I guess. 3.) We come back after 50 minutes. Told it will be a few more minutes. 4.) After we wait a few more minutes (we're up to an hour on the wait by now), we are told it will be 5 more minutes. 5.)We end up waiting 80 minutes for this food. We were told 35 minutes. 80 minutes!!!!! Which seriously ate into our afternoon. FOOD - I'm so disappointed in myself for waiting 80 minutes for this glorified Hot Pocket. It was okay, but super dry and just not that good at all. You needed the floury tasteless gravy to add some moisture to the food. However, unbeknownst to my gluten free companions, they weren't told that their Hot Pocket would come without any sauce at all. Their's were super dry and tasteless and every bite needed to be washed down with a liquid. Oh yeah....it turns out all they are doing is heating up frozen pastys anyway. The things aren't cheap either, considering how bad they are. It was like $55 for 5 of us to get one pasty with no drinks or sides or upgrades or anything else. I would have been happier buying $55 worth of actual Hot Pockets (can you imagine $55 worth of Hot Pockets?). So, this place is really bad. They clearly pride themselves on their boba tea and the fact that somebody associated with the company made some good cupcakes several years ago on some cooking competition show. (Seriously, it's on endless repeat on the TV in the waiting...err "dining" room.) Those were definitely the glory days, because this pasty enterprise is bad news. read more

I really do enjoy the bubble tea here. They have such a variety of flavors. I come here about once a month, but they remember who I am. I like they recognize me in a positive way. My favorite that I usually get is mango milk tea with tapioca pearls. I've tried so many different combinations. Some I really enjoyed and wish I could remember what they were. Some, not so much, but glad I tried them. The mocha with coffee jellies is pretty darn good. I don't care for the jellies much, but these were really good. I'm not especially sure why I'm reviewing this place seeing as how I only had a bubble tea, but I am anyway. I got blueberry and lychee bubble tea because I hadn't had bubble tea before and figured I'd try it ... not bad. It's a disgusting comparison, but I find it oddly compelling, the bubbles pop in your mouth like a pimple. It's bizarre, but I like it. What I didn't like was the fact that it was five bucks for it. I'm no bubble tea expert (if you thought I was, you didn't read this review), but that seems a little pricey. As for other options, SugarHigh Cafe has ice cream (Ashby's... meh), cupcakes, dog treats, and food. I don't know the extent of their menu, but I did notice tater tot nachos on special. SugarHigh Cafe seems to be another nice addition to Frankenmuth. I'll go back again for food at some point. read more
