I am always on the hunt for a park with a good walking trail as I have been spoiled with padded tracked parks. One loop is about 0.6 miles. The park also has a community center for classes and renting meeting rooms, along with several tennis courts. There is a small playground area on the upper level. Parking is plentiful. Overall, I will come back again if in the area.

There is a diamond up here to play softball, a picnic area and throughout the walking path there are little exercise areas to additional things. Down below they have tennis courts and basketball courts and other buildings for group and community activities. Lots of shaded areas to bring your pups for walks. Beware there are rattlesnakes and coyotes that you may come across but leave them be and you'll survive. Don't feed the coyotes because they'll come back to the area for food where you're not there and potentially prey on other unsuspecting peeps.

They have a small side and a bigger kid side and my son enjoyed playing on both sides. I have noticed unsavory characters in the parking lot before but they left us alone. There seemed to be a restroom in the community center area but it was locked when we went so when my son had to use the restroom, it was time to go! There was also a nice little walking trail as well and baseball courts that we didn't use.

There is a round about parking near the entrance with a moderate amount of parking spaces but if you go past that further in there are more parking available. The play ground is quite large compared to other smaller park playgrounds. The cool think i like was that stairs from the first parking lot with the restrooms connect to the playground. So kids can jump right into the fun. Next to the playground its surrounded with plenty of picnic tables (concrete) and lets parents sit and relax while the kids play. The playground has multiple entries with two slides? Two monkey bars, stepping stone style elevated steps, a fireman pole, etc... definitely a fun park to come to. There is a little creek adjacent to the playground where you get a nice tranquil stream of flowing water drowned by the screams and laughter of children in the background, lol.. its nice really and something that sets it apart. We did not go further past the stream but there appears to be additional tables and a trail. Had a great time meeting our friends there and enjoying some fun times with the kids in the process. My kids loved it.

The bathroom is a small walk, but they have one which is more than some places can say. My biggest qualm with this park is that we usually run into parents/families not watching their kids. No fault of the park or the space, but some parks you have to make sure other kids aren't trampling over yours more -- this is one of them! We've come at different hours and I think early morning is best and the people tend to pay attention better. I think there's such great variety in things to do at this park: Swings, a merry go round type thing, a seesaw, rocking seat, about 6 slides, unique climbing elements and more! Parking is easy with a large lot right next to the lake, opposite of the lake are some hiking trails if you have more time. It's a nice loop going around with some different areas along the way such as a small creek, reeds near the shore, and some water works that looks like they have been turned off or no longer function. Even in Winter there are a lot of different birds around. My kids loved following and chasing the large pelicans in the lake. You can fish here and there are children's fishing competitions. Just keep in mind to have a permit because when we went there was a police officer checking and ticketing people.

I loved how it is secluded from the city and it was very quiet and less crowded. There is a parking lot that holds about 15-20 cars. Even on the weekends, it was still quiet. I loved how the park was well maintained and clean. The bathrooms were also very clean. The park offered 2 age groups background, 2-5 yrs and 5-12 yrs. The playground was pretty new as well too. My son loves coming here and be entertained for awhile and still want to go home. I love the fact I don't have to worry about watching my son whenever I'm at this park. The park offers a walking trail for you and your dogs. There are benches and even a bbq grill.

Outstanding park with a beautiful north view overlooking Diamond Bar, parts of San Gabriel Valley…read more(and mountains). Does not have the biggest grassy area, but there is a cool trail that connects you from DB Blvd. up to the park. Fun for hikers and people with dogs, and exercise buffs. The community center is also available for events and provides a lot of activities and classes for all ages. Cool for city locals

I'm not quite sure this is called Summitridge Trail or Grand View Trail because it has many names…read moresuch as Canyon Loop or Diamond Bar Loop. Anyhow, we parked our car at the Diamond Bar City Center then we started to hike. This trail is about a 1.5-mile loop trail. It takes an average of 47 min to complete. I would say this is an easy hike for us. However, we enjoyed this beautiful trail with some nice views up on the mountain. Some sections are a little steep but not to the top. This is a popular trail for hiking. We hiked on New Year's Day and the weather was so nice and it had a lot of people there. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
