After reading these other reviews, I'm so glad I didn't hire them. Noted - always check Yelp before hiring! I requested an estimate to repair concrete steps - the estimate they provided was very vague, so I made multiple attempts to clarify the scope of services. Ultimately, I didn't have enough information to make an informed decision - if I hired them based on the one-line write up, I likely would have ended up in a dispute. When I asked for clarification in writing, 1 line of text was replaced with a new line of text which didn't address my main issue. Then someone from their company said I need a permit, but couldn't tell me what permit. After that they said they couldn't take the job because they took another large job. Ladies- Please do not enter into business with this Company without first READING THE CONTRACT!! You will be agreeing to allow the company to immediately place a lien on your home. This is a very small business, so they will expect you to have the entire amount of the quote available for payment the next day. Do not allow this Contractor to start on the same day that you receive a quote. Do not send a deposit in acceptance of the quote. READ THE CONTRACT!!! If you didn't receive a contract, do not send a deposit! ASK FOR THE CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE! If a Contractor delivers material to your home, this does not qualify as work in progress! Protect your pockets and your property. And watch out for hidden fees - this contractor will bill you extra for credit card fees. Be safe out there. read more

ZERO STARS! FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS! I don't even know where to begin. Shady business practices aside, the workmanship is absolutely deplorable! They should never be allowed to touch anyone else's property ever again. The reviews and photos on here must be fake. We stopped work and had to have someone else redo most of what they did. They used DRYWALL nails on a deck!! The used zinc nails that would eventually rust and cause our deck to fall. They put screws through our TREX deck boards! There were no braces or carriage bolts. Have you ever seen exposed screws on stairs or a deck? All of this had to be redone by our new contractor. I can go on and on. I wish I could post more photos. I'm so glad we stopped when we did. We would've had an unsafe, poorly done deck. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO DO THE WORK! read more

I reached out through Home Depots referral service on September 20, 2022 for a screen/screendoor job. I received a few texts and spoke with this company, Patch Masonry on 9/22. We talked and made arrangements via the phone for an initial appointment on 9/23. He came, took measurements and I didn't hear from him again until 9/27 when I called and asked him about the project. He asked me to send a deposit to a link (which I never got) for the appointment on 9/28, which I thought was canceled because there was no deposit. He showed up anyway (that should have been a clue) and asked me about the payment. I told him I never received a link and thought the appointment was canceled and he sent it while he was here. He put a screen in one door and I paid the $300 as he worked on the other door assuming it would be repaired. He then excused himself suggesting possibly ordering a new door or getting a smaller rubber that secures the screen. On 10/3 I texted him on which way he was going with it, he said he ordered the rubber to see if that would work. 10/7 I text him about a possible ETA when he would be finishing up and he said he will call to schedule the installation since he figured the rubber would probably be in that Wednesday. I actually find it hard to believe that a smaller rubber is not carried in Home Depot or any other store of the same nature. Here it is 10/19/22 at 6pm and I have not heard a thing from him. I paid the man in full when he was here because I ASSUMED he would complete the job that day. He left my screen out laying across my balcony (and I did thinking he was returning until I finally moved it). I'm sure Home Depot vets their contractors...I hope you do. This is why I went through you as a company. I hope he does better for future customers and I have of course kissed that money goodbye. I am now in the process of hiring someone else and feeling disappointed that I didn't give him whatever the deposit was. That may have ensured a completed job and if not it would have paid for the one screen and we probably would not be hearing about it now. Lesson learned. I'm about to post this EVERYWHERE. (I'm talking to Home Depot in this post. I just copied it over here) And really be careful because the conversation we were having as he worked was about OTHER businesses he has and one is Turo car rental. He has MULTIPLE businesses! Mixed feelings with my review because this company was recommended, but here it goes! Within the last year, I used two separate companies one to install a deck and the other to cement my yard. The first company completed the deck and left nothing behind, I mean removed and hauled away everything. Well for Patch Masonry, that's a different story! The work was done, but after completion I noticed disposable work gloves, plastic bags, and two small water bottles were left behind. To curb possible HOA fines, the area was cleared of small trash immediately. Days later, a guy stopped by to remove the remaining frame from the "finished product," but then added his debris to the existing pile! In all my years of hiring contractors/handy men I've never felt so disrespected nor were trash left as a thank you to the owner! On a different mindset I thought another service guys would stop by later, but I was wrong! Before calling I noticed the planks had protruding nails which was dangerous as our normal trash is extracted from that area. Okay, now I'm thinking to give one of ours a courtesy call, to inquire a pick-up window for their mess. Bottom line, I was told "I will see what I can do, but we don't haul!" I was left in total shock as to how do you not haul your own rubbish! Trust me, if this information were disclosed prior too, I would have took my money elsewhere!
